animehamster: Well here’s another fanfic that I’m making … not sure if it was a good idea though…
Sasuke: Hinata-hime will be mine…
animehamster: -vein pops- You’re going to be pictured as “stoic” this time, so don’t fail me!
Sasuke: Tch, troublesome.
animehamster: (I’m going to kick his balls) I don’t own Naruto.
“So give me all your poison
And give me all your pills
And give me all your hopeless hearts
And make me ill”
Prologue: Build God, Then We’ll Talk: "What a wonderful caricature of intimacy”
‘Not again! Does this have to happen to me everyday!?’
A girl with long, navy hair was running down the normal street back to her house when anonymous strangers, who would hold her ransom for money, chased her … for the 17th time this week.
“We’re not here to hurt you, Hinata-sama! We just need to talk to you!!”
She turned back and stuck her tongue out. “Yeah, right!”
Hinata Hyuuga was the heiress to one of the wealthiest families in Japan. Of course, only being seventeen, she was still in danger from kidnappers, terrorists, but the most dangerous of all was her fan-boys. She shivered at the very thought of them.
“Doesn’t anyone see this happening!? HELP!!”
It was as if God himself answered her prayers. A shadow jumped down, grabbed her, and then ran away leaving the others behind.
‘A Christmas miracle in the middle of April?!’ She was skeptical but somehow relieved … at least until the realization hit her like a brick.
“Put me down!”
The stranger looked back for the first time and Hinata froze. Uchiha Sasuke was the one carrying her while jumping from roof to roof.
The Uchiha family was famous for the bodyguards that they supplied. They were so famous and well trained, that people paid for them to be their bodyguards.
Plus the fact that Sasuke was the second most popular guy at school (smart and good looking) only to her cousin, Neji Hyuuga. So overall, he was coveted by many girls … just not Hinata. In fact, Hinata didn’t really like him at all.
He was cold. Just the opposite of what she was.
“U-Uchiha S-S-Sasuke!?”
He rolled his eyes. This was the reaction that he expected. Hinata became quite furious at his response.
‘How can any person be so unfriendly?’
“Put me down this instant!”
He looked down at her with amused eyes and stopped on top of an unidentifiable house.
“You really want me to drop you here on top of this house with no way to get down?”
She grimaced. Of course his logic was right and all … but she just couldn’t stand him. They locked eye to eye in the halls at school every now and then but truthfully, they were all glares. The area surrounding them would become uncomfortable, and everyone seemed to back away slowly and disappear.
Unfortunately for them, the Hyuuga would hire the Uchiha often.
So Hinata tried another tactic.
“Why were you even here anyway? It’s not like you live around here…” A sudden notion passed through her brain and she shouted, “Don’t tell me that-“
But he muffled her mouth in order to silence her. The strangers just passed by, and they couldn’t afford to make a sound. When they were gone, Sasuke released her.
“You are really loud, you know.”
That was it. She slapped him and dropped to the ground and made her way back home. But before she got too far, Hinata looked back and coldly stated, “Don’t even think of coming near me again.”
Sasuke smirked as he ran a hand through his hair.
‘This will be fun.’
“I’m home!”
“Welcome back, Hinata-sama.”
The entire staff welcomed her back home as she entered the front gates to her home. Every time when Hinata would come back, she would feel much better knowing that she could relax. A maid stepped forward and asked, “How was your day today, Hinata-sama?”
Hinata’s good mood suddenly came to a halt. She was reminded of the kidnappers, then Uchiha Sasuke saving her. “It was fine,” she stated and stomped off to her room.
The maid was startled and asked, “Did I say something wrong?” The others shrugged.
Hinata opened the door to her room and had a pleasant surprise. “Neji-niisan!”
“Hinata-sama.”
Hyuuga Neji was her cousin and would have been the official heir if he accepted the role. They had always gotten along well.
“Is there something you need, Neji-niisan?”
“Uncle wants to talk to you.”
She was surprised. “Otou-sama?”
He nodded. “I’m to escort you there.”
“O-Oh, okay.”
They walked together to her father’s room and knocked on the door.
“Come in.”
Neji opened the door and her father, Hiashi Hyuuga, was looking out the window. He turned and spoke with a loud voice, “Hinata-san, how was school today?”
Hiashi Hyuuga was the leader of the family and ultimately decided the decisions made for the family. He was generally described as strict and cold but in reality, he loved his family and would do anything for them. They would still address each other with respect though.
Hinata curtsied and replied, “It was well, Otou-sama and how was your day today?” He smiled knowing fully well that his daughter was a lady through and through.
“Fine, thank you,” he paused, not sure of how to continue. Hinata noticed this and started to worry. As she opened her mouth to speak, her father continued, “I know you were chased again today, and I know you don’t want them but …” Hinata started to have a mini panic attack.
‘No … Otou-sama knows. He wouldn’t … he wouldn’t-‘
“But I hired a bodyguard for you.” At this moment, Hinata forgot what manners were and how it was to be a lady.
“You … YOU WHAT?!” She fell back into Neji’s arms and started to hyperventilate.
“H-Hinata-sama! Please calm down!” Fortunately for her, Hiashi was feeling a bit ashamed of himself for ignoring his daughter’s only request. But desperate times call for desperate measures.
He called the bodyguard in.
“You may come in.”
The door opened, and Uchiha Sasuke walked in.
Hinata, with no surprise there, fainted.
Sasuke’s P.O.V.
I silently laughed to myself as her cousin carried the young heiress up to her room.
“So I take it that you’ve met already?” I was pulled from my thoughts as Hiashi-sama called me.
“We know each other from school. She doesn’t seem to like me though.” He chuckled, and I felt my mouth slowly turn into a smile. Unfortunately for me, Uchihas weren’t allowed to show emotions. I was still amused but that was covered up quickly.
“I’m sorry, Sasuke-san, but Hinata has never liked bodyguards for whatever reason,” Hiashi-sama shrugged. I was curious now. What could Hinata-sama possibly have against bodyguards? “So the transaction will be 678, 000 for a year?”
“Yes, Hiashi-sama.” After all, this was just another job.
“How is your family doing?”
“Just fine.” He nodded.
“We’ll accommodate a room here next to Hinata-san’s so it will be easier for you to get to her in case she is in trouble. You will begin tomorrow.”
“Actually, Hiashi-sama, I would like to start today. No extra charges will be made, so you won’t need to worry about that.”
That piqued his interest. “Oh? Did something happen today?”
“Well you could say that someone passed by and decided to be good to her.” I bowed and exited from the room in smiles that I couldn’t keep back.
animehamster: Well that was longer than most of the stuff I wrote before.
Hinata: You write well though, Hamtaro-chan.
Sasuke: If you asked me, I would have added-
animehamster: I wouldn’t finish that statement. –plays around with Ike’s sword-
All: -sweat drops-
