A/N: This is based on my Pokemon character’s Lucario. It's meant to be short. Just read.

Disclaimer: Oh yeah. I don’t own Pokemon.

I remember when I finally evolved.
It was partly cloudly outside. The sky was murky and she said that she preferred sun showers, since plants got all that they needed during those. I just smiled. I didn't understand my feeling for her at the time; I was still so young.
We had just finished a battle with a woman with green hair in a long braid. I forgot her name. But it doesn't really matter now. All I really remember is standing there, feeling exhausted yet proud. Then she came running over to me, badge in hand. She wrapped her arms around me. Then she said something that made an intense warmth rush through me.
"I love you!"
My eyes widened. I felt a great power welling up from deep within me. Before I knew it, my body was shining with a strong light. She told me later that beams of light had shot out of me as if I were about to explode; it rather startled everyone. A strange tingle crept over my body, and I felt my body shifting...changing.
When the light faded...I was taller. Stronger. Faster. My species is said to evolve during the day, when we are happiest.
And then I realized why I had changed: I loved her. What she said made me feel ecstatic. I loved her. What she said brought my joy to its peak. I loved her. What she said made my life worth living.
I loved her.
I wrapped my arms around her in return and held her close. I didn't want to ever let go. Ever.
I loved her.
And I still do.
