Mega Man Battle Network Quickie 3!

This is another one for you, “Musashi”!

Lan is taking a walk around in the town. He’s thinking about what would happen, if there was a way to merge the different worlds together. But, he also had a feeling that someone is going to come to their world very soon.

Meanwhile, in a different world!

Misaki Suzuhara was sitting on her chair, wondering what she could do in a time like this. Suddenly, a picture of S in a window appeared on the screen of her Angelic Computer.

Misaki: Who are you?

S: I’m known as S. I’m a Network Navigator, a virtual/digital being of humanoid appearance from another world.

Misaki: Why do call me for?

S: I’ve chosen you and your Angel Hikaru, to help my daughter, her friends, a boy and his Personal NetNavi, in this boy’s world. I’m giving you the Mark of S, so that you can use your Angelic Doll as a NetNavi, when you plug her into any computer unit. I’ll give you time to pack your important stuffs, the ones involving Hikaru, then you just have focuses on that I’ll arrive, so you can tell me through telepathy, that you’re ready.

The window with S disappeared from the screen. Hikaru packed down her Angelic Layer equipment, which was her computer, the Customize Platform and the respective wires, plus the two rings that she place on the platform, along with her own VR Helmet (She needed a personal one for this adventure, so I let her have it.) in a suitcase. She then placed her bag with her Angel Hikaru in it on her shoulder, held tight in the suitcase, and shut her eyes, focusing on S appearing in front of her. Suddenly, a mental picture of S appeared in Misaki’s mind.

S: I see you’re ready.

Misaki: Yes, so take me to this new world.

S held out her hand, which started to have a glowing symbol, shaped as her mark, on its palm. Suddenly, Misaki were sent to the World of Battle Network.

Later, back in Lan’s world.

Misaki opened her eyes and looked around. She saw a strange kind of town around her. Right then, she heard a voice from behind. It was Lan’s voice.

Lan: Hey, you must be sent by S, am I right?

Misaki turned around to face Lan, and nodded.

Lan: Well, if you want, you could stay at my place, or you could live in the house Sasami used.

Misaki: Uh, thanks. By the way, I’m Misaki Suzuhara.

Lan: Well, I’m Lan Hikari. It’s a very nice pleasure to meet you, Misaki. I can help you with your suitcase, if you want to.

Misaki: Arigato, Lan!

They walked to Lan’s house. Later, in Lan’s room, Misaki opened her suitcase, took out her stuff and placed it on the computer table. Misaki connected all the wires into their recommended inputs, including plugging the power cable into a port in the wall. She then placed the two rings on the platform, followed by putting the computer, which activated the platform, causing the upper ring to levitate, creating a holographic containment tube. The last thing she did was connecting her VR Helmet’s cord to her Angel Computer. She took out Hikaru from her bag, and placed her in the tube. She then turned to Lan.

Misaki: Lan, I need your help here.

Lan: Sure, what is it, Misaki?

Misaki: Well, S told me that I could make my Angelic Doll Hikaru act like a NetNavi, but I don’t know how to do it.

Lan: Hmm, first we connect your computer to mine, then we can transfer some data to your computer.

Right then, Lan’s door opened, and the ones who came in were the Mew Mews.

Zoey: Hey, Lan, who’s your new friend?

Lan: Oh, this is Misaki Suzuhara. She’s been sent here from her own world.

Renee: Has she told you about her own adventures, yet?

Lan shook his head, and then turned around to face Misaki.

Lan: Looks like Renee got a point, so you better tell us from the beginning, including all details you can tell us about.

Misaki nodded, and started to tell the group about her adventure involving her Angel Hikaru and Angelic Layer. This made everyone get amazed and interested. Then Lan told her about his, Mega Man and the girls’ adventures. After that, Misaki showed a very amazed reaction in her face.

Misaki: Wow that sure is a great story to tell.

Lan: Well, thank you. Now, let’s start transferring data.

Misaki nodded as Lan connected her computer to his. He pressed in some buttons, which Miskai did on her computer as well, and then the process started. Suddenly, the data transference effected both of their computers, as well as Hikaru, and Lan’s Advance PET, with Hub inside it. After they were done, Lan took his PET to check out his brother.

Lan: Hub, bro, how are you doing?

Mega Man: Just fine, Lan. But I feel some new powers flowing inside me.

Lan: Okay! Say, Misaki, how’s Hikaru?

Misaki: Just fine, I guess.

Just then, Hikaru opened her eyes, looked around and started to speak.

Hikaru: Wow, what’s going on?

Misaki: It worked. Now Hikaru can probably act more like a NetNavi.

Lan: Congratulations, Misaki. This means that you should be able to use her in NetBattles. We can maybe find someway to make your VR Helmet work like a PET. Try to connect it into my PC.

Misaki: Okay, here we go.

Misaki disconnected her helmet from the laptop and attached its cord into a plug-in port on Lan’s PC. Suddenly, some strange kind of information started to show up on the screen. Right then, a program window for Video Link Communication appeared and showed the NetNavi S.

S: Hello, Chosen Warriors.

Lan: S, what do you want?

S: Nothing, just tell you that the reason to why I sent Misaki to your world. The systems and functions for Angelic Layer can be used to let your brother live outside the PET, more similar to a regular person, than before, as an Angel.

Lan: But I don’t have any of the stuff for Angelic Layer, especially an Angelic Doll, like Misaki does. How are you going to solve that problem?

S: Simple, I will make a temporary communication link with the HQ in Misaki’s world, and let them make you a male-type Angelic Doll, along with the necessary tools for that. Here we go.

Suddenly, another Video Link window appeared, directly next to S’ own one, on its right side. On the screen was there a picture of Icchan, who started to show a surprised look in his face.

Icchan: Hey, Misaki, where are you, and who are the others?

Misaki: Oh, this is Lan Hikari, and his friends are a group of Mahou Shoujo called the Tokyo Mew Mews. I have been sent to a world, there the most electronic stuff are connected to each others through a very advanced version of Internet called the Battle Network. In this world, people have devices called PET, which is short for Personal Explorer Terminal, and inside these devices, they have a digital kind of life form called Network Navigators, or NetNavis for short. Lan, show up your PET for Icchan.

Lan nodded, and showed his PET, with his brother Hub still inside it, for Icchan, by facing the front of the PET towards the video link window.

Icchan: Fascinating, a virtual humanoid creature inside a handful-sized computer system. But, why is this video link created?

Misaki: Well, an interdimensional NetNavi called S sent me here, after showing up as a video link message on my “Angelic Terminal”, and she told me that this world has the technology, to make Angels become living beings with own will and thoughts, plus that they should be able to get the ability to appear both in real life and inside computer systems. She made this video link, so that we could communicate with you and tell you about this.

Icchan: Is that all?

Lan: Not really, sir. You see, we need you to make a full set for people, who’re rookies when it comes to Angelic Layer. So, do you think you could give us that kind of set, just with a male Angelic Doll?

Icchan: Sure, just wait a moment. Oh, and can you make sure that we’ll get a bunch of CDs with all the current programs, data and information about NetNavis, Battle Network and PETs, which include all its featured technology?

Lan: We’ll do our best to try, Icchan.

Icchan nodded and started to go away, to make sure that he and his companions would make a full set ready for Lan.

Misaki: I hope you don’t mind this, S.

S: It’s just okay, Misaki. By the way, I have a surprise for the Tokyo Mew Mews.

Zoey: Really, what?

S: I’m going to use my powers to bring the two other Mew Mews to help you fight evil.

All the Mews: Ringo and Berri?

S: That’s right, so good luck with them.

Suddenly, the window for her video link started to glow in a bright shine, and shoot out sparks. Almost directly, the sparks started to shoot out in form of lightning, which turned into two girls that the Mew Mews know. The girls started to make a group hug, except for Renee.

Ringo: What happened, Zoey?

Berri: Yeah and where are we, anyway?

Zoey: You’ve been sent here by a digital human called S, who’s a so called Network Navigator. She brought you here to help Lan and his brother Hub, who’s been revived as a Network Navigator himself, fight evil organizations of Network Terrorists.

The two new girls were gasping, like a couple of silly girls, or weird persons.

Berri: So, how do we get back to our own world?

Corina: When the time comes, and you’ve done your work in this world, by helping us defeat the evil.

Ringo: And how are we going to help Lan and his digital brother?

S: Simple, I have just upgraded the five original Mews’ Marks of S, so they will not only exist in form of the Mews' Henshin Medallions, but they should also let you use some of Lan’s Battle Chips, so that you can act like actual NetNavis. And what I mean with “you” is that I’ve modified yours to work in the exact same ways, as theirs are.

The two new Mews nodded. Suddenly, Icchan was back on his screen, facing the heroes.

Icchan: Okay, Misaki, I’ve prepared all the stuff you guys asked for.

Misaki: Does that mean “even what will be needed to design Angel clothes for Hub, as well as the VR Helmet?”

Icchan: Of course, Misaki.

Misaki: Well then, place the stuff on your computer chair, and take a few steps away from it.

Icchan did as he was told, and S used her powers to send the all stuff through the computer screen, to Lan’s bedroom, materializing it on his bed.

Icchan: Did it work?

Lan: Yes, it landed on my bed, completely safety.

Icchan: Well then, see you guys around. And, S, make sure that you can let us have communication to both Lan and Misaki through their computer screens.

S: I’ll do it. Bye!

And with that, the video link with Icchan ended, and the window was gone.

S: Misaki, since no one has been using that house Sasami used under her time here, you can use it in her place, while you are in this world. And don’t forget to connect your Angelic Terminal to the PC she used, when you get there. You should connect your equipment to the computer, just like you did earlier with Lan’s PC. Well, good luck, and take care of you. Especially you, Kikki, my sweet little girl!

Kikki nodded, and with that S disappeared from the computer screen, along with her video link. Misaki disconnected all her stuff, after she packed down Hikaru into her backpack, and placed it in her suitcase. And with that, Lan took her suitcase, while Misaki carried her own backpack, and they started to walk their way to Sasami’s old house.

When they arrived Lan opened the door, with the key Sasami gave to him, before she left for her own world, along with Ryo-Ohki, and the two teenagers walked into the house. They walked up to Sasami’s old bedroom, there Lan put down the suitcase on the floor, which Misaki did to her backpack. She took out Hikaru out of the pack, and placed her on the computer table. Misaki packed up the equipments from her case and started to connect it into the PC, just like she did with Lan’s own one earlier, as well as plugging in the power cable for her terminal into the wall. Lan left, after giving her the key for the house, and turned back home.

Later in Lan’s bedroom, he started to pack up the equipment, and connect it the same way as Misaki did with her own stuff. He read the instructions to make sure that this was how it should work. After he had inserted the power cable into the jack in the wall, he started to follow the instruction of how to activate the Angelic Doll. When he understood, that he needed to have it with him, when he was going to take a regular bath next time, he told the Mew Mews to wait downstairs, in the living room. He also told them that no one was going to interrupt.

After he had entered his bath, brining in his Angel Egg with him, opened the egg, took out his doll and placed it in the warm water, he did go back into his bedroom. He put on his clothes again, while he placed his Doll on the desk, in front of the programming platform, and then he started to put on the Terminal. He read the instructions, and then he pulled down the two rings on the platform. When that happened they started to levitate, forming a cylinder of orange, digital light. He then read the instructions about designing the Doll’s hair. He designed it after Hub’s hairstyle, and the hair was indigo, just like Hub’s. He placed the “wig” on the Doll’s head, then placed it inside the cylinder, there the doll was levitating, while the digital light did censor its entire body. Lan turned over the terminal, typing in the customizing design, basing it on how Hub was as a NetNavi. When he saw the name table, there he was going to type in the name for his Angel, he got uncertain.

Hub: Lan, is something wrong?

Lan: Not really, Hub. It’s just that your name, Hub, doesn’t seem to fit for an Angel.

Hub: Well, remember that Lan and Hub was only our nicknames to each others, when we were small.

Lan: Hey, your right, so that means, that just like my real name is Netto, I should use your real name, Saito.

He typed in the name Saito. After that the customizing was completed, the cylinder started to lower/go down, starting to reveal the full body of Lan’s new Angel. But, Lan forgot that he wasn’t good at designing clothes, so he logged in his brother into the Network to talk with Misaki, and tell her to help him design the clothes for his new Angel.

After a few minutes, Lan logged out his brother, back into the PET. Suddenly, the Mew Mews came in, along with Misaki. She started to use the textiles Lan got, to design a perfect clothing for the Angel Saito. She made it become an alternate form of Mega Man’s outfit as a Net Navi, which was partly based on Hikaru’s outfit. She then handed over the Angel Saito to Lan, who examined it.

Lan: Wow, you are very talented, Misaki. Thanks for your help.

Misaki: It was nothing, Lan. I can help you clean up the stuff, if you want to.

Lan: Sure, thanks a lot. I go and get the Angelic Doll’s Egg out of the bathroom, while you guys start to help me clean up here.

The Mew Mews giggled, along with Misaki.

Lan: This is going to be something interesting to tell the others. But, I think we better take it easy for a couple of days.

The others nodded.

I hope you get back online with your work, “Musashi the Master”. By the way, when Zoey and her friends return to their world, can you let them have CD containing programs to modify mainframe system of computer units, so that they could make the computer system on the Mew Café get upgraded, to have functions similar to the PETs in Lan’s world? I’m just wondering!

If you do, then can you let Sasami have that kind of CD, when she’ll return to her own world? I bet that Mihoshi could install the programs on that CD into her spaceship’s computer system, just like Washu would do to her own computer.
