The white, sticky substance dripped down Faith’s chin as she leaned back in the passenger seat. Her chest was rising and falling fast, and Bosco could feel his own doing the same.

“I know that look,” she said.

He played innocent. “What look?”

“Like the cat that got the cream.”

His smirk grew as she looked away. “Thanks, by the way.”

Though she was trying to hide it, he saw that devilish smirk forming on her lips. “For what?”

“For the Cadbury Crème Egg.”

She looked sideways at him, her gaze momentarily lingering on his moist lips. “Thanks for sharing.”
