For Zebbie, Cee, and LadyClark. Thanks for being there for me today. You guys really don't have to, but you do anyway, and thanks for that. I know that if I need you guys, I know where to find you.

Summary: Set after Marian's death. The gang is there for Robin, and not abandoning him. Cheesy, but I had to do it. To the song of Find Out Who You're Friends Are by Tracy Lawrence.

Find Out Who You're Friends Are

Run your car off the side of the road
Get stuck in a ditch way out in the middle of nowhere
Or get yourself in a bind,
Lose the
shirt off your back,
Need a floor, need a couch, need a bus fare

It had been over a month since Marian had died. And Robin was barely coping. Unable to really do anything, and feeling completly worthless. But something he had noticed was the Gang was with him every step of the way. The gang was trying to help him cope as he moved along, standing next to him every step of the way.

This is where the rubber meets the road
This is where the cream is gonna rise
This is what you really didn't know
This is where the truth don’t lie

The gang wasn't about to abandon their leader. Not when he needed them the most. Robin may not admit it, but the Gang was all he had after he had lost Marian. And they weren't going to leave him in the dust. Robin had saved all of them, brought them a life, a better tomorrow. They all owed him for that.

Find out who your friends are
Somebody’s gonna drop everything
Run out and crank up their car
Hit the gas, get there fast
Never stop to think “what’s in it for me?”
Or “it’s way too far”
They just show on up
With their big ol’ heart
Yeah find out who your friends are.

Robin had started to notice that the Gang had, was trying to, and always would try to help him. They weren't going to leave him now. Even with how he was acting, how he was treating them, they weren't going to leave him behind. They weren't going to abandon their friend and leader. They would stand side by side with him till death. They weren't going to leave him behind, not now or ever. They were going to help him grieve, and hopefully one day, move on.

Everybody wants to slap your back
Wants to shake your hand
When you’re up on top of that mountain
Then one of those rocks will get wet
And you slide back down
Look up and see who’s around then

Robin remembered that Much had gone with him as an outlaw. Much didn't have to become an outlaw, he could of got the lands he had been promised. But Much had followed him into the forest. First the war, than as outlaws. Much was the best family he could ever possibly ask for. Much was like a brother to him, always had been and always would be.

This aint where the road comes to an end
This aint where the band wagon stops
This is just one of those times when
A lotta folks jump off.

Normally, anybody would have abandoned him. He was weak at the moment. And Much didn't have to follow him into the forest. That was Much's choice. Much had made the decision to stick with Robin. And anyone else in the Gang, John, Will, Allan, Djaq, they didn't have to stay. They chose to stay. They chose to be the new hope for England.

Yeah find out who your friends are
Somebody’s gonna drop everything
Run out and crank up their car
Hit the gas, get there fast
Never stop to think “what’s in it for me?”
Or “it’s way too far”
They just show on up
With their big ol’ heart
Yeah find out who your friends are.

Each of the Gang members knew the risk of being in his Gang. Fighting for the cause Robin believed in. But they did it because they also believed in it, believed in Robin. They believed that Robin could lead them. They could have left, they could have quit at any point in time, especially now. But none of them did. None of them could do that.

When the water’s high
When the weather’s not so fair
When the well runs dry
Who’s gonna be there?

Robin semismiled as he walked over to the Gang's conversation. The gang was glad to seem him in it for a chance, and kept the conversation going. Robin even joined in. The Gang smiled.

Yeah find out who your friends are
Somebody’s gonna drop everything
Run out and crank up their car
Hit the gas, get there fast
Never stop to think “what’s in it for me?”
Or “it’s way too far”
They just show on up
With their big ol’ heart
Yeah find out who your friends are.

They liked the fact that Robin was smiling. They knew it would be hard for him, but they would always be there for him.

Yeah find out who your friends are.

Robin was glad to be in their conversation, it was helping them, and it was helping him. He knew Marian wouldn't have wanted him to shut his family out of his life.

Run your car off the side of the road
Get stuck in a ditch way out in the middle of nowhere
Man I been there
Or get yourself in a bind
Lose the shirt off your back
Need a floor, need a couch
Need a bus fare…
Man I'll be there...
Yeah, I'll be there.

Once again, thank you Zebs, Cee, and LadyClark. I don't know what I would have done if you there hadn't listened, and I know that's pretty much all you can do for me, but listening just so happens to be enough for me.

Luv you three like sisters,

Mira.
