AN: Here’s the first part of the Sketch/Vicki series. To understand their pairing, read my story Cats And Kittens (which isn’t complete yet). This just shows you how they got together, so it will be short. The prologue is a glimpse of how they’re like, together, but after this, the chapters take place before this one. Hope everyone understands!

Prologue:

Books, Shelves And More Shelves

Vicki stared at her open books, her hands stood poised, ready to write and do some work. Instead of doing the correct thing, she felt her eyes glaze over. She found herself thinking of him. A sigh escaped from her lips, it slowly morphed into a smile.

His lips worked at hers … caressing and teasing, leaving an ache in her bones, a certain paralysis in her limbs, in her mind. His hands moved lower, down her back and rested on the top part of her hips.

Vicki’s blush became complete as she remembered how tightly they had embraced every time they– … how he showed her where every perfect hiding spot was … in order to kiss … he would know where they were. She cleared her throat and leaned back in her chair. After inhaling, she told herself to concentrate on her work.

Damn him and those mental images.

Thankfully he wouldn’t find her here, in the library.

They were dating for a few weeks now – only more than two, that is – and no one in the school knew. They had agreed to keep it to themselves, to enjoy what they had, before their followers would find out and watch their every move … report on their every second together.

She knew that Shelley knew. Shelley would know, of course, she knew him well … but not as well as her. Then there was her dance partner … Paulie, she was sure that he knew, that he saw the glances between them. The smiles, the whispering, everything. Still … it was a secret.

The Council turned around, after hearing Vicki whisper: “Sketch, stop it!” They stared between Vicki – she cleared her throat, a blush covered her cheeks – and Sketch – he stood still, staring right back at them as though nothing had happened, his hands remained behind his back, suspiciously.

Suddenly she felt someone behind her. She ignored it … she was hidden quite well, surrounded by books and shelves. Vicki felt the presence move behind her and without looking, she knew that it was hovering over her shoulder.

Maybe some stupid fanboy – or fangirl. Vicki tilted her head to the side, continued to stare at her book and her work when – a tongue reached out and licked her cheek.

Vicki gasped, turned to stare Sketch who grinned mischievously at her.

Sketch!” She whispered in shock. The blush that always emerged when she saw him, came out in full force. “You disgusting boy!”

“You were thinking of me.” He whispered in return. It wasn’t a question. He licked his lips as he leaned in, towards her.

“What are you doing here?” She whispered, trying with all her will to ignore his intoxicating self. “You normally avoid the library at all costs.”

Sketch’s face hovered inches before hers and he told her, after giving her a wink: “Well, we both know about the places that you chose to hide … seeing that I always find you-.” He leaned in even closer. Vicki thought that her neck would break. “-and there weren’t a lot of options left … I thought I’d try this.”

“You’re so clever.” Vicki crooned at him, hoping that he would stop his slow, torturing slow, attempts of getting closer to her.

“Hmm.” He agreed as he nearly closed the small distance between them.

Suddenly he stopped, Vicki blinked at him and then he said: “Come.”

He straightened, helped her out of her chair and dragged her towards a section of the library that she didn’t use before.

“Where are we going?” Vicki asked, feeling slightly afraid but excited at the same moment. Oh, her heart wouldn’t stop pounding.

“A section that no one ever uses.” He replied.

“And how would you know what …” Vicki continued to whisper, not even suspecting a thing.

She continued with her whispered words until they came to the backmost section of the library – the section that was least used and well hidden – when he suddenly turned and had her back against the bookshelves.

Vicki managed to stop her surprised squeal – or maybe Sketch swallowed it as he kissed her.

As slowly as possible, he wrapped his arms around her waist … pushed his body as close as he could to hers.

All reason had vanished from her mind the moment their lips had met.

This was all too good – and bad at the same moment. How could something so great be so wrong?

Oh God, oh God oh God.

He expertly kissed her … they had only went to this level a few days ago ... and, like a master over a slave, he had her open her lips for him. They had wanted to take it slow, very slowly, snail slow … but their agreement had simply vanished hours, many hours ago … in a blur of racing emotions (Their kisses had soon fired up).

She wanted to purr, she wanted to rub his shoulders, his back … all the way to his waist and to his chest – but she was a lady, oh she wished she wasn’t. His heaving chest moved against her breasts … it made her weak.

His tongue danced over hers, coaxing her, teasing her … his lips moved against her, so perfectly, so –

“Sketchly Johnston!” The voice belonging to the librarian snapped at them and Vicki quickly pulled away from Sketch.

Vicki lowered her head in embarrassment as she watched Sketch turn, as cool as a cat, to the seething old woman.

“Hello, Marie!” Sketch greeted friendlily and a little too loudly.

“You won’t smooth talk your way out of this, this time, boy!” She snapped, waving her finger at him. “How many times must I tell you that the back of the library isn’t the spot to take your ‘friends’ to? And – oh my!

Vicki had turned, pulled herself out of Sketch’s grasp – with difficulty – and faced the librarian. For a moment the woman stared at her in shock. Her mouth wobbled, opening and closing for a few seconds.

“Victorie Le Grange!” She gasped and Vicki’s face became blood red. “I never expected this from you.”

Vicki gave her a breathless laugh – that was the poor woman’s lack straw.

“Sketchly, out!”

Sketch nodded, though he was still grinning and he turned to cup Vicki’s face and kiss her, gently. When he turned and let her go, giving her wink as he left, Vicki felt her knees buckle. Luckily she managed to stay upright.

He left, leaving the old woman – Marie – staring at his well defined shoulders. Then she turned to Vicki.

For a while, they stared at each other, until Marie told Vicki, gently: “I understand … completely.”

With her face warming for a millionth time, she watched the librarian leave with a rare smile adorning her face.
