Terra Mesa

One of her nunchucks was gripped tightly in her hand. Her knuckles were white. She couldn’t help it, she was trembling.

Her back was to him. She was furious. Suddenly, she spun around.

“You- you killed them! You killed all of them!” tears brimmed in her eyes and her voice choked up. The bodies of her comrades lay on the floor.

Repton could have used this to his advantage. He could have finished her then.

This wasn’t his fault. Well, it was… but he didn’t want it to be.

He had never seen this much pain in a person before. But he was hardened- he couldn’t look weak.

“I hate you!” the girl shrieked, clearly hysterical.

“I know,” Repton hissed.

He had to kill her now, or Cyclonis would-

Anger burned at the girl. He wouldn’t get away with this. She ran at him, then jumped, ready to attack.

But he blocked. He threw her on the ground, thinking she would fight back. But she dissolved into tears.

“Oh, stop,” he said coldly.

She knocked his feet over, effectively toppling him down to the floor with her. Tears streaming down her face, she leaned over and started punching him with fury- his face, his neck, his chest. “You- bastard-“

Repton fought back and shook her off. She glared at him, but probably knew she couldn’t fight well in this state.

And she ran off.

Repton didn’t chase her. Even raptors felt sympathy. But he never wanted to mindlessly kill Sky Knights. Cyclonis did. Now, Terra Mesa was hers. If Repton hadn’t killed them, Cyclonis would have killed him.

Maybe she would have been better off dead. Perhaps that was what she wanted right now.

And the girl had left behind the Interceptors shield.

You all know who the girl is. It’s Starling. Just what I thought happened between her and Repton when the Interceptors were killed. Please review!

You know, and I don't know why, but I think Starling and Repton could be a couple. Who knows, it's possible.
