Baby Mine
Luthvian passed Teresa once more before screaming her lungs out and falling down to the couch opposite her. Teresa continued to watch Luthvian as she dug into her thighs, her head between her legs, and breathing hard. When she got her breathing under control, Luthvian, looked up to Teresa with tears glistening in her golden eyes.
"Mother Night, this wasn't supposed to happen!" Luthvian cried out, slamming her fists down onto the leather and roughly pushing herself up. Teresa nodded her head and took in a sigh before she let out the words.
"I told you to take the contraceptive," Teresa said slowly.
Luthvian turned angry eyes on Teresa and rushed at her friend and grabbed her shoulders, squeezing hard enough to break bones.
"I know, the bastard even reminded me, but I still didn't; it wasn't even my fertile time," She said with anger rising in her voice. Teresa stared straight into Luthvian's golden eyes with her own, ignoring the pain spreading through her shoulders.
"You should have been prepared, anything can happen," Teresa said, her voice lowering as she spoke the words. Luthvian gazed into Teresa's eyes then shook her head painfully, her grip on Teresa's shoulders loosening.
"It doesn't matter if I used them or not, but what's going to happen now?" Luthvian asked no one in particular.
"You raise the child," Teresa advised, never averting her gaze from Luthvian.
Luthvian stamped her foot down at that and began to shake her head with vigor.
"I can't raise this child, I'm not fit to be a mother," Luthvian said with sadness in her voice.
An aching silence filled the room at Luthvian's words. The two women, Luthvian with her head bent and tears in her eyes and Teresa staring off into space, didn't know the proper words to fill the silence. Finally, Teresa stood up from her seat and walked up to Luthvian before pulling the other women into her arms. Luthvian rested her head on Teresa's shoulders and continued her silent tears.
"I want to raise the child, I do want a baby of my own, but I don't want to see it's father in it's eyes," Luthvian said, pulling away from Teresa and walking over to an open window that over looked a beautiful flower bed.
Teresa watched as Luthvian walked over to the window and placed her hands upon it's frame. She then sighed and turned away, not wanting to bring up the other option, which she knew Luthvian would absolutely loathe.
"You can hand him over to Saetan," Teresa mumbled.
Luthvian’s back suddenly went stiff as a shiver ran down her spine. She turned towards Teresa who was soon watching her face for any sign of anger, when there was only fear in them, she sighed.
“I’m not going to let that bastard raise my son!” Luthvian shouted, her hands balling up into fists.
“Maybe he can help out a little, get you a better place to live than this,” Teresa said. Luthvian looked around the house and sighed at the sight, knowing Teresa was right.
“He deserves to know about the child. If I talk to him maybe you just wont have to do this on your own.”
Luthvian clutched at her stomach, the fact that she was pregnant barely showing. She knew that Teresa was right and even though she may hate that man he does deserve to see his kid. He wasn’t really a bad guy when she thought about it, on her Virgin Night he showed her a kindness that she hadn’t known of before, but he just reminded her too much of her father, he reminded her of hate and of fear, reminded her of pain.
Biting down on her lip, Luthvian let her hands drop down in bitter defeat.
“All right, talk to him about it, but I doubt he would agree,” Luthvian mumbled.
Teresa gave a sad little smile, running her hands roughly through tangled hair.
“Do you want me to stay?” Teresa asked. When Luthvian shook her head, Teresa, gave her one last hug before leaving the room, going to talk to Saetan and see if he would help.
Luthvian watched her friend go and sighed, walking up to the couch and shoving her fist into the soft leather before lying down with a rough sigh. She just hoped Saetan would help, she couldn’t do this on her own.
