Author's Note - Yes, this story has Mary Sues and is my way of making fun of stereotypical cliches of the fanfic world. But it is NOT aimed at anyone and it has been written for the purpose of fun. If you are offended by this, then sorry, but I ain't changing anything.

Lock kept stumbling through the forest. It had been at least a week since that fateful night he saw Ranga for what she truly was. He had seen many things in his short life and whilst Ranga’s true form wasn’t scary; it had finally hit him that night that she truly was from a different dimension. She looked human enough, but that night he realised she was of a species he never contemplated before. Out of fear he had fled the Holiday Junkyard but he now had no idea where he was. The Hinterlands was large and vague with many symmetrical trees. He was actually lost.

“Damn… if I had levitation powers like Ranga I’d be flying home by now” growled Lock as he kicked a stone. His hair was no longer neatly moulded into his usual horn bangs. It was ragged and his clothes were torn from wandering the forest. He muttered to himself as he marched on “I wonder if Shock and Barrel are alright…”

His ears then heard something. A heavenly enchanting voice was singing nearby. The thought that someone or anyone was out here was enough to make him follow it. Lock came to a forest clearing where she sat calmly and sang.

It was a girl, about the same age as him. She was a little angel girl with feathery black wings. Her hair was glorious and shone like the sunset as it wavered around her like an aurora. Her eyes were deep blue and flecked with silver like the night skies themselves. She was beautiful, the most beautiful creature Lock had ever seen in his world. The petite angel girl was dressed in a skimpy silver dress with millions of rainbow ribbons around her tiny waist. She looked to him with her luminous eyes and said “Hello, my name is Aura Twinkle”

“I’m Lock” the devil felt his senses cloud and give in to Aura’s beauty. He said “I love you”

The tree house was quiet. With Lock missing and Oogie now temporarily frozen deep within his maze, Shock and Barrel had a lot of free time to just relax for once. Shock closed her spell book and asked her half brother “You reckon Lock’s dead?”

“Nah, hasn’t been long enough” lazily replied Barrel as he flicked through the TV channels

“Shouldn’t we be looking for him?”

“Where do we begin looking? Stop worrying, he’ll show up eventually”

“You’re right… for once”

“You reckon Ranga is really gonna explain everything to us about her?”

“Well, she promised us she would”

“But she hasn’t shown up yet”

“I’m sure there are other dimensions for her to visit other than this one”

“True” nodded Barrel. He remembered the small scale adventure he had with Ranga when she actually took them to a different dimension. He suggested “Let’s go look for her, maybe she’s walking around town or something”

“Alright” said Shock as she whistled. Their walking bathtub came galloping forward so they could prepare to leave the tree house.

The Mayor looked to Jack nervously. He had just read the proposal and letters the Pumpkin King had received earlier this morning. The Mayor’s panicked face rotated forward as he said “Are you sure about this?”

“Well, why not?” said Jack with a grin “Aphrodite wants to visit Halloweentown so let’s hold a midnight ball in her honour. It’ll give all the couples in town to actually get closer to one another”

“I don’t know, this seems like a lot of work and we have a schedule to stick to or else we won’t be ready for Halloween!”

“Stop panicking, everything will be fine. I promise you”

The Mayor let out a deep sigh. He nodded “Very well, I’ll start planning the arrangements. They’ll be ready for you to authorise by tonight”

“Wonderful” cheered Jack. The Mayor quickly scuttled off to attend to the necessary documents. Jack smiled to himself as he though of Sally again. He was planning to spend tonight with her and have a romantic dinner. But his mind was brought violently to reality as she waltzed in.

She was a teenaged human with a stunning figure. She had the voluptuous curves of a porn star and the beauty of a goddess. Her fringe was dyed neon violet and the rest of her hair was the colour of copper. It was out and reached to the back of her knees. She was dressed in a skimpy school girl uniform. Her breasts were practically spilling out of her top. She looked to him with her rainbow eyes and said “Excuse me, I lost my way getting home. Can you tell me where I am?”

Something happened to Jack as he too fell under this girl’s enchanting presence. He said “This is Halloweentown and even though you have no apparent connection to any monster here, you can stay here as long as you want”

“Thankyou. My name is Mahita Sunbeam”

“I’m Jack and I love you Mahita” said Jack as he forgot all about Sally.

“Hey isn’t that… it is!” cheered Barrel as he noticed someone nearby. A familiar black haired voodoo doll was sitting on a headstone just staring blankly at the sky. You could tell just by his expression that he was absolutely bored.

“Hey Ted!” called Shock as she steered the bathtub towards him. The cemetery was quite busy this morning with skeletons and corpses tending to their graves. Regardless, being in the public eye never really altered Shock’s behaviour.

Ted lazily sat up to look at them. He folded his arms with annoyance “Well, aren’t you two a sight for sore eyes”

“Is Ranga with you?” asked Barrel

Shock nodded “We need to talk to her”

“She’s in Christmastown practising snowboarding or something” replied Ted

Barrel licked his lollypop and said “Then why are you here?”

“Because I don’t like snow and so, I decided to come here. At least people won’t try to lynch me here and Christmastown is just plain creepy!”

“Okay, we’ll see you later” waved Barrel as Shock made the bathtub gallop off again.

“Weird…” said Ted

Little did he realise someone was watching him nearby. Watching and waiting to move in and attack his heart. Deep down it could sense he loved another. But sorrow, despair and heartbreak was what it fed on.

The trees and rocks blurred past her as she descended down the snowy mountain. Ranga was rugged up in a purple jacket, a pair of goggles covered her eyes as she snowboarded down the mountainside. She swerved and weaved in amongst the trees with utmost skill. She even leapt over a fallen log. ‘Not bad for a first attempt’ she thought proudly to herself.

Ranga went over a snow hill and caught air. She attempted a trick as she grabbed the edge of the board and flipped herself around. She landed safely on the ground having performed the stunt and headed down the snowy path towards Christmastown.

Hell yeah! This is awesome!’ she laughed as she looked back at the mountain she had come from. But as she was distracted she didn’t notice the rock in her path. Ranga tripped on it and was sent flying through the air. She crashed into a mound of snow.

A few moments later, after the shock of the fall had settled, Ranga dug herself out of the icy mound. She heard laughter, two children were cackling hysterically from watching her.

“That was so funny!” exclaimed Barrel as he stood a nearby hill with Shock.

Shock taunted “Nice fall Ranga”

“Well, at least you guys got a laugh outta that” smirked Ranga with her ‘snowboard’ under her arm and headed over to them “Still, that was pretty good for an attempt with no real snowboard”

“Then what did you use?” asked Shock as she noticed her makeshift snowboard. It looked like an ordinary plank of wood.

“Just a piece of wood that wasn’t being used. I mean who puts a random sign up in the middle of nowhere?”

“That is pretty stupid” agreed Barrel

“It wasn’t serving any real purpose so I took it”

“Hey, are you alright though? I mean a fall like that looked pretty painful”

Ranga laughed “Don’t worry Barrel, takes more than that to break my bones. It’s a trait of my species so I wouldn’t recommend you try it”

“Wait a minute” Shock pulled the wood from Ranga’s clutches. The witchling’s eyes widened with horror as she said “Where did you find this sign again?”

Ranga shrugged “Just in some clearing near Christmastown, it was deserted so I took it and to think those weirdos at the ski shop wouldn’t lend me any equipment because I wasn’t a member of their town”

“Why? What does it say?” asked Barrel

Shock revealed the message of the sign. Barrel started laughing wickedly again. Ranga looked confused at the sign and said “What?”

“Can you even read this?” asked Shock

“Nope, I can’t read your language”

“Then how are you speaking to us?”

Ranga laughed as she said “Magic!”

“Well… it actually says, thin ice” informed Shock

“So what?”

The sounds of elves screaming, ice cracking and water splashing echoed nearby. Barrel laughed louder from the echoes.

Shock coldly said “That’s what”

“Oh…” Ranga thought for a moment. She then said “As the eldest here, I have to set an example for you… but as I’m still quite young I believe we must take a less mature option rather than turn myself in”

“Really? What’re you gonna do?”

“RUN AWAY!” Ranga sprinted off. Shock and Barrel quickly followed her through the snowfields.
