Sprx cried miserably. Never had he felt worse. He put his lips to his arm and sucked the wound, tasting the metallic red ooze that came out. He had just recieved a beating from his older brother for being in love with Nova. Sprx wept as he thought about Nova."Somewhere in her heart she must know she loves me too..." he thought miserably. But he had heard it from her. That she didn't love him. There was a knock at the door.

"Sprx, I'm probably someone you don't want to see but...I have to come in there!" Gibson called nervously. Sprx gave out no reply. Gibson took that as an invitation to come in. He walked up to Sprx's basket and put his arm around Sprx's shoulder."Hey," Gibson sighed as Sprx bursted into tears on his brother. He then noticed the wounds all over Sprx's body.

"Mandarin giving you a hard time?" Sprx nodded.

"And Antauri." he added. Gibson was shocked he had just heard this.

"No, not Antauri..." Gibson stammered.

"Yes Antauri. He found out I'd kissed Nova and went for me. But he didn't give me all these wounds. That was Mandarin-" Sprx stopped as he noticed the scratchings on Gibsons body.

"It's okay, it doesn't hurt..." Gibson started. Sprx wanted to know exactly what was going on."He saw me as a threat because...I can't..."

"Gibson tell me."

"No I don't want to make you feel worse."

"What!"

"He saw me as a threat because I stood up for you and I tried to protect you." Gibson forced out. Sprx felt guilty.

"Sorry."

"No it's okay." Gibson assured Sprx.

"Some brother Mandarin is." Sprx mumbled.

"He knows what he wants. And when he wants something, he gets it."

"Not if I can help it!" Sprx got up.

"Sprx where are you going?"

"To get my girl back."

"Sprx are you absolutely out of your cranium? Antauri will kill you."

"Well I don't care. Antauri can't stop me from being in love with his sister! And he acts as if I can help it!" Gibson immediately stood up for his friend.

"Sprx, you have no idea how hard it is for Antauri! If you can have Nova, Mandarin thinks he can. And Antauri doesn't want his little sister falling into the wrong arms!" Sprx felt taken aback. He then walked out of the room."If there is a God up there, please help him..."

Nova sighed as she combed her fur. She watched the sunset from the little window."He'll be over it by the morning." she thought."What's the point? I try to ignore him but he's all I think about!" she moaned to herself. There was a knock at the door."Come in." Nova called to whoever it was behind the door. Sprx walked in. He was suprised at how nervous he felt.

"Nova?" Nova instantly turned to face Sprx.

"Yes?" she asked nervously.

"Well...well..." Sprx couldn't take it any longer."Please Nova! I love you! And this is your life, not Antauri's!"

"How would you know? And what makes you think I love you?"

"C'mon Nova. That kiss." Nova froze.

"Sprx I...I can't."

"What? You're gonna stop loving me just because Antauri wants you to!"

"SPRX! I haven't stopped loving you. I still do. And it doesn't matter how hard I try - I always will." Nova sobbed. She then started to cry."So do you understand? It's because I love you I'm ignoring you."

"But you..." Nova silenced Sprx with a kiss. His first proper kiss. Sprx was confused. Sprx placed his hand on her cheek and wiped away her tears."Now what was that for?"

"I don't know..." Nova cried softly.

"Well, like I said - who can stop us if you love me too." Sprx said suggestively. Nova looked at Sprx. Their eyes locked. The pair then flung their arms around eack other as they kissed romantically. No, not nuzzling. Kissing the way people do. The passion between them grew as they deepened the kiss. Nova wanted to resist so badly. But Sprx's kiss was so amazing. Like ectasy was flowing through her veins. Meanwhile , Mandarin was pacing outside the room. He couldn't think of what to say to her.

"How can I ever make up with her?..." He then faced the door."Well, I've got to try." Determined he opened the door but when he saw what was going on inside, he instantly grew angry. Sprx and Nova were too wrapped up in each other to notice Mandarin. Sprx then suddenly saw some feet. Mandarin was not happy."You..."
