Shopping Trip-Bella’s POV

“Bella, come on! I’m sure Edward will be here when you get back!” I heard Rose yell from Alice’s Porsche. Edward and I were standing on the porch saying our goodbyes to each other.

“I guess I had better head out, babe. I still can’t believe you made me go.” I said as I laid my head on his chest.

“You need this. Alice already promised that she won’t keep you out for more than four hours.” He said as he kissed the top of my head. I turned my head into his chest and took a deep breath. I knew four hours wouldn’t be so bad, but with Alice it would be very long. I heard Alice honk the horn.

“I guess I need to go before she comes and collects me herself.” I said looking up at him and kissed his jaw.

“Remember, my Bella, it’s just four hours. I’ll be waiting here in this spot when you get back.” He leaned down and kissed me. I sighed and pulled away, hugged him and walked down the steps. I got to the car, opened the door, slid in the back. I was about to shut the door when I felt a cold hand on mine, I looked up at him and he closed my door. Before I knew it we were already down the driveway.

“Bella, I can’t believe you guys took so long. You are going to see him in a couple of hours.” Alice complained.

“I can’t help it that you guys want to take me shopping a couple of weeks before the wedding. Besides Edward’s pretty crazy right now with you stealing me all the time.” I replied. “No put on some music, it’s going to be a long four hours.” All of us laughed.

When we got to the mall the first place Alice took us was JC Penny’s.

“OK girls. I normally don’t do this, but we have to find some nice dresses for a special occasion. Bella, you need to look for something dark blue, and please be sure to make it look like you’re eighteen not thirty-eight. Rose, look you something in either the orange, pink or red family. Ok now let’s go.” Alice pulled me to the formal dresses and started to pull out various dresses.

“Alice, what is this special occasion?” I asked her.

“Bella, you’re a few weeks from being a married woman. What usually happens before every normal wedding?” She turned to look at me.

“I don’t know.”

“Bella, you normally have a wedding shower before the wedding. That’s what’s going to happen here.”

I was still confused. “I still don’t get it. Why do you feel the need to buy me a formal dress when I’m only going to wear it once.” Alice didn’t answer me; she had that look she gets when she just had a vision.

“Alice, what did you see?” She shook her head. “Anyways, you’re going to have the best wedding shower ever. Plus you can never have too many dresses. Now please try these three now.” She handed me the dresses of various lengths and pointed me to the dressing rooms.

The first one I tried on was long and had spaghetti straps and had the fake diamonds going down my arm. I stepped out the dressing room, took a breath and showed them.

“That one is pretty.” Rose said and I walked over to the mirror. It did look good on me but it didn’t feel right.

“Go try the other two.” Alice ordered and pushed me back to the dressing room. The next one I tried on was clingy, strapless and was like something Rose would wear.

“Alice.” I called from behind the door.

“Yes?”

“I don’t like this one. I’m going to try on the other one instead.”

“Ok I understand.” I heard disappointment in her voice as she walked away. I peeled that one off and put on the last one.

This one was a halter; it hit at my knees and had a silk blue bow on the stomach. “Alice.” I called to her again, wanting to surprise her.

“You don’t like it?” She asked as she opened the door with disappointment in her voice. When she opened the door, I tackled her into a hug.

“I guess you do like it.” She said without the disappointment in her voice.

“You have no idea. Edward is going to freak out when he sees me in this.” I said walking to the front where Rose was waiting. She stood there speechless.

“You look gorgeous! Edward is going to need a cold shower after he sees you in this. You look amazing!” She finally said. She came over and hugged me.

“Thanks Rose. That means so much coming from you.” I said as I let go of her and walked back to the dressing room to change. We paid for the dresses and went shopping for shoes and anything else Alice wanted. Those four hours passed b really fast once I found that dress. That was probably one of the best times I had shopping, and I couldn’t wait will Edward saw me in my dress.
