Senses
Before
I go,
Allow me my senses-
Just one last time.
Let
my mouth dance
In the sweet salts of their tears
Long since
shed and gone;
Let me see them- as they were,
before innocence
was lost.
So very, very long ago.
Sing
to me your lullaby
Of black and fallen angel gray
Wrap your
blankets
Of silk; ghost-soft iridescence
Cradling me, lulling
me softly
Into my sleep.
But
allow me my senses
This one last time.
