As far as I know, I own this in my DREAMS. And my dreams are not reality so yeah. Not mine.

The lines from the previous chapter were:

He started up his drinking, then they started fighting
He took it pretty badly, she took both the kids

The lines for this chapter are:

She said: "I'm not standing by, to watch you slowly die
So watch me walking, out the door, out the door, out the door"
She said, "Shove it, Jack, I'm walking out the door"
She went to her brother's, got a little bar work

………

James looked around at the empty house. It felt strange without the children and his wife there. She had warned him that she would walk out the door if he would not stop drinking, he had ignored her, the bravado that the booze had given him was enough to think, “Haha, as if.” It just showed that she was serious, now he needed to sober up in order to see her again. He needed to see her again, he needed to be there to watch his children grow up.

But now, cruel reality had set in. They were gone. All he could gather from the letter was that Lily had left for her brother’s house. Her brother Ben, owned a restaurant and a bar that were conjoined to his house. She said she was going there, and if she was, James could assume that she was there to help Ben and his wife Suzie out- Suzie was pregnant.

James sank into the chair. He was all alone. Then there was a knock on the door. James heard the persistent knocking and just refused to move from the chair, he was too miserable to move. Then he heard a very familiar voice ring through the house.

“OI! JAMES! LET ME IN!” he heard Sirius Black yelling.

“Lidia’s gone!”

“What? Not you too?!”

“Shit. At the moment there is no use in living.” James said quietly.

Sirius looked at him and raised an eyebrow. “Come on. Lidia told me about you and Lily. Come on. We can try to get you out of this problem.”

“Yeah mate. But come on, she left me. She doesn’t want to see me again.”

“She does. Just not so drunk.”

“But she left her wedding ring with a note.” James said, sound reminiscent of his childish self.

Sirius shook his head. There had to be something that would convince James to try and get Lily back.

……

Meanwhile, in a small coastal town on the peninsula of Victoria, Lily, the children and Lidia had fled to Lily’s brother’s house.

“What’s the address?” Lidia asked tiredly after the long car trip.

“57 Morningside Drive.”

They drove on to Ben’s door, when they pulled into a little homestead and pub joined together they walked to the front door and knocked three times on the door.

A tallish woman with dirty blonde hair and a baby bump opened the door. “Lily!”

Lily smiled at Suzie, her sister-in-law. “How are you Suzie?” she asked as she embraced the woman.

“Good thanks, hello Rosie, hello Harry!” Suzie said pinching their cheeks. She then turned to Lidia, “Hello, you must be Lidia.”

“Yes I am, lovely to meet you.” Lidia said with one of her dazzling smiles.

“I’ll take you in to see Ben.”

They walked through the small house, Lily with Harry in her arms, and through to the lounge where Ben was sitting on the couch on the phone.

“Ok mate, I’ll catch you later, my sister’s here.”

He walked across the room and hugged Lily tight.

………

The two siblings caught up on the past couple of weeks and then Ben offered Lily and Lidia a job at the pub joined onto the homestead.

“Do you want to, only if you want to, it’s just you might get a bit bored, there isn’t anything here.”

“I know, this place has nothing!” Lidia said a bit too loud, causing Suzie and Ben to look at her apprehensively.

“I don’t mean any offence!” Lidia said with a smile.

AN: I hope you liked the fourth chapter. I really like writing this. It is rather enjoyable! :D
