Disclaimer: I do not own the EEnE or Nightmare on Elm Street franchises. I've had this idea for awhile now and I thought I finally decided to get it going while I continued to brainstorm for my Sailor Moon fic (which doesn't take much since it's actually pretty easy to write for once you get the hang of it). On a quick estimation, I expect this to be at least 10 to 12 chapters. I don't know though, since I haven't really figured out where I'm going to put everything just yet. Just bare with me on that. I guess that's all I'll say for now. Enjoy the fic!

A Nightmare on Peach Creek

Prologue: Dream Sequence

EEnE

It seemed like a peaceful and beautiful day as our brainiac Double D walked into his beloved school Peach Creek High. He smelt the fresh air inside as he gave away to one of the biggest smiles he had ever given off. Yes, he smiled everyday coming into school. But today just seemed like a more extraordinary day than usual.

"Good morning, wonderful school of mine!" he exclaimed as he began walking towards his locker. "Good morning, students!" He began waving at everybody that he passed by. For some reason, their expressions seemed rather bleak today than any other day. He would've questioned this, but his mood of euphoria overwhelmed that. He finally got to his locker, not hesitating to enter in his combination. He opened it, grabbed his books, slammed the locker shut and immediately ran to his first class. He didn't want to be late, not on this wonderful day of school.

The brainiac took a seat in the front row of desks, plopped his books down, and waited for class to begin. He had no clue why he was so happy but he didn't care. Finally, the bell rang and the teacher walked in unusually slower than he did. Then Double D realized that something was wrong. He was the only one in the classroom and the rest of the desks had disappeared. His seat had also shifted to the very middle. Double D's happiness and care freeness had immediately went down the drain.

"Good morning class," the teacher said, turning to his chalkboard to write something.

"Um, Mr. Folds?" Double D asked, raising his hand.

"Quiet please!" Mr. Folds exclaimed. "I'm about to start teaching!"

"But please, I must ask--"

"I said quiet!" the teacher shouted, turning around. Double D felt sick to his stomach as he realized that "Mr. Folds" was nothing but a skeleton in a teacher's suit. The skeleton let out a hellacious laugh as Double D tried to get out of his seat. He couldn't get out, though, as he was literally chained to his seat. He tried as hard as he could to break free, but to no avail.

"Oh, curse my weak muscles!" the hat-wearing Ed said.

"Good morning class!" the skeleton exclaimed once again, as the chalkboard began to open up a portal. "Today, we're going to take a field trip straight to Hell!"

Double D continued to try to break free of the chains' grip to his body.

"That's right, I'm just as excited!" the skeleton exclaimed. "Get some sun lotion and sunglasses ready! It's going to be hot!" Just then, a lever appeared right beside the skeleton, who took a grip to it. "Have fun!" The skeleton let out one final laugh before pulling down on the lever.

"No!!" Double D shouted as the desk shot forward into the portal. The brainiac closed his eyes and prayed he would turn out alive.

Before he knew it, he had hit the ground. The desk broke into pieces and the smart Ed was finally free from its clutches. He slowly got up, not wanting to know where he had ended up. Finally getting the courage to open his eyes, he looked around to see an unusual setting. Everything he saw was in red and it was steaming hot. It was strange, but he had ended up in a boiler room.

"How did I get here?" Double D asked himself. Suddenly, he heard an irritating scraping noise. He grip his ears, holding them tight trying to lower the frequency of the screech. He began running, but immediately hit a dead end. It shocked him, because there wasn't a wall there to begin. He heard a gruesome and vicious laugh as he turned the other direction to run, but again hit a immediate dead end. The laugh got even louder and just as evil as the walls began closing in on the Ed. He jumped out of the way of the colliding walls before they could smash him into nothing.

Double D began to back away, but just as he had expected, he backed into a wall. He turned around and began to rub his hands against the wall, but immediately shot his hands back as the wall was scolding hot.

"Where am I?!" Double D shouted out.

"Eddward," he suddenly heard. He turned around to see a gruesome image that almost made his eye twitch. The image of a tall man, who had a burnt, disfigured face, red and green sweater, brown fedora hat, and metal-clawed brown colored leather gloves, in which he raised to wave at the frightened kid.

"I've finally found you, Eddward," he said, beginning to put his metal-clawed hand on a steel pipe. "Or should I say, 'Double D.'" He let out a brief chuckle as he began to scratch the pipe with his claws, resulting in the screech Double D had heard earlier. He shut his ears once again as the man began to walk towards him.

"For long, I've searched children's dreams," he rasped. "But I've finally managed to find you."

"Who are you?" Double D asked in a shaky, frightened voice.

"I'm your worst nightmare!" The man let out an evil laugh as he drew his claw back and swiped it down towards Double D. He let out a tortured scream...

...and then he woke up. He shot up from his resting place, his heart beating with adrenaline, sweat pouring out from his head. He was breathing heavily and was shaking. He looked around frantically as he got out of bed and went into his bathroom.

Thank goodness that was only a dream, the brainiac thought to himself as he splashed his face with water from the sink. But still, that was the weirdest of... what the?

He finally noticed that his hat had four cuts in them. He took it off and examined them closer. How did those get there? You wouldn't think...

He stood there for a second looking at the hat, but then just threw it down and went back to bed.

No... couldn't be.
