Chapter 1: The Man and He

He sat there drinking his tea, in a restaurant surrounded by couples and families. Chatter and laughter surrounded him, blocking out any other noises. But he wasn’t paying attention to this. No, he was looking out of the window, seeing a man standing in the middle of the sidewalk. Blocking traffic of other pedestrians, causing dirty looks and angry words. He stood there. Just standing in the rain, watching, waiting for something or someone. The man was covered in head to toe in black. His pale skin contrasted with his clothing and black hair. His onyx eyes would pierce any one’s soul.

He watched, tempted to get closer, but scared of the reaction of the man, he decided to let the man be. He continued to drink his tea. Just once and a while glancing at the man. “Sir, is this will be all for you?” He jumped in surprise. He turned to the waitress and smiled. The waitress blushed and turned away.

She was surprise to see a man so beautiful, yet his emerald eyes showed sadness, wariness, depression, he looked like he had a hard life and the way that he looked at her. It made her just wants to jump him and give him a hug. Telling him that it was ok now, and no one or nothing could hurt him. She blushed even more, she never thought about someone like this, ever. It made her worry, not of her thoughts but of this man in front of her.

He nodded, and left money on the table to pay for his drink. The waitress watched him leave. And with a sigh picked up his cup, and put in the bucket for dirty dishes and started to clean the table.

He walked out of the restaurant holding the door for an old couple that smiled at him gratefully. He nodded and walked away down the street in the cold rainy day. The onyx eyed man watched him walking down the street. Following him and stopping at all the corners, trying to be discreet but only getting weird looks instead.

He did not know that he was being followed, or that the person following was the exact same person that he was watching at the restaurant. He continued walking for a block, the man following him. Until, he came up to a brick house. He walked up the stairs, unlocked the door, and walked in.

The man watched all of this, and remembering the location of the house, and promising that he will get the courage to talk to him. Walked away, towards his home.

He smiled at the man clad in black that was walking away. Watching him through the second floor window. Knowing that he would come back, and that he would be here waiting. Waiting for him, and only him. With one last glance at the figure that was walking away, farther, and farther till he could only see the outline of the man.

Sunlight hit his face, and with a groan turned his face away from the window. A man was standing there, watching him.

He opened his emerald eyes and quickly got up looking around his bedroom. A splitting headache hit him, most likely from getting up so fast. “Fuck!” He moved his legs out of bed, pushing the blankets off of him. His feet landed on the cold wooden floor, and he squeaked out in surprise. He reached over to the side table, picking two headache pills and a glass of water. He swallowed both pills and then dranked the glass full of water. He pulled himself up, and walked over to his wardrobe. Picking out an outfit, he quickly changed his undergarments, and put on his clothes he picked.

When he finished, he opened the door and walked down the stairs to the first floor, were he walked into the kitchen. He grabbed a bowel, a spoon, milk, and cereal. Soon he was finished and placed the dirty plates in sink, and walked to the living room. He sat on the couch in a huff. He looked around the room. This room resembled the same room, the same room in which that faithful day cost many arguments and sadness.

He looked up on the wall, he stared at a painting. A painting of himself and of him. He smiled. He had argued with him, and finally he was able to get him to stay still enough for them to be painted. That day was the breaking point of their relationship, and the first day of his life that he felt true happiness.

He turned and in the corner of his eye he saw a figure in the mirror. He turned to the direction of the man. He wasn’t there. He frowned at himself, he was thinking about depressing stuff, which caused him to see things. To see him, in his house. He picked up the remote and turned on the TV hopefully this would distract him to get all the memories out of his head.

He woke up in a start, he heard something falling. Looking up at the picture of himself and him. He did not see it; in surprise he looked on the floor and saw the painting lying on the floor faced down, glass all over the floor. He walked over to the painting careful not to step on glass. He turned over the painting and with a gasp dropped the painting unto the floor. The man was bleeding, blood flowing down his mouth down to his pianist fingers.

He pulled himself up, and walked

over to his wardrobe. Picking out an outfit, he quickly changed his undergarments, and put on his clothes he picked.

Then it hit him. De ja Vou

He ran down the stairs, nearly tripping over his own feet, and into the living room. He sat down on the couch in relief. Nothing happen, everything was normal. It was all a dream there was no man in his house, he was imagining things. Everything was fine. He turned once more at the painting, and seeing no changes. He got up from the couch, and walked to the kitchen. His stomach was growling for food.

He went into the kitchen and grabbed a bowel, spoon, milk, and cereal. He decided to eat in the living room. He placed his cereal on the table and went over to his stereo. He turned on the radio, and one of his favorite songs was playing. He started to sing.

(1)I open my eyes
I try to see but I’m blinded by the white light
I can’t remember how
I can’t remember why
I’m lying here tonight

And I can’t stand the pain
And I can’t make it go away
No I can’t stand the pain

How could this happen to me
I made my mistakes
I’ve got no where to run
The night goes on
As I’m fading away
I’m sick of this life
I just wanna scream
How could this happen to me

Everybody’s screaming
I try to make a sound but no one hears me
I’m slipping off the edge
I’m hanging by a thread
I wanna start this over again

So I try to hold onto a time when nothing mattered
And I can’t explain what happened

And I can’t erase the things that I’ve done
No I can’t

How could this happen to me
I made my mistakes
I’ve got no where to run
The night goes on
As I’m fading away
I’m sick of this life
I just wanna scream
How could this happen to me

I made my mistakes
I’ve got no where to run
The night goes on
As I’m fading away
I’m sick of this life
I just wanna scream
How could this happen to me

A knock was heard. He turned down the volume and walked toward the door. A new song started to play

(2)And I'd give up forever to touch you
Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now

He opened the door, and saw no one. He looked around outside on the street and saw no one. He went back in and locked the door. Thinking it must have been some teenager doing a prank. He walked back to his stereo and turned up the volume. He walked over to the couch and sat down again.

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
Cause sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight

He heard a knock on the door, with a huff he turned down the volume again, and walked to the door. He was ready to yell at the teenagers. Once again he saw no one. He looked around,no one. He went out the door to see if he could find the pranksters. But he noticed that he stepped on something.

And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

He lifted up his foot to see what he stepped on. It was a big white teddy bear. It was holding a rose. Attached to his other arm was a note. He picked up the teddy bear, curious and read the note. “Peek-a-boo I see you”. He walked back in the house, still holding the teddy bear and slammed the door in frustration.

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything seems like the movies
Yeah you bleed just to know your alive

He heard another knock on the door. He walked over to the door once more. Tired of this game that someone was doing to him. He opened the door. “Ok, whoever is doing this stop or I’ll call the….” he stopped in mid rant. Before him was a man. Not any man but him. The man that he was thinking about for all these years.

And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

“Hello Harry.” He, Harry, looked at the man in shock. “I’m not going to get a greeting? So I guess you haven’t changed all these years. You’re still a snot nose brat who always gets what he……”

I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

Harry tackled him before he could finish his sentence, “Hello Severus.”

I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am

“What took you so long?”

A/N:

This fic. was a spur of the moment, so please be nice. Yes I know there are spelling errors, please tell me so I can correct them later. I hope you like this story. It’s my little baby, and I’m super proud how it ended. It’s going to be a one-shot, because I cannot continue on, and if I do I’ll most likely mess up the sequel. So hope ya like!
