Prologue:
It has now been 19 years since the horrific incident on Isla Nublar, and 13 since the events on Isla Sorna. 19 years since the dream of childish billionaire John Hammond went awry, resulting in the loss of several people, himself included. He had wanted one thing: to have real, living dinosaurs. Hammond had found a way for this dream to become reality, what he hadn't considered, though, was the power of nature to release its fury in the form of these scaly, prehistoric beasts. During that 19 year span, the few survivors of these catastrophic events have sworn themselves to secrecy.
Alan Grant continues to go to digs all throughout the world. Ellie Sattler has been a stay-home mom since marrying her husband. Ian Malcolm and Sarah Harding have since been married and have a 10-year-old daughter, Lauren. Tim and Lex Murphy have gone on to lead very normal lives after both completing college, both with a paleontology major. Robert Muldoon now lives Kenya, as a zoo keeper. Richard Levine has been in therapy for a very long time and has been living as a recluse. Kelly Curtis and Arby Benton went their separate ways, Kelly to become a housewife and Arby to become a lead programmer for Apple Inc. Doc Thorne passed away 2 years after leaving Isla Sorna.
Also during that 19 year span, InGen has been reinventing itself. The second-in-command to John Hammond, Jacob Hubbard, had been trying to get InGen back on its feet by finding a new owner. Hubbard had asked Tim Murphy, the grandson of John Hammond, to be their new CEO, but he declined, saying, “Dinosaurs may be a wonder to children and child-like adults, but when you see them for what they really are, the wonder is replaced with fear, and you never see them the same way again.”
Hubbard, being ever diligent, searched for any other relatives of John Hammond. He had tried asking Lex, to no avail. Hubbard had even go so far as to ask Alan Grant himself, yet getting a similar answer as he had got from Tim.
Now, out of hope, Hubbard had decided to hold a little “contest”, and whoever won would become the new CEO of InGen. Only a year after the party had come back from Sorna, he already knew what the contest was going to be, and who would be interested.
Well, whadda ya think? I've decided to drop the animorphs story I was doing, and now im trying my own version JP3, based on the books, NOT the movies. PLZ R&R!!
