Nightmares

I looked around the dark empty room. Where was I? and then it came out into the kitchen, I was suddenly there mixing bowl of chocolate mixing and two arms wrap around my waist. I chuckle knowing its Sesshomaru, my eyes widen in surprise as he flings me to the floor and back hands me. "Filthy human wretch. Did you really think you meant anything to me? No. That you were precious to me? HA. Your just a weak pathetic human." with that he turned and left. I felt as though he had literally stabbed me in the stomach twisting it around and then just left leaving a big empty hole. I watched his retreating back and then called out to him, he didn't even turn around I got up to chase him but he just got farther and farther away from me until i was alone. Then everything disappeared and I was free falling falling apart, slowly i felt tears run the side of my cheeks. I was alone. He had left me.

I gasped loudly and shot up, I turned around frantically looking for him,"Sesshomaru?" I called out desperately. Everything was blurry but but it begun to clear up,I was suddenly held securely by a warm chest. "Rin..." I hugged and held on to him desperately, that dream had been my worst nightmare...and fear. I still felt the tears run down my cheek and the knot in my stomach still twisted cruelly. And then he said in a soothing voice,"It's all right. I'm here Rin."

The knot loosened but it was still there and then I said in a quiet voice",You left...you left..." my voice went to a whisper. "You left because i was a human." I felt myself trembling in fear.

His grip on me became tighter, and then I felt his breath upon my shoulder. And then felt fangs dig into my skin, I gave a small cry, and all my worries ceased and the knot in my stomach loosened and then was gone. My body was filled instead with peace. He withdrew his fangs from my skin and watched the little crescent mark heal itself. He picked me up and placed me on his lap, he kissed my neck and then cheek, and then lips softly. He picked up my hand to show the gold marriage ring, and then twined my fingers with his. "Do you still doubt my love for you Rin? Even though we are married and I have marked you as my life mate?" his voice remained steady. I felt guilt prickle in my stomach.

"It's just..that nightmare, chose my worst fear, and made it so real and vivid." It was true, he'd shown me through his actions how much he loved me. He defied the unwritten laws that he had made for himself and came to love a human. He had ignored all the rumors of him becoming weak and then proved them wrong over and over again. And he had punished all those who had tried to taint my name severely. And now I was with pregnant with his pup.

I was a fool to think that he would leave me. I looked up at him and placed my hand on his cheek, and kissed him. "Then," he said to me as he pressed me to the bed,"I will love you over and over again until there is no doubt in your mind that you are loved." he said. I hugged him and said,"I love you Sesshomaru, I'm so-" he cut me off as he kissed me. "And I love you." I wrapped my arms around him and rested my head in the crook of his neck. His hand wrapped around me and he held me to him gently. Slowly, i fell into a blissful sleep, my nightmares crushed for good.
