Author's note: So, I just really needed to get some of my Draco smut out my system. I know a lot of people aren't supporters of Dramione, but I honestly don't care. I'm pretty proud of this one. It's very short, but oh well; I wrote it in like ten minutes. So basically, it takes place at the end of HBP, during the battle. Draco and Hermione are hiding together, promising each other they will always love one another. I may continue this, but for now it's just a random one-shot.

READ and REVIEW!!

“I’m not leaving you.” Hermione’s voice trembled as she clutched to his black and green uniform. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close, pressing his lips to her bushy hair. He closed his eyes, blocking out the sound of the raging battle that was happening behind them.

“Please, Hermione,” he whimpered. “I’ve put you through too much already.” He pulled her away slightly to look into her brown eyes. “You and I can never be, don’t you see that?”

She shook her head violently. “No,” she almost screamed. “All I see is you.” Tears poured out of her eyes, staining his cloak with its salty liquid. He sighed, and tightened his hold on her. He couldn’t stand this. Six years of trying to prove his affection for the beautiful muggle-born; one year of having to hide from her because of this, and the knowledge that he would never forgive himself for putting her through this even though it was to save her. He would never forget how she had curled in his arms. How she would kiss his lips softly. How she would almost smile whenever he was around. He sniffed back his tears. He had to be strong. For her.

“I will always love you, Hermione.” He kissed her softly. “And once this god damned war is over, I will prove that to you. I’ll give you the life you deserve.” He hesitated, stroking his fingers lightly across her blushed cheek. “But in order for me to do my part, you must do yours.”

“What’s that?” she whimpered.

He took her face between his palms and kissed her passionately. She wrapped her arms around his neck, tangling her fingers in his silver hair, as their lips moved fervently against each other. After another breathless moment of their embrace, he broke away slightly. “Be safe,” he breathed, his lips moving temptingly against hers. Hermione’s head was spinning, and she just looked at him dazed. He smirked and kissed her forehead. “Promise me?”

“If you keep yours.”

“I promise.”

“Then so do I.” He smiled and touched his lips to hers one last time. He broke away and ran toward the man who had finished what he had spent a year preparing to do. The one thing that had kept him from his beloved Hermione. They ran out the doors of Hogwarts, racing across the field toward the exit gates. Snape looked over at him worriedly, making sure he didn’t fall behind.

When they finally reached the outer territory, he cast one final, longing glance at the castle, imagining his love standing there, trying desperately to get one last look at him. He sighed painfully then looked over at Snape and nodded as they disapparated together.
