Chapter 1 - Tsunade is surprised

Tsunade lived at the end of the main road which led into Konoha. Most people of Konoha would think this a bad place to live, traffic etc. But Tsunade thought differently. Tsunade is one of those multi-tasking ladies who can nose into everyone’s life and manage her own. She was the leader of the village, principal of the small Konoha junior and senior School, a capable housewife and yet she still had time to sit on her front step and see who went in and out of their country town village. Since Konoha was quite small (in this story it is) anyone who came in or out had to go along the main road, much to Tsunade’s delight. Most people in Konoha believed Tsunade to be a kind lady whose only downside was that she thought she was in her twenties when she was actually 50, but none of them realised that she had a coughslightcough addiction to Sake and gambling.

Well, back to the story, Tsunade was calmly reclining on her front step and sipping a small cup of Sake, watching the world go by. Jiraiya, a coughmeekcough man was ‘researching’ in the backyard; he was what people called ‘Tsunade’s husband’ or a ‘frog hermit’. What people didn’t know was that he was hiding something; he was a pervert, which was probably why he married the busty Tsunade. But he was not just an ordinary one; he was a full blown mega-pervert! His research consisted of binoculars and a convenient hole in the fence…need I say more? No one knew that he was the man who wrote the infamous ‘Icha Icha Paradise’…

Anyway, Tsunade was sipping Sake and Jiraiya was ‘researching’. As Tsunade poured herself another glass of her beloved drink she saw a very strange sight. Hatake Kakashi was driving down the main road, and he was wearing a suit!!

(How she saw that he was wearing a suit? Who knows?)

Tsunade for the sad, messed up life of her couldn’t understand why he was there. Kakashi was a lazy ass, always late and was terribly shy of meeting new people, especially women. The reason? He was born that way I guess, but he was probably shy from women because his favorite book is ‘Icha Icha Paradise’. He had unholy thoughts of them, which inclined him to blush…a lot.

Tsunade couldn’t understand why or where he was going; she decided she had to find out as her afternoon was spoiled by this lack of knowledge.

“I know, I’ll step over to Kurenai’s house, she’ll know what’s going on,’ Tsunade sighed, quite put out, “and I’m sure Kurenai has one of her home made Sake lying around”.

Tsunade then hurried off to Kurenai’s house to enquire as to where Kakashi was going. As Tsunade walked to the small isolated house she continued to ponder about Kakashi’s journey, “hm, he definitely isn’t going on a date, too old and that perverted book he always reads gets rid of all of his temptations.”

Tsunade quickly glanced at what she was wearing before entering, last time she came she forgot to change from her bathrobe, gee, there was a lot of nose bleeds. She wore a small denim miniskirt, high heel boots and a black tank top. (Told you she thought she was twenty) Tsunade then reached for the door handle and scurried into the small house.

“Hello Tsunade, what brings you to this part of Konoha?” greeted Kurenai good naturedly.

Kurenai and Tsunade were quite good friends in spite of their…differences. Kurenai was a tall, curvaceous woman with dark hair and red eyes. She was considered quite a beauty in her day, which had long pasted. She now was more of a cranky looking woman but if you look carefully at her mouth, you ever so often saw a slight smile and if you looked at her eyes you ever so often saw a sparkle.

“Oh, Kurenai, I’m so-o glad you are ok, I was worried you see, I saw Kakashi driving real fast and I thought he may be getting a doctor.”

Kurenai smiled, “Oh no, he is just picking up an orphan boy from the hidden village of the Mist.”

Tsunade nearly fainted, “WHAT DID YOU SAY? I think I need to be revived, do you by any chance have a bottle of homemade sake?”

Kurenai smirked and went to ‘revive’ the poor, shocked and busty blonde.

“Why would you ever adopt an orphan boy and from the Mist how shocking!” Tsunade shook her head in disapproval.

“Well Kakashi and I have been thinking about it for a while, were getting old you know, we asked Momochi Zabuza to get us a boy, you see he was going to the Mist anyway to get himself an orphan boy.” Kurenai explained.

Tsunade prided herself on speaking her mind, and as usual she spoke it now.

“Well Kurenai, what you are doing is very risky, from the Mist, my god, you idiot, just the other day I heard that an orphan girl, from Konoha mind you, poisoned the families Sake!” Tsunade yelled, ruining perfectly good Sake was the worst crime in Tsunade’s books, “Can you imagine what a child from the Mist will do?”

Kurenai sighed, “Well we aren’t getting a girl.”

Tsunade then grabbed the bottle of Sake Kurenai had just found and quickly left the house with the hurried words of, “Sorry Kurenai, I couldn’t talk sense into you, you should of asked of my advice before rushing into this desicion.”

As Tsunade walked home she thought about the Hatakes’ decision, “I feel sorry for that young boy; Kurenai and Kakashi can’t raise a child to save their lives, those temes!”
