Hmmm... I'm gonna hafta call this a warm up fic; just a little something to get the hang of writing properly for the first time in... a year? before attempting something serious. So, most likely... this'll be shit... Oh well! Enjoy?
Standard Disclaimer Applies (to both the Twilight series and the song Velveteen)
Feel you in my hunger
You're haunting my ambition
Beautifully destructive attraction
It was a cruel twist of fate from the beginning that he blamed primarily upon her proclaimed "danger magnetism". The others always told him that it was a blessing. If not for her arriving here, he would be alone.
Lonliness be damned.
Like her soul.
Her safety was more important to him then anything else. Much more important. When she came here - when she moved to this hell hole of supernatural creatures - her life just seemed to never stop being in danger.
And now... now... she was laying there, writhing upon his bed.
Soft insanity
And I can't make it stop
Live hallucination within a dream
It didn't quite seem real. How would they let him do this to her? How could they let him turn her into a monster.
Every scream, every thrash made him sink further into his delusional state. He could never do this to her. Never. Agony ripped through her vocal cords, tearing through the air as it escaped from her throat. Cringing away, he shook his head. No, this was a dream. An impossible dream he was incapable of.
Or...
He had died, that must've been it, he realized. He had finally died, and been damned to Hell, just as he told her he would. Just like she wouldn't be, since she was still a pure mortal.
Magic
This is the great love
Yet, she awoke. Crimson orbs stared at him, torn between agony and relief. He was there, waiting for her and now... Now they could be together. Forever.
For what seemed like an eternity, he sat there upon the edge of the bed. His world seemed to be turned upside down. Hell was being forgiving, it seemed, letting her live outside of the world of pain she had been absorbed in for so long, too long.
"You're... a vampire"
She giggled, nodding at him. There were cracks she had to repair soon, before he shattered, but those could be fixed. There was nothing to worry about.
At least, that's what she told herself.
"Yeah, I am"
