Chapter 9: So it’s a date

“Umm…” Kevin started. “Well I guess if I were a witch and demons existed…”

“What you don’t believe in demons?” Serena asked. “You said you believed in magic, why not demons?”

“Umm well yeah I believe in magic, but I mean umm I don’t know” Kevin rambled.

“What would you do?” Nick asked looking at Serena.

“Me? I would kill the demon before he gets the chance to kill me…” She said.

“I agree with you…” Joe said. “I would defiantly do that!” Still holding in laughter because of Kevin.

“Yeah, me too…” Kevin said, blushing a little.

Serena smiled. “Well I’d better get going…” she said.

“Wait I’ll drive you home…” Kevin said.

“It’s okay, I like walking…” she said smiling.

“Okay…” Kevin said. “Wanna meet me tomorrow?” he asked.

“Sure, here’s my number, call me tomorrow…” Serena said writing down her number, smiling.

“Okay, thanks, see you then…” Kevin said closing the door as she left.

Joe exploded out laughing. “You should’ve seen the look on your face when she asked you!” he said.

“Ha ha, rely funny Joe…” Kevin said blushing again.

“You have to admit though, you were funny…” Nick said smiling.

“Fine, you can tease me! But I like her, she’s nice…” Kevin said.

“Okay…” Nick said smiling. “But you’re never going to guess what Joe was doing today…”

“What? Did he tell you?” Kevin asked.

“No, I saw it on the news…” Nick said. “He went to a self-defense class for four hours and then swimming, there were pictures of him going in and out of the defense class…”

“But they didn’t know I went swimming, I told him that…” Joe cut in.

Kevin laughed. “Cool, does that mean I don’t have to worry about you being attacked?” he asked.

“Yes and it also means I can kick your ass, you can’t use your power on me! Hah!” Joe said.

“Maybe I can’t use them on you directly but I can always just through something at you…” Kevin said.

“Huh! That’s cheating!” Joe said.

Nick’s phone started to ring. “Can you guys be quiet for a sec?” he asked before answering.

“Hello” Nick said.

“Hi Nick, it’s Miley…” she said.

“Oh hey miley, what’s up?” Nick asked.

“Oh not much, I was just wondering if you wanted to meet me tomorrow…” Miley said.

“Yeah sure, meet at the park?” Nick asked.

“Cool, it’s a date…” Miley said.

“Yeah…” Nick said. “See you tomorrow then…”

“Cool, bye…” Miley said.

“Bye…” Nick said and hangs up.

“What did miley want?” Joe asked.

“To meet me tomorrow…” Nick answered.

“Then you two both got dates and I’m all alone here tomorrow?” Joe said.

“Yep, unless you got a date we don’t know about…” Nick said.

“No I don’t…” as he said it his phone rang. “Hello…” he answered.

“Hi Joe it’s Demi…” Demi said.

“Oh hey, sorry about yesterday…” Joe said.

“That’s why I was calling, are you okay?” she asked.

“Yeah I’m fine, hey do you wanna hang tomorrow? Nick and Kevin both have dates…” Joe asked.

“Umm yeah sure, where should we meet?” Demi asked.

“Umm, at the Tivoli?” Joe asked.

“Sure, I’m up to it…” Demi said.

“Okay, it’s a date!” Joe said.

“Yep, sure is…” Demi said. “See you tomorrow…”

“Yeah bye…” Joe said hanging up.

“Hah, I got a date too!” Joe said.

“With whom?” Nick asked.

“Demi, we’re going to the Tivoli…” Joe said.

“We guessed that…” Kevin said.

The next day.

Kevin woke up and went down stairs. “Good morning…” he said to Nick who was reading the book of shadows in the kitchen.

“Good morning…” Nick said. “Joe’s not up jet…”

“Yeah, I’m not surprised…” Kevin said.

Then suddenly Joe walked inside the backdoor. “Oh hey guys…” he said.

“Joe? Wow I thought you were asleep…” Nick said.

“Asleep, no I woke up at 7 and went to a defense class at 8 and it was done at 10:30 and now I’m home…” Joe said. “I’m going to take a shower see you in a bit…” he said walking out of the kitchen.

Kevin stared after him. “Did he just say he woke up at 7?” he asked looking at Nick.

“Yes he did…” Nick said. “But when are you going to call Serena to decide where you’re going to meet?” he asked.

“I don’t know, soon…” Kevin said.

“Do you know where you are going to meet?” Nick asked.

“Well I was thinking the beach or something like that…” Kevin said.

“Cool, I and Miley are going to the park…” Nick said. “And I think Joe’s going to the Tivoli with Demi…”

“Yeah, I’m going to call Serena, I hope she’s not asleep or something…” Kevin said picking up his phone.

“Hello…” Serena answered.

“Hi, it’s Kevin…” Kevin said.

“Oh hi Kevin…” she said. “Hey I was thinking maybe we could meet at the beach…”

“Wow that’s funny…” Kevin said. “I was thinking the same thing…”

“Cool, see you there around 12?” Serena asked.

“Sure, that would be great…” Kevin said.

“Great, then it’s a date…” Serena said.

“Yeah, see you later…” Kevin said smiling.

“Yeah, see ya…” Serena said and then hung up.

“And it’s a date…” Kevin said smiling.

“Are you meeting her at the beach?” Nick asked smiling.

“Yep, I don’t know after that though…” Kevin said.

“Why won’t you just take with you a blanket or something and you can have a picnic on the beach…” Joe said walking into the kitchen again.

“Yeah, thanks for the idea Joe, how was the defense class?” Kevin asked.

“It was okay, but I can’t wait to go to the Tivoli and have some fun with Demi.” Joe said.

“So can you show us some moves?” Nick asked.

“Nah, you’ll just have to wait until the next demon or a warlock attacks…” Joe said.

“Well I’m going to go and get ready…” Kevin said. “See you guys later…”

At the beach.

Kevin was sitting there at the same rock as when they first met.

“Hey…” Serena said from behind him.

“Hey…” Kevin said turning around. “I didn’t hear you coming…” he said smiling.

“Yeah, so what were you thinking we could do now?” Serena asked.

“Maybe just a walk on the beach to start with…” Kevin said smiling.

“Cool, I would love to…” Serena said smiling.

At the park.

“Hey Nick!” Miley said cheerfully walking to him.

“Hey Miley…” Nick said. “So what are we going to do?”

“Well I was thinking maybe we could go bowling…” Miley said smiling.

“Yeah, that sounds good…” Nick said smiling.

“Okay, let’s go…” Miley said smiling.

At the Tivoli.

“Hi Demi!” Joe said running to her.

“Hi Joe” Demi said smiling. “How are you?”

“I’m great…” Joe said. “How about you?”

“I’m good, but you freaked me out a little last time I met you…” Demi said smiling.

“Yeah, sorry about that…” Joe said. “I just suddenly got the feeling that Nick was in trouble…” Joe said.

“Oh is he okay?” Demi asked.

“Yeah he’s fine…” Joe said and smiled. “Wanna go in some rides?” he asked.

“Yeah sure, but did you say Kevin and Nick were on a date too?” Demi asked.

“Yeah, Nick’s on a date with Miley and Kevin is with Serena…” Joe said.

“Okay, who’s Serena?” Demi asked.

“A girl Kevin met yesterday…” Joe said. “She’s okay, she had pizza with us…”

“Okay…” Demi said smiling. “Now let’s go in some rides!” she said.

“Now you’re talking!” Joe said and they ran inside the Tivoli.

At the beach.

“So what school are you in?” Kevin asked.

“I’m not in a school, I was homeschooled…” Serena said smiling.

“Rely? Wow… why?” he asked.

“My parent’s just thought it would be best…” Serena said. “I never went to a public school…”

“I went to a public school when I was younger, but when we started as a band my mom and dad decided we should be homeschooled…” Kevin said.

“Yeah, so where are we going?” Serena asked.

“You’ll see…” Kevin said smiling.

Bowling.

“Yes a strike!” Nick said.

“High Five!” Miley said.

“Your turn…” Nick said.

Miley took the ball and rolled it and… “Strike!” she yelled.

“Good one!” Nick said.

Suddenly Miley froze…

“Miley are you okay?” Nick asked. “Wow did I freeze the room accidently?” he thought but when he looked around nothing else was frozen but then she unfroze.

“Umm, what happened?” she asked.

“I don’t know, it was like you froze or something…” Nick said.

“Oh umm, well I’m fine so…” Miley said as her phone started to ring. “Hello” she answered.

“That was weird…” Nick thought.

“Okay, bye” Miley said and hung up the phone. “Umm Nick I have to go…” she said.

“Oh okay, see you later then?” Nick asked.

“Yeah, I’ll call you…” Miley said kissing him on the cheek. “Bye”

“Bye miley…” Nick said.

At the Tivoli.

“Wow that was awesome!” Joe said.

“Yeah, but I’ll bet that one’s better…” Demi said pointing at the largest rollercoaster in the Tivoli.

“Okay, let’s go then…” Joe said smiling and they ran to the rollercoaster and in to the line.

“Joe? Is that you?” A girl who came after them asked.

Joe turned around. “Camilla?” he asked.

“Yes, wow I haven’t seen you in ages, except on the TV or in magazines…” Camilla said. “How are you?”

“I’m fine…” He said. “How are you?”

“I’m good, what about Kevin and Nick?” Camilla asked.

“They’re good…” Joe said. “Wow I haven’t met her since, since I last spent some time over at grandpa’s house before he died…” he thought.

“How about grandpa? I miss him a little…” Camilla said.

“Umm he died cuple days ago…” Joe said.

“Oh I’m sorry…” Camilla said.

“It’s okay, I didn’t know him anymore…” Joe said.

“Well we’re not going in this one jet so see you later…” Camilla said.

“Yeah, bye…” Joe said as Camilla walked away with her friends.

“Who was that?” Demi asked.

“That was Camilla, she was my best friend in my grandpa’s neighborhood, and we used to meet when I was visiting him…” Joe said.

“Okay, well it’s our turn…” Demi said smiling.

“Cool!” Joe said as they got in the rollercoaster.

Later at home.

The doorbell rings.

Nick goes to the door. “Hey dad, what are you doing here?” Nick asked.

“Frankie wanted to meet you…” his dad said. “Where are Joe and Kevin?”

“Oh they’re both still on their date…” Nick said.

“Okay, with whom?” his dad asked.

“Joe’s with Demi and Kevin is with Serena, which you don’t know…” Nick said. “Kevin met her at the beach yesterday…”

“Okay…” his dad said. “Hey I got to go, can you watch Frankie while I’m gone?”

“Yeah sure no problem…” Nick said. “Where is he?” he asked looking around.

As he said it Frankie jumped out of a bush and right on him. “Nick!”

“Hey Frankie…” Nick said.

Their dad smiled. “Okay I have to go, see you later…” he said and left.

“So Frank the tank, what do you wanna do?” Nick asked.

“What’s this?” Frankie asked pointing at the Book of Shadows.

“This? It’s umm...” Nick started.

“Now close your eyes…” Kevin said.

“Okay…” Serena said closing her eyes.

Kevin took her hand and guided her forward.

“Okay, now open…” Kevin said.

Serena opened her eyes and looked at a little picnic spot. “Wow this is pretty…” she said smiling.

Kevin sits down and opens a basket with chicken and juice in it.

“Wow, how did you get it so quickly? I mean you had like an hour…” Serena asked.

“Well like I said I was thinking the same thing…” Kevin said smiling.

“Umm… this is this is…” Nick was trying to find away to explane the book when…

“I’m home!” Joe said walking in.

“Joe!” Frankie yelled and ran to him and hugged him.

“Hey Frank the Tank…” Joe said. “What are you doing here?”

Nick quickly hid the book hopping that Frankie would forget it.

“Dad drove me here, he had to go to work…” Frankie said smiling.

“Yeah, he’s going to stay with us for few hours…” Nick said. “So Joe how was your date?”

“Awesome! And you’ll never believe who I met!” Joe said.

“Who?” Nick asked.

“Camilla! The one I used to play with when we were with grandpa, do you remember her?” Joe asked.

“Of cores I do, how can I forget? You two were always playing tricks on me and Kevin…” Nick said.

“Well yeah, but I met her at the Tivoli…”Joe said. “But how was your date with Miley?”

“It was good until she suddenly just had to go…” Nick said.

“Why? Did something happen?” Joe asked.

“I’m not sure…” Nick said, looking at Frankie “But she got a call and just told me that she had to go and she’d talk to me later…”

“Okay…” Joe said. “So what do you wanna do Frankie? Play hide and seek? This is a big house…”

“Yeah! I’ll hide first!” Frankie yelled and ran somewhere.

“I’ll count first...” Joe said. “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7…….”

Nick ran into another direction then Frankie.

“100! Ready or not here I come!” Joe yelled a little later.

“You playing hide and seek?” Kevin asked standing behind me and Serena was there too.

“Umm, well yeah, Frankie’s here…” Joe said smiling.

“Oh I see… I thought you and Nick were rely board or something…” Kevin said.

“Well I’m gonna go find them, see you around…” Joe said walking away.

“So then you get to meet Frankie when Joe finds him, which could take a while…” Kevin said.

“Why is he so good in hide and seek?” Serena asked.

“Well he’s good, but Joe isn’t…” Kevin said smiling. “Well he can be good at hiding but it takes forever for him to find everyone…”

Serena laughs. “I see…” she said. “Who’s this?” she suddenly asked pointing at a picture of his grandpa and his dad.

“That’s my dad and that’s my grandpa…”Kevin said smiling.

“I umm… I have to go…” Serena said walking towards the door.

“Wait! Why?” Kevin asked.

“I’m sorry…” Serena said. “I just have to go now, I’ll call you…” she walked out the door.

“See you later…” Kevin said after her.

“I can’t find Frankie anywhere! Is everything okay?” Joe asked.

“Yeah, I hope so…” Kevin said. “I’ll help you look…”

“Thanks…” Joe said smiling.

“Okay now we can just sit on the couch and relax a bit…” Kevin said as he and Joe had found Nick and Frankie.

Suddenly the door burst’s open!

Kevin turns around to see a demon walking in the house. “Joe get Frankie out of here!” he yelled.

Joe got up and took Frankie up but the demon sent him flying to a wall.

“Joe!" Kevin yelled. "Nick can you freeze it?” he asked.

“No! it’s not working!” Nick said as the demon threw him into a wall too.

“Nick!” Kevin yelled.

“You can’t destroy me!” The demon yelled and threw Kevin into a wall to.

Joe opened his eyes and saw the demon walk towards Frankie. “No!” he tried to yell.

The demon looked at him. “Now you’ll know what it’s like to lose a brother…” and then shoot an energy ball right at Frankie.

“No!” they all three yelled unable to do anything, they watched as the energy ball went right to Frankie who had a terrified look on his face...

Wow I finally finished it! So what’s going to happen? Is Frankie dead? Well you’ll have to wait because I’m going to be babysitting my nices for two weeks and I don’t know if I can update much… I would have to say that maybe you’ll have to wait until august 11… But I don’t know… sorry about that… But if you review I'll try and put a new chapter in as soon as I can...
