Wildfire’s journal

It’s been months since I started this war. I still can’t sleep, she haunts my dreams. I can never forgive myself for letting her die. I never did tell her I loved her, if only I could see her one more time…

Wildfire was heading back to Wawnet Inn to rest. He was sharpening he knife with his claws when he herd it. “I’ve finally found you”. he dropped the knife and it cut into his leg, but he was to shocked to even notice. He turned around to face a young woman. “oh, your leg”. not even looking he pulled the knife out still too shocked to say anything. Shade would never forget his face. Then she saw something she thought she would never see, under his eye she noticed a tear. In training Shade has seen wildfire take arrows, mace hits and sword cuts that would kill a normal human. He even jumped in the way of an explosive spell aimed at her and not once did his eye’s water.

“Are you OK” shade asked. He was still in shock. Sighing she walked up to wildfire and slapped him. Her nails cut his cheek . That woke him up. “I thought you were dead!” he said still recovering. “I’m fine trust me. We have a lot of catching-up to do. I have a house in Skingrad”

(as they traveled from the imperial bridge to Skingrad they talked about what they hade been doing. Wildfire finally decided to tell her about his war…)

(on some small road)

“shade have you herd anything about the company that trained us?” wildfire asked. “I’ve herd that their have been raids against their outpost all over the empire” shade replied. “wait…are you telling me that you…” wildfire cut in, “I will never forgive them for what happened” he waited for her to start yelling at him but it never came, instead she said something that he thought she’d never say. “I understand. ”. it was quiet as the two thought about what they just said. Just then three highway men ran out of hiding. “you money or your li-. Before he could finish wildfire drew his gun and fired three shots into his chest. The other two ran away, but shade’s throwing knifes had other plans. She was shocked when she examined the first bandit. “wildfire, his heart is split in two!”. all he could say is “ why do you think I call my gun ‘the heartbreaker‘?

(Finally at rosethorn hall)

Wildfire was shocked at how nice her house was. "Make yourself at home" shade said. As they relaxed on the balcony wildfire felt tired for the first time in months. “wildfire, we should get some rest for tomorrow….wildfire?”. he was fast asleep. “some things never change” shade said to herself as she got ready for bed.
