A/N: just some random idea I had after playing this game with my friends, its great fun but if you lose your concentration for a split second you’ve lost the rhythm completely.

Bongo Fun Time
Taptaptaptaptap, thud, thud, thud, clap, was the sound that greeted Nick Stokes as he walked towards the break room. He’d just finished work on the only open case at that time and was heading into the break room for some coffee before he went home.
Clapclapclapclapclapclap, thud, thud.
‘What the hell’ was all he could think as he walked into the room, seeing clearly the source of the noise. Greg and Archie were facing the TV with a pair of bongos each; these were attached to the game cube wired to the TV. ‘Greg, I should of known’ Nick walked over to one of the chairs, sat down and watched in amusement at the total concentration spread across both their faces as they hit the bongos in time to the symbols flashing across the screen.
‘What the hell are you guys doing?’ he asked grinning to himself as they both jumped and lost the rhythm completely.
‘Nick we were halfway through Predictable on the Gorilla level, do you have any idea how hard that is, we were so close’. Greg cried from his position on the floor.
‘Nick you could have waited till we’d finished’, Archie said turning round to face the reason for the loss of rhythm.
‘I really would say I’m sorry if I was, but I’m not... what is this game?’ Nick was still curious and Greg’s outburst just confused him even more.
‘It’s called Donkey Konga, you have to hit the bongos’, he pointed to the object in his hands as he said this, ‘in time with the right symbol as it gets to the edge of the screen’.
‘Red means you hit the right drum, yellow means you hit the left, when its pink you hit them both together. If it’s a long symbol you have to hit that drum really quickly with both hands’. Archie explained
‘What’s that weird blue star thing?’ Nick asked his curiosity growing.
‘That is when you clap, want to play?’ Greg asked timidly holding out his set of bongos.
‘Ok... but can we do something easier’
‘Breakfast At Tiffany’s it is, its only one banana so don’t worry and we’ll set the level to monkey, you’ll pick it up easy’.
The game was set to exactly what Greg said and he was right Nick picked it up quite easily, however he was getting confused between his left and right, losing the beat causing Archie and Greg to laugh making him lose his concentration even more.
The tapping, thudding and clapping had created an audience outside the break room of various lab techs and CSI’s watching Nick struggle through All Star. The situation was made even more amusing by the fact that all three men had started to sing very badly and very loudly along, creating more distraction for Nick’s concentration.
It was the laughter from their colleagues that caused them to stop, all three of them turning bright red at the embarrassment of being caught.
Greg stood up bongos in his hands arms outstretched, ‘anyone want to play?’ he asked sheepishly.
