Hi! Here is chapter 2! Not much to say right now ‘cept enjoy the chapter!
Chapter 1:
To Port Royal
Rose stood in the crow’s nest, her sea foam green eyes scanning the deep blue sea. Her red curls blowing and coat tails waving in the wind and her hat threatening to come off at any second. Oh how she loved being a pirate. Swashbuckling adventures, gold, no one to tie you down to anything. It was a great life; dangerous, but great.
They were currently heading towards Port Royal for plundering and pillaging. According to Rose, Port Royal had the best plunder out of anywhere in the Caribbean. It was dangerous, considering the fact that Pirates natural enemy, the Navy, resided there but it was a risk well worth taking. But, then again, Rose did have poor judgment and she did sometimes get her facts wrong. She probably thought it just had the best plunder because of the name.
“Captain, we’re almost there,” Bess Coalshot called up. Rose smiled before grabbing a nearby rope and sliding down to the deck, landing next to friend.
“Is everything ready?” Rose asked casually as they walked toward her cabin where a fancy dress was waiting for her.
“Yes, but are you sure this is a good idea?” Bess asked. She was nervous about her younger comrade, whose plan was basically to find the richest looking person and come up with some lame excuse to stay there for a while and rob them of their goods. Bess was positive the Rose would get caught and they’d have to bust her out of jail…again.
“Positive,” Rose confirmed, she didn’t know why everyone was worrying so much. The plan was going to work this time, she knew it. She felt a pair of thin arms wrap around her then.
“Good bye Rose, I’ll miss you,” Rose’s younger sister, Kate said. Rose sighed.
“Don’t worry Kate, I’m not going anywhere,” She said, patting her sister’s arm.
“No, she’s not, because we’ll have to break her out again.” Bess said. Rose sighed and gave her first mate a disapproving look.
“No you won’t because I’ll break myself out if I get caught,” Rose replied, emphasizing the ‘if’. Kate turned Bess.
“What’s your first order captain?” She asked. Bess chuckled and Rose glared at her younger sister, disappointed in her crew’s lack of confidence in her.
“One more joke from you two, and I’m going to leave you in Tortuga with Rachel,” She threatened. None of her crew-except for Rachel Treasurebatten-wanted to go back to land and the only reason Rachel wanted to go back was because she wasn’t getting what she wanted from pirating. Rose had told her that her business wouldn’t have gone up and, Rose honestly didn’t know why, but, no matter how much they went to Tortuga, she would never just stay there and she had no desire to stay there until recently and Rose was more then happy to let her go. All That Rachel really was was a burden. Rose herself didn’t know why she hadn’t gotten rid of her earlier.
Bess and Kate shared one more giggle as their captain retreated to her cabin to get ready.
“Alright how much do you wanna bet that we have to go get her?” Kate asked Bess.
TBP & TBhQ
Rose emerged from her cabin wearing a flowing, pastel green dress with white trim. Her red curls fell on her shoulder while some of it was tied back and her face was actually clean! The crew gasped when they saw her, well, except for Rachel, who just glowered. She didn’t look like a pirate anymore.
“Who are you and what have you done with my sister?” Kate asked. Rose smiled and giggled.
“Better then a prostitute right?” She asked, mostly just to annoy Rachel further.
“Anything’s better then a prostitute.” Kate replied. That made Rachel really angry and she stomped below deck.
“Y’know, you might actually pull this off,” Bess said, walking up to them.
“That’s what I keep telling you guys,” Rose said. Kate and Bess rolled their eyes. “Now, I plan to be back by tomorrow night and if I’m not, then head to Tortuga and I’ll meet you there.” She said, heading toward the dingy.
“Um, Rose, are you sure that’s a good idea?” Bess asked.
“Yes I’m sure,” Rose confirmed, annoyed with her crew’s fretting over her and her plans.
“But what if you can’t break yourself out?”
“I’ll be able to,” Rose defended getting very annoyed.
“Are you sure?” Bess asked.
“Bess Coalshot, just row me to shore,” Rose ordered. Bess sighed as they lowered the dingy to the water and jumped into it themselves. There was silence as they rowed to a shore that was close to the town but not so close that they could be seen.
“Rose, you know I’m just looking out for you, I don’t want anything to happen to you,” Bess said. Rose turned and glared at her.
“Just row,” she said, before turning away. Bess sighed, shook her head and rolled her eyes. The captain could be so irrational sometimes.
They rowed in silence for a few more minutes before decided that they had found a good place to land.
“Now, remember, if I’m not back by tomorrow night, you leave without me, okay?” Rose clarified.
“Aye, aye captain,” Bess replied. Rose nodded and smiled.
“I’ll see you tomorrow night then,” Rose said, turning around and sprinting for Port Royal. Bess sighed. She knew Rose would get caught, she just knew it. She stared at what was left of the captain’s retreating back before rowing back to the Bountyhunter Queen.
TBP & TBhQ
Rose smiled as she neared the town. Riches, here she comes!
Alright, there you go, I hope you liked it! I had originally wanted to make this chapter longer, but it just didn’t work out that way, oh well. Hopefully, the next chapter will be longer, I’m not gonna make any promises because I don’t even know myself.
One more thing, I want to put up a new story and I have a poll with some of the stories I have on the waiting list and I want to put one of those on after I have updated all of my stories at least once. So, go to my page and on my profile, near the bottom, there are some stories with their fandom and the pairings that they have and then go vote for the one you want. Alright, that’s it, R&R please!
