Smile
a tender boy at a tender age
he lives with his mother and father
his mother he fails
his father he fears
he must learn to bury his self
a loving mother but a torn up wife
she died in misery
her son stood still
in wide eyed fear
as his father blew out his own brains
an unknown orphan on an unknown street
he looked at the blood on his hands
he lifted them up
and tasted the blood
he smiled, oh what a fine wine
a dangerous drug and a cause for fear
the crow laughed sadistically
the rush of emotion
so violent and true
he laughed in the face of death
a crowded cell with another fight
someone discouraged his laugh
a knife in his mouth
a rip of the flesh
now his smile is forever seen
a masked crusader in the dead of night
oh how the great must fall
a push over here
a tug over there
and he has finally met his match
a broken man with a broken mind
he lives in a crazy world
he never cries
he always laughs
he has learned to bury his self
A.N. So, this is my first poem for a fandom. I was going to make it into a story, but only small flashes of images were coming to me. Besides, I think this is better. In case you didn’t notice, this is what I see the Joker’s life being. This is based off the Dark Knight Joker as it’s been too long since I’ve seen any of the cartoons and I have not had the pleasure of reading the comics.
I hope you enjoyed and would love it if you reviewed. Just push the friendly button at the bottom of the screen. :)
