Loved til the ends of the earth

A/N - yet another PoR drabble. This takes place right after Jonathan defeats the whip's memory. I always wondered how Charlotte felt knowing that Jonathan could die if he got too careless with the whip, which was what ended up happening anyway canon-wise. ;A; Poor Johnny.

Jonathan saw everything back to normal after a long, hard fight with the whip's memory and defeated him with cream pies. He was barely able to get any good hit off of the memory. When he was just about to give up, he then had a flashback of what his father had once taught him.

When nothing's going well, think something crazy. Think outside of the box. Think of something so out there, that it might just work, son.

And by thinking out of the box, he had to choose between throwing airplanes or the cream pies. He at first tried the airplanes, but Richter only caught them and ended up laughing at him. However, the pies left Jonathan to have the last laugh. As ridiculous as it sounded, at least he completed the task. He licked the cream off his fingers and grinned. The pie was sweet and the coconut cream inside was whipped just like the school nurse made them.

"I see you've returned in one piece," Charlotte walked toward him, impressed.

"I really see why Father wouldn't teach me to use it," Jonathan said. "The power is really scary.."

"You do realize what will happen now, right?" Loretta then stepped between the two.

"Yes," Charlotte and Jonathan's voices were united.

Knowing what will happen now, Charlotte had to fight hard to hide her emotions. She felt tears streaming from her eyes as she quickly wiped them. With the tears winning over her, she excused herself from Jonathan, Stella and Loretta as ran out of the dining room. She used a magical ticket to quickly teleport back to Vincent's shop, but had ran from him and back into the hallway where Eric stood. Completely taken over by her emotions, she dropped to her knees and sobbed.

Even if she did coach him not to use that whip so much, Jonathan would still die sooner. She tried to imagine what life would be like without her best friend beside her. Sure, when Jonathan put his mind to it, he could really get on her nerves, but deep inside he meant everything to her. Despite that he didn't always listen to her, a bit stubborn, impatient and easy to drift off, she loved him more than anything. She never once admitted those feelings for him, and if she did, Jonathan wouldn't respond very well. At least the way she wanted him to.

Eric then appeared and approached behind her. When he touched her shoulder, it was a mere chill on her back. She jumped as she quickly wiped the tears from her eyes. She cried so hard that her eyes became puffy and stung, with her head pounding.

"Are you alright, Charlotte?" His voice was gentle. It was none of his business, but Eric hated to see a pretty girl, or rather -- a young woman like Charlotte cry, especially over a boy.

"Actually, to be honest, I never was," Charlotte sniffed. "I'm just now discovering how much Jonathan meant to me and knowing now that he might die sooner.." She sobbed harder.

"I know," Eric whispered. He wanted to embrace her, but Charlotte wouldn't be able to feel him. "It was the same thing with John and I. That's why you tell Jonathan how you feel while he's still around."

"Yeah," Charlotte sighed.

"Don't worry about what will happen in the long run -- just worry about what's going on right now. Jonathan needs you." Eric smiled. "That boy loves you too, even an idiot can tell. He'll grow up and listen to you."

She then laughed briefly.

"Now, go back up there and make sure Jonathan doesn't do anything stupid!"

Once Charlotte had stopped crying, she did just that, and headed back to the upper level of the castle. By the time she arrived, she spotted Jonathan sleeping, snoring obnoxiously on a chair. Stella and Loretta were giggling as they put a pencil on one of his nostrils. Charlotte giggled as well. "Jonathan..." She whispered in his ear, trying to wake him.

"Mmm, you're so pretty when you get mad, Charlotte..." Jonathan blurted out in his sleep, then went back to his snoring.

She twisted her face in disgust and confusion. She then smirked and used an alternate way of waking him. She quickly tapped his crotch. Jonathan's eyes flew open as he jerked out of his seat, with the pencil sliding out of his nose. "Huh?!" He then looked at Charlotte. "Um, is everything okay?"

"Everything's fine," Charlotte said with a grin. "I'm ready...whenever you are."

"Very well," Stella said as she unlocked the barrier that lead to the last four paintings of the castle. Charlotte and Jonathan walked through, as Charlotte held his hand. Jonathan flinched a little, slightly confused. He then relaxed and held Charlotte's in return. They then stood in front of the paintings.

"Where to next?" Jonathan asked.

"I'm not letting you get turned on again, so let's go to the Dark Academy first," Charlotte's tone was a bit harsh as she glared at another desert painting. She then opened the portal, holding Jonathan close. He held her in return, running his fingers against her long hair. Charlotte nuzzled her nose against Jonathan's chest, as she held his hand again before they teleported to the new world ahead of them. Charlotte was going to love him to the ends of the earth and she was going to do so while he was still around.

Fin.

End note - I'm still feeling a little upset and confused. Hopefully this situation will all be just a misunderstanding. Anyway, I don't know whether or not I should write any more PoR Drabbles or write a drabble from a different Castlevania game, NOT being Bloodlines. In order to get more wind as far as fanbases are concerned, I have to write about CV games I can't stand playing let alone writing about. That won't be fun.
