“Mr. Blackadder! The Prince says he’d like some coffee.”

“Then let him go round to Mrs. Miggin’s Pie shop like the rest of us and get some brown water,” the irreverent butler mumbled as he slowly read through the help wanted pages of the paper.

“He says he prefers his brown water here.”

“In that case, go fetch the chamber pot.”

Baldrick stood motionless, mouth open. Edmund couldn’t decide if the slow servant really didn’t understand the joke, or if he simply didn’t know what a chamber pot was.

By the foul stench in the room, he assumed the latter.
