Finding Xerxxes

Finding Xerxxes

You know, I write too much. I haven’t got nearly as much fics as Keeper of Tomes but I keep thinking of random fics and remembering my old ones. It annoys me. Anyway here is a Fic about the legendary Terra Xerxxes. It was gonna be a one shot, but I got carried away.

By the way, Xelda is pronounced Zelda, Xorro is Zorro, you get the idea.

Aerrow awoke with a start. The ship jolted, sending him flying into his bedroom wall. His Blades fell and cut into his forehead. He shoved his gear on and stuck his Blades into their pouches on his back. He ran out into the hall. The others were doing the same.

The ship jolted again and this time, Aerrow fell to the floor. It was supposed to be an early night for him as he didn’t feel well, now he was feeling worse. He stumbled into the bridge, clutching his bleeding head.

“Stork, what’s going on?” he asked.

“Dunno! Something like. . .energy, coming from something dead ahead!” he shouted, trying to steer the ship.

Piper and Finn fell into the room and landed beside Aerrow. He looked at them, blood dripping onto them.

“Aerrow, you’re hurt!” Piper exclaimed.

“No! I’m fine!” he yelled, trying to staunch the bloody wound above his left eyebrow.

She grabbed his hands and wiped the blood away.

“Aerrow, that’s quite deep, we need a bandage,” she began.

Aerrow stopped her. There were red lights ahead and Skimmer’s that Aerrow recognised as Cyclonian. People were screaming from the unknown Terra ahead and the squadron that were fighting the Talons were losing miserably.

“Piper, it’ll have to wait, those people need help! Storm Hawks! To the Skimmer’s!”

They all ran to the Hanger Bay and Aerrow jumped onto his Skimmer. Radarr came out of nowhere and sat beside him.

“Radarr, where did you go?” he asked.

Radarr yawned and massaged his back. He had fallen asleep in the kitchen.

“Storm Hawks, let’s fly!” Aerrow yelled.

They took off speeding towards the Terra. Piper rose up to fly beside him.

“Aerrow, I had a quick look at the maps and this Terra isn’t on here. And it’s not Vapos because for one thing it doesn’t look the same, and the Vaposians wouldn’t attack the Condor or anyone else. It’s a neutral Terra,” she said.

“Piper, we don’t care what Terra it is, just as long as we don’t die,” Finn said.

Piper scowled at him.

Aerrow squinted at the Talons, who were slowly, but victoriously winning and he saw the man whom he had expected. The Dark Ace, who hadn’t noticed them yet.

“Guy’s he hasn’t noticed us yet!” said Aerrow.

He pointed up and they flew above the cloud layer, leaving a small gap in which they waited for an opportunity. Aerrow pushed a red button on his Skimmer .

“Aerrow to Condor: I need you here quietly in about five minutes,” he whispered.

“Copy that,” said Storks voice.

Aerrow looked back at Dark Ace who was now duelling with a girl of around his own age. She had teal, greenish hair and a very strange pair of eyes that were fuchsia. She had a small red and black X tattooed on her right cheek and she was wearing a similar outfit to Piper’s, only hers was red and black. She had a red and black X plate on left shoulder and in her right hand, she wielded a long, dark purple Sword. Her long hair was whipping around her face, probably making it difficult to see.

“GO!” Aerrow suddenly yelled, without knowing he had.

The Storm Hawks dove down to help the unknown squadron. The girl was knocked down.

“Look, just piss off and leave our Terra alone!” he heard her say.

Aerrow shot at Dark Ace’s Blade and it fell. He dove down to retrieve it. Aerrow hovered beside the girls Skimmer.

“You ok?” he asked her.

“Yeah, Xelda’s the name,” was all she had time for; Dark Ace rose back up.

“Oh, typical Aerrow, always coming to the rescue! It infuriates me to no end!” Dark Ace yelled, aiming for him now.

He suddenly wished he hadn’t intervened. Something was different about Dark Ace. He seemed . . . more evil or angrier, or more of a hungry predator killing its prey. Well he was something different and more evil. His blood red eyes were somewhat darker and he seemed more menacing.

Dark Ace suddenly jumped on to Aerrow’s Skimmer and struck. Aerrow blocked. Dark Ace began pushing down with extreme force and Aerrow struggled to keep him at bay.

Xelda was helping her friends defend their Terra and the Hawks were helping, all except Aerrow who was shaking from Dark Ace’s power.

“Don’t know this Terra, Aerrow?” Dark Ace asked smugly.

“To be honest with you, I couldn’t care less where we are!” Aerrow yelled forcefully back.

This however, wasn’t true. He was desperate to know where they were. His thoughts were soon extinguished as Xelda rose up beside him.

“Falcon! Blaze!” she called.

Out of nowhere, a griffin and a very large Phoenix appeared.

“Get that man!” she yelled, pointing to Dark Ace.

Dark Ace turned and slashed at the Griffin who fell out of the air and onto the Terra, where people started tending to him. The Phoenix however, could not be touched. It screamed at Dark Ace and Aerrow had to smile, remembering their last encounter with a Phoenix with Dark Ace. Dark Ace had been terrified! Dark Ace glanced at Aerrow and jumped onto his own Skimmer. He grabbed the boy’s hair and pulled.

“OW!” he said deliberately.

“I’ll be back,” he whispered in a very low voice. One so low that it scared Aerrow.

He let go of his hair and flew away, the Phoenix casing him. Aerrow landed to find the Hawks and a lot of the Terra’s people crowding around the Griffin. It was healing quickly. Aerrow turned to Xelda.

“Well, we haven’t been properly introduced, I’m Xelda, Sky Knight of Xerxxes!” she said brightly, holding out her hand. He shook it.

“Wait, the Xerxxes? The one that no one knows about?”

“Yeah, well, except from the Cyclonians,” she remarked. “This is my squadron.”

She brought them forward.

“This is Xorro, the crystal expert and he’s quite good at coming up with plans,” she indicated the boy on her right.

He had green hair and light brown eyes.

“This is Xeller, the sharpshooter; she’s the best shot in Xerxxes!”

Xeller had bright blue hair and soft pink eyes.

“This is our muscle-man or woman, her name’s Xena.”

Xena didn’t look at all strong. She was skinny and small with pure white hair and pinky-red eyes; an albino.

“This wonderful woman here is out helmsman or woman, her name is Xenette.”

Xenette was very tall and she had butter coloured eyes and soft brown hair. She was probably nineteen or twenty.

“And finally, this is my wonderful co-pilot, Electra,” she said.

Electra had blood red long hair and beetle black eyes.

Aerrow thought he’d introduce his squadron now.

“Well, this is Radarr, he’s my co-pilot. This is Finn, he’s my wingman and sharpshooter, this is Piper, the mission specialist and crystal expert, this is Junko, the flight engineer and heavy ballistics, and this is Stork the carrier pilot,” he finished

“And you are?” Xelda asked.

“Aerrow,” he said.

Xelda gasped and so did many others around her.

“May I speak with you alone?” she asked.

He glanced nervously at the Storm Hawks before nodding. He followed her into a tall building.

“Listen, apparently Dark Ace murdered your father a few years ago?” she asked.

“Yes,” he replied uncertainly.

“Well, I have a little surprise for you!” she said excitedly.

I sure am evil. You’ll need to review then read the next chapter if you want to find out what will happen next. I think you already know anyhow. Just review pleaxe? There will difinetly be more chapterx and if you have Ideax or requests for another Fic, just let me know.
