SAVING HER THIS TIME

There was a law made for her. How many people get to say that in their lifetime? Then again the fact that she can’t is why the law was made to begin with. She can’t remember, and that statement in meant in every and any sense of the word.

Donna Noble can’t remember that she was one of the Doctor’s companions. That she flew through time and space with him, because if she did it would mean her death, and we all owe her too much for that.

She saved us all and it cost her…..everything.

Her mind.

Her happiness.

It cost her him.

The Doctor.

So we abide by the law that was made to protect her. No one mentions the Doctor, the

TARDIS time travel or that 21 planents owe their existence to her. 27 planets including Earth. We owe it all to Donna Noble.

And we can’t even thank her.

All we can do is keep silent.

She doesn’t suspect a thing or doesn’t seem to. The spike in her intelligence is just laughed off. The fact that every time she goes for a job interview she seems to get the job is relegated to the fact that she’s “super temp.” No one tells her otherwise.

It’s the least we can do.

It’s the only thing we can do.

Other worlds are probably singing her praises. Making songs, poems, great works of art in her name. All we can do is nothing.

Our silence is the only thing we can give her. She doesn’t know it, but she saved us.

But we’re saving her this time.
