CHAPTER 8: HATE

Sakura awoke quickly with a fright. Eyes snapping wide, open like saucers. She rose up onto the bed. What just happened was it a dream, actually what was that nightmare. Was it all real. What time was it. What is today’s date? No, no, that couldn’t of happened they were happy, they all were happy. Sasuke was the Sasuke she always wanted. She got the little girl she had been wishing for. She got the life she wanted that couldn’t of happened. It couldn’t of happened, not with her son. Her mind was racing but all was settled once she saw her eldest child Shousuke, still in that 5 year old form she remembered quite well. He was snoring lightly and she giggled softly. In her dream he was a man almost an adult. And there was nothing innocent about him. Chills and shivers ran down her spine as the traumatic events of that nightmare replayed in her mind. She just watched him with that kind, innocent, peaceful look on his face. Soon after though he woke from his sleep, giving a slight yawn and stretch.

“Hey mom, I am so glad you are awake. I, we all missed you. Are you feeling well, like you can stay thins time?” Her son continued on with his chatting with the brightest smile on his face from seeing his mother awake and feeling healthy.

Sakura pondered on what the meaning of her staying meant but, smiled as she looked around the hospital room and back to him. “Yes, I am feeling a lot better, and of course I am staying. I need to get outta the hospital and head home soon so we can get ready for your 5th birthday.”

Her smile and enthusiasm quickly washed away at her son’s frown. “What is wrong, Shou?”

“My birthday has long since passed, you were there remember. You suffered from an extreme anxiety attack and black out. You have been off and on for the past week. After the accident the first time they said that you might have relapses. But you said you were fine when you woke up, you were so excited. You said you had new motivation. Then after my birthday you were kind of different not as happy. Then you got sick and here you are.” Shou concluded sadly, feeling as if his mother was not as well as he had hoped.

Sakura looked down towards he stomach, she was still pregnant and her stomach seemed to be at just about 6 months, three months past when she was first entered in the hospital, also just a little bit less than the time she spent in that dream/nightmare. Whilst she was in that dream she was living life here, that was until that traumatic event in that dream which would have been a week ago. That day she came back all excited should have been that first day she spent there in this future, no she would not call that the future because that is not what was going to happen to her and her family. Then she noted the ‘he left’ statement of Shou’s. And her eyes widened again, please Kami no, it can’t be. You can’t just tell me that that is my future.

“Who is it that left Shou.” Her son grew worried as he heard the emotions in his mother’s voice. And his face grew together a scowl came onto his face. “Father, he left us, like the selfish bastard he is. But don’t worry mommy I can take care of us all six of us.” She just hid her fear and smiled to her son.

After all the greetings and her welcoming home she was putting her four boys to bed. She was still having trouble having to swallow it all. It was like knowing exactly when you are going to die, but you could not change it, for it was too late. It was too late to change what was going to happen she believed. Sasuke has already left and he will come back they will have more children, but it will all end in despair. She could not settle on that, this time around she gets to remember her boys growing up. Maybe she will get the chance to change this a little. Make all their memories happier.

She was settling, Ryun, Ryou, and Ryuu into their cribs after reading them a short story. And was off to tuck in Shou. He was already in bed though and was reading a scroll, when she walked into his room. He set down the scroll at the sight of his mother and smiled at her. Sakura smiled back and sat next to his bed, pulling his covers up to make sure he was snug in bed. Saying her good night to him at the same time. Before she got up and left she quickly became serious.

“Shou I want to you to promise me something.” He nodded to her, “That anything that might ever be bothering you, you will tell me about. I will never think anything less of you regardless if it is good or bad. Don’t ever shut me out. I just can’t be shut out by anyone anymore.” Her voice slowly dwindled down towards the end.

“Of course mother.” He quickly agreed to her promise. And reached and gave his mother a hug. She squeezed him tightly giving him a soft kiss on the top of his head. “Alright good night, Shousuke.” “Night mom.”

Sakura walked back to her room changing her clothes, brushing her hair, and settling into bed. No one would of thought that even when you sleep next to a person that holds a heart, so cold, how much colder life can get without them. Even if Sasuke, never loved her, even if he never acted as if he cared, even if after they did their most intimate acts he rolled over and acted as if she didn’t exist, even if he never held her, or just never did anything at all, her bed felt still felt so much colder. Especially knowing that soon enough he will never be there again.

THREE YEARS LATER

Sakura awoke once again with a jerk. For the past three years of her life these sleepless nights were not uncommon. Almost every night for the past three years she has dreamt the same thing. Reliving that day she saw in the future hearing the same words.

She saw the Sasuke that came over time, but she saw her incomplete happiness and the confusion that came along with this new him. The words he spoke the night before the most tragic event ever had rung in her head. Sasuke was there with her in bed they and she was lying on his chest as he spoke to her, “Sakura there are two sides to every story and I only wish I could have been there to read yours. It’s okay to have hate me or what I used to be or who I am now. I know what I have done to you and I do believe that it shouldn’t of come with easy penance.”

Then she saw the flames of hate consume her eldest son causing him to burn all things in his path literally. Watching the flames consume him even more as she saw him take his father’s life, and all those that got in his way as he pursued his goal. The words he said to her as his father lay bleeding to death thanks to Shou, as she tried to heal him back to life.

“Why do you love him so much mother. Why will you do anything for him after all he has done to hurt us. Can’t you see I did this for you, mother. I did this so you could truly be happy. I did this so our family could be happy. Why couldn’t you just hate him like I did why are hurting, because he is going to die. Why can’t you just hate him? “ Her son was shouting this two her with tears in his eyes.

To all of this Sakura was confused, is this the life she was doomed to. Is that is all her life was going to be filled with, hate and despair, all because she loved oh so much. And she constantly wondered why. What had she done so wrong but love, live, forgive, and forget.

Sakura shook her head heavily. She reflected on that glimpse of the future every time she woke. She was going to change her future and give everyone what they wanted so she could avoid this tragedy she knew she didn’t deserve.

She hated him. She hated everything Sasuke has ever put her through, she hated him as a person, and embraced the fact that he left to go on that mission after his fight with Kakashi.

The days were coming nearer in which his mission would end and he would be back in Konoha. And when that day arrives she knew she would hate him even more.

She didn’t love him for providing her with this life of luxury or five perfect sons. She didn’t love him for any of it. She hated him for tricking her into all of it, she hated him for leaving her. And she loved the fact that she hated him. She loved the fact that if Sasuke was ever going to be in his sons lives again he would have to work for forgiveness.

She loved the fact that she would get the chance to be the cold and emotionless one as he was the one that always wondered why she just won’t love him back. She loved the fact that those happy moments in life that she saw in her future life would be everlasting and not a false façade as if from something of the gilded age. She loved the fact that she finally hated him for all he has done. That now he would get to see her side of the story.

Notes: So yes Sakura hates him and I flipped the story 100% and am going on from here. She has five sons now that she has been raising all alone for past 3 years. And she thinks its time she flipped the script and let Sasuke live the story from her side. Hence the story being two sides.

A/N: Yeah so I finally decided to come back. I rewrote the whole entire story from last chapter on and decided that it was finally some what good enough. For you guys to check out. Frankly I was going to leave it in the future and everything would have been all happy, but four of their children would have died. So I decided to put this spin on it so it could have a chance with a happy ending, because I haven't written much but I could definately forsee it not being of great quality. So please let me know how you guys are feeling about this because it would really help out in me getting the chapters out in a more timely fashion instead of trying to rewrite then forgetting all about it completely.

REVIEW REVIEW REVIEW PLEASE. IT REALLY DOES HELP.
