The confection hung, almost as if suspended, in mid-air.
“Say it.”
“No.”
The dessert moved.
“No!”
Azur blue glared at coffee brown.
Chocolatey goodness hovered over the trash bin.
“Okay!!”
“You’ll go on a date with me?”
The girl crossed her arms, annoyed at her weakness for his baked goods.
The calories alone were enough to throw off her entire balanced diet.
Damn him.
“Pick you up around 6?”
He no longer existed as the golden biscuit dropped from his hand to hers. She chewed silently, watching him walk away, narrowing her eyes after the best damn chef.
