Ariana the Echidna: the Adventure has Begun

Prologue: One Stormy Night

Hello fellow reader. I am Maximillan J. Oasis, but to everyone… I’m Max. I’m just an owner of a place called “The Sonic Diner”… located here… in Station Square, but I am also a part time member of the Guardians of United Nations, also known as GUN. So much has happened that I don’t even know where to start. Well, I should probably guess it’s easy to start at the beginning. It all began that night… the night of the storm.

I was just taking orders from my costumers as usual when a blue hedgehog came in the diner. Can you guess who it was? It was none other then the world’s fastest hedgehog, Sonic.

“Aw, man! I’m soaked!” He yelled in frustration. I laughed at him.

“Ah, Sonic the Hedgehog, it’s good of you to come into my diner at this time of night. You should have brought a coat with you so you wouldn’t get soaked.”

“Ha, ha. VERY funny, Max. Can ya bring me a towel, please?” I nodded and went over to my counter as I took out a green bath towel and tossed it to him.

“There you go, Sonic.”

“Thanks, Max” He said as he sat at the counter and wrapped the towel around himself. “So, what’cha been up to?” I sighed.

“Nothing new… I’m afraid. I’m going to close down the diner for the night, but you’re more than welcome to stay here for a little longer, OK?”

“You bet, Max. Say, have ya heard the news? Some WEIRD things been happenin’ here lately.”

“You mean… about those ‘black creatures with bright yellow eyes’? Yeah, I’ve heard about them. One of Eggman’s schemes again, I suppose?”

“Not this time. In fact… I haven’t heard from ‘im.”

“Really? Have you heard from Shadow?”

“Yeah, I have. He said that he had a dream ‘bout someone.”

“He dose? Who was it?”

“He doesn’t know. It’s about some-” All of the sudden… we saw a flash of bright green light outside of the diner, so we quickly ran outside. “What the heck is that?!” We then got blinded by it. When we were able to see again, we saw a black and red echidna on the ground badly wounded. We gasped.

“It’s a girl!” I yelled as we ran over to her.

“We better bring ‘er inside, Max.”

“Good idea. Come on.” Each of us took her arms and hurried inside.

I was very frightened to see her like that… so badly hurt. That was the night that everything changed for me. I mean, every boring day had been just the same for me. But this… this was the beginning of a real adventure for not just me… but for Sonic and his pals for that was the night that he and I met this one special girl… Ariana the Echidna… the legendary Protector of Time. This…is her story… our story… a story that we all have in out hearts.
