Worlds apart
Here is another chapter I’m trying to get though all this stuff and get into the part that will be fun to write
I’m on a trip to a collage! Doane collage to be exact. They have this bus trip for people in Colorado... so I sinned up and it’s a bus load of peps. It’s crazy and is like 8 hours there, so yea I have nothing to do so I decided to write! So here is another chapter. This one is WAY longer and I reread this thing a few hundred times so I think it should be just fine.
Chapter 12: I’m nothing without you
Emily went into a rundown ‘ghetto’ hotel lot, which had a few broken windows, looked old, but also had the smell of old burnt plastic. Emily walked up to the building with a face of dislike. Why was she stuck to a place like this, but she had to lay low. With that in mind, Emily went into the building to buy a room. The owner was behind the counter smoking something, which Emily believe to be weed. “Hello sexy.” He said to her and Emily smiled. “Shit,” He said as he looked at her blood stained shirt. “Are you ok?” He asked with a concerned voice.
“O no, I’m good. You should see the other guy.” Emily said with a grin plastered on her face. The man looked her slightly but shook his head.
“So what kind of room you want?” he asked while taking a puff of the joint. “Want some?” He asked while releasing some of the smoke. He put out towards her. She looked at the joint and knew that that joint was her past. It was the bad girl she used to be, the girl that had a risk of hurting herself while she danced. Hell the girl who almost cracked her head open cause she was dancing while being on shrooms. Yet she was already breaking the rules
“Yea, I’ll take a hit.” She reached over and took a few hits and handed it back to him. “How much is a room? I don’t know how long I’ll be here.” She said while flirting with him. She needed the cheapest thing, and she hoped for some kind of niceness from him. She made sure to lean over and look interested in him, and he seamed to think she was. She inwardly giggled at how easy it was to work a guy and make him believe
“50 bucks a night.” He said pointing to a sine as he went back to taking a hit from the joint with a grin plastered on his face.
“Ok.” She said handing him a 50 dollar bill. “If I need to stay tomorrow, I’ll pay you again then.” He nodded and went to hand the joint back to her. He patted to a chair next to him, and she hopped over the counter in a swift motion and landed perfectly where he pointed.
“Wow, you move nicely.” He said looking her up and down. Emily would normally hit a guy like this, but she needed a place to stay.
“Thanks, I break dance.” She said quickly while taking a puff of the joint.
“Really now?” he asked with his eye brows raised. She nodded as she released the smoke that built up in her lungs.
“Yea all the time, maybe I’ll show you later.” Emily said teasing him. She put the joint to her lips and inhaled it with a smiled. She was already breaking the law, and if now isn’t bad, soon she will be. She stopped inhaling and held it in for a bit before releasing the rest of the smoke. When she did Emily found her self in coughing fit, and the man laughed.
“That’s the way to do it. If you cough, you won’t come off.” He said as he took another hit. They finished up the rest of it together, and Emily started to feel really good. It was a feeling that the heavy weight that had been holding her down for so long was being lifted off her. She wasn’t blazed or anything, but the feelings she had was great. She forgot how this feeling was.
After she zoned out for a while and enjoyed just watching the time pass by, she got up and smiled at the man. “Thanks, I really needed that.” She said and gave him a quick little kiss on his cheek. She almost started to bust out laughing at the sight of his red face when she pulled away. She jumped over the counter again and waved at him as she left him sitting down.
Emily started her way into the hotel room and looked around her small little room. There was a bed, a small little fridge, a cheep television, a dresser which held the television, and a bathroom. It will work for now I guess, she told herself as she dumped the little bit of things she had from a black backpack she stole on the bed.
She looked on her bed there was her outfit, and some makeup supplies, which included her new hair color. She grinned at the blue/black color and ran into the bathroom. Emily opened the bottle she had. She followed the directions and put a plastic hat like contraction on her head with a gruff. Luckily no one would see her like this she looked like a black haired bimbo. She had dye all over her face and neck. As she waited for the color to work, she put on some music and started to dance. Even though she was a bit high, she did just fine. She started to do some kicks and couldn’t wait till she got her chance to get the Joker’s attention. She had to do something that he couldn’t miss. It couldn’t be some simple little heist, it had to be huge. Something that everyone would be talking about or even someone might record.
After the time frame, she took a quick shower and looked at her new hair color. The color looked great, a bit too dark, but she knew the Joker would love it. Now it was time to start chaos in the streets on Gotham. Emily did a quick towel to dry her body and hair. She looked at her self in the mirror and examined her body. Now that she had been out and about she was a bit more color to her body. She no longer looked like a walking zombie. Emily put on her outfit and smiled.
He was a Joker, and she was the Queen of Hearts. He had to know it was her; it was so obvious. Emily grasped the outfit and started to dress herself. She had to do something tonight, something BIG. As she got ready she had an outline of what she had to do. Tonight there was an event at the Opera house, the opening night of some Broadway Musical. She grinned at the theatrics she could do.
Emily looked at herself in the bathroom and moved around. It covered her just right, and she had to admit that black and red looked nice on her. She put on the accessories and she brushed her hair. She put on the crown and put on the needed make up to hide herself. Her eyeliner usage was HUGE and she knew that it would eventually look worse then the Joker’s own war paint. She liked it though; it was an extra connection to him.
Emily put on a black trench coat to try and hide herself the best she could before she jumped out the window and made her way towards the Opera House. She was freezing, as she walked down the street. I guess they didn’t make these for the people to go out in. It was way to cold to even be thinking of walking the whole way there. She looked around until she saw a car that looked nice enough, and it just happened to be unlocked. She jumped into the car and hotwired it. She made a silent prayer to her friend who taught her how to do this a few years back.
Emily quickly got out of there and grinned as she rolled down the window and felt the wind in her hair. She felt free almost like a bird that was released from her cage. She quickly took off the coat and threw it into the passenger seat. She was going to arrive in style, well as much style as a villain could. She smiled to herself when she noticed that she just called herself a villain. She was always a bit on the bad side as a child, but never did she think there was an evil villainess to her.
There where some people in another car and they were looking at her like she was crazy. She couldn’t blame them. It was February and there they see some girl dressed up in Halloween clothes. She grinned at them and waved as though there was nothing wrong with what she was in. They awkwardly waved back, and Emily couldn’t help a laugh that came out of her mouth.
Before long she made her way to the theater. People where going in, she parked the car down the street, and walked around the ally until she found a back entrance into the building. She loved how no one would think someone would get in this way.
She snuck in with no problem, and she found herself looking out on top of everything. She could see everyone, and she bet that if anyone looked they would see her too. She waited until the second act before she made her ‘scene.’ In the middle of one of the actors singing, she cut off a line on the cat walk, and half the catwalk fell down on the stage. She was holding on to the line, and smiled when it accidently crushed a minor character. She slid down the rope and shouted “Opps!” as landed and looked at what she caused. “My bad.” she made her way to the exit and watched as everyone looked at her as though they were afraid she would do something.
“You people act as though there was something to fear. I don’t see the Joker around here anywhere.” She said with a big grin while looking around as though he might be hiding in the dark corner. She did some spins around and giggled. “Well as you can see I just ended tonight’s entertainment, so you’ll have to deal with me. O has anyone ever seen their spleen? I always wondered what one looked like outside of a health video.” She pulled out a knife as she started to walk to some pretty little blonde. Before she could get all the way there, someone stepped up with a gun and Emily smiled. “You really want to use that on little old me?” She asked sounding like an innocent little girl.
“Who else would I be aiming at?” He shot off a few rounds, but Emily did a few moves to avoid them. She pulled out her cards while mid flip and threw a bunch of the Queen of Hearts cards his way. Once they landed they had a mini explosion in with them, and once they landed on him she saw people getting up to run out. She took that as her queue to leave. She made her way though the crowd, but then saw that blonde she wanted to kill, and threw her knife at her. It hit her dead in the neck and she fell forward. Emily laughed as she made her way to her car.
The Joker was watching TV when the news came in. It was his favorite show and he loved it when they did their segments on him. Instead of anything on him, there was something on a girl who they called ‘The Queen of Hearts’. Apparently she made a big scene at the Opera House, and killed one of the actors, put a man in critical condition in the hospital, and killed a girl outside by throwing a knife at her neck. He did like the idea of doing that and wondered why he didn’t do that to people outside of his henchmen. As he watched the broadcast lady talk about the night they compared this “Queen of Hearts” to him. They called her as big as a threat as himself. He took a lot of pride in working his way to where he was, and this girl did one heist and she was on the ‘big dog’ list. He knew some of the criminals around town weren’t going to like this. He pulled out his cell phone and sent a quick text message to scarecrow.
After he did so, he looked at the screen where they showed the girl in a Queen of Hearts outfit at last night’s Gotham’s Opera House. There was something that looked vaguely familiar about this girl. He looked at her hair, her body, her in general get up. There was something that hit him. Once he saw her eyes he knew exactly who it was. It was his pet, he wonder where she ran off too. He knew there were only so many places she would go without getting found.
He stood up in a fit of anger and at the same time happiness. He would be getting his pet back, but now he had to track her down. Was it only yesterday she ran away? He wondered why she would come out and do a crime. He didn’t have time to think about it though, as he got up and made his way to his henchmen. They where sitting down at the table eating some noodles. He wondered why every time he was looking for someone they where always in the kitchen. He didn’t to have a new talk on limiting the amount of food these men could have. He grinned at the men, and they looked up at him as though they knew where he was going. “Guys I have a mission for you...”
Emily awoke to a loud noise from down the hall. It had been a few days since she made her Gotham Opera House appearance. Since then she robbed a bank, and when out to McDonalds to get a burger in her outfit. The Joker said that he couldn’t so she decided to prove him wrong. It was all over the news’ and McDonalds was even using it as good publicity with them saying, ‘Our burgers are so good, they attract even the most evil people a bite.”
She heard movement outside her room, and a key going into the key hole. She didn’t have enough time to make it to the window, so she dashed under the bed and watched as the door opened up. She didn’t want to look up, afraid that the cops might be there. After a walk through, Emily let out a breath she was holding which came out a bit too loud. She felt a hand on her leg calf before she was dragged out from under the bed. She rolled over to see the Joker standing above her.
“Joker!” she yelled with delight. She put her arms around him, and he quickly pulled her off him.
“Where did you go? One min you are in your room, and next I hear you’re off down the street covered in the blood of one of my henchmen.” He said with a face that could kill.
“You would have killed him eventually.” She said with a giggle. He looked at the girl below him and couldn’t help but wonder what had gotten into her. Had she drove herself into insanity? “I had to leave, you wouldn’t come see me. I felt like I was dying, so I left. I waited for you to find me, and I made appearances just so you would I was here. It took you a while though. I wanted you to find me the first night.” She said as she looked up into his eyes.
“You want to be by my side?” He asked. He had been waiting for this for such a long time that he momentarily forgot about what she did. She nodded her head and the Joker grinned. “Good, now come along, and put on your outfit. I very much approve of it; it goes with mine just right.” He said with a grin. Emily nodded her head, and quickly headed to the bathroom. She put on her outfit and got herself ready for going out. She was beyond happy to have him with her again.
She walked out the bathroom, and saw the Joker sitting on her bed. She did a quick little spin and he grinned. “I thought the pictures looked good.” He said while looking her up and down. She smiled and made her way to his side, he left and she followed by his side.
Ok so that’s the work of two days… about 16 hours of chillian on a bus being bored… ok well I worked on this for maybe 14 hours lol I had to watch the Dark knight when they put it on. And I still have a few hours left. But I’m getting a headache and I can only pile so much into a Chapter. So for now on, I’m making my chapters WAY longer because now I like them this long makes me feel better and that I can write. He, He I actually reread this like million of times and each time I added more detail hope u like
