This is mind-boggling. This is freakin’ sick and wrong on all levels! This is disturbing and goes against everything I’ve ever believed. “…respected American surgeon says that, within five years, he will be able to graft wings and tails on to human beings.” And people are actually excited about this! Yeah, sure I’ve always dreamt of having wings and being able to fly whenever I wanted, and actually having that dream come true would be cool but that’s just…I’ve run out of adjectives to describe it. It’s like the Maximum Ride series coming to life! I mean what is this world coming to? Do they think they can interfere with what God intended for us to be. Do they think they can be God and determine what a human should look like and act like? I’m sorry to bring God into this, but this is just how I feel, and I need to get it out somewhere.

God created us (I know this is a very controversial subject) and intended for us to look the way we do for a reason. But now people have gone and messed with science to an extreme, and I can’t just not talk about it anymore. They are stretching beyond what humans were meant to do. Maybe I’m just a bit too religious about this, but I don’t think humans were ever meant to have that kind of power. I don’t think we were ever meant to be able to change our bodies like this. I mean, tails, wings? What’s next? I’ve never been the one saying, “Oh, all rock music is evil….Harry Potter is Satanic. Everyone who participates in things like this will go to Hell.” I’ve never thought that, because that’s judging, and honestly, I’ve read Harry Potter. Obviously by my fanfiction I’ve read Twilight. A novel I’m writing has to do with someone who has the ability to shapeshift and talk to animals.

If this is what the future is going to look like, I’m not sure I want to be involved. I really don’t know how to say this correctly, and I’m sorry if I offended anyone, but this just makes my stomach curl. It’s hard for me to believe that science could have gotten so carried away.
