Wrote this a while ago after recalling how awkward it could be when you're eavesdropping and you heard one thing but the people are doing something completely different.
Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto. But it would be totally pwnsome if I did...
“Gaara-sama! Be careful! You nearly hit me in the nose with it!”
“Well, if you’d just stay still, it wouldn’t have happened.”
Kankuro. Temari, and Kaori sat outside the kitchen door, ears pressed to the woodwork. They had been there for a few minutes now, and all wore the typical look of a person who was recently disturbed.
“I told you, I don’t want to!”
“You say that every morning. I’m going to make sure you at least try it.”
Kizumi walked into the hall, and paused to look at the three shinobi crouched in front of the door.
“What the heck are you guys doing?”
“SHH!”
The three pulled her down to join them, and they all pressed their ears back to the woodwork.
“Ah…! Gaara-sama!”
There was a slight pause, during which the shinobi looked at each other in the way most would if they were asking each other if they’d all heard the same thing.
“Mmm…”
“See? I told you.”
“It tastes amazing…”
Kankuro started shaking with silent hysterics, while the others looked as though they were going to be ill. They decided to take their chances, and opened the door.
Gaara stood beside Akara, who was chewing something. He wore the look of a person surprised. In his hand, he held a chocolate muffin.
Akara swallowed, and looked at everyone. Gaara set aside the muffin.
“What?”
The four shinobi stared fixedly at the other two. Akara blinked.
“What? It’s a muffin. Big whoop.”
Yeah...so now you know what goes through my head when I have way too much time on my hands. Review! (throws confetti)
