You will be happy to know that I have about half of chapter 3 already under way, so its just a matter of finishing that and having my editor read it. Once again, I am very, VERY sorry. :)
While you guys are waiting for another update, you could go check out my other stories called "Grrr" and "He Asked for It." If you like Emmett, "Grrr" is definently for you. :)
Thank you, once again, to Halo Chick for doing things for me. You are grand!

Disclaimer: I own nothing. Everything belongs to Stephenie Meyer and that brilliant mind of hers.
Bella's Point of View
Edward and I were sitting on the floor in his room. It was empty; we had packed everything up and were bringing it to Denali. We wouldn't need it, but neighbors of Tanya and her family would get suspicious if eight new people moved in and didn't bring any beds.
I snuggled closer to Edward's side and sighed. He looked down at me with a wondering look in his eyes.
"What are you thinking?" he asked.
"Just about the first time you took me here."
"Ahhh, yes. The first time I truly started feeling happy." I just smiled up at him, admiring his perfection.
"Ok, you two love birds, it's time to get going."
Emmett was standing in the doorway; a mocking smile spread across his face. Edward growled.
"Ok, Ok!" Emmett said, putting his hands up in the air. "But don't be too much longer, ok?" He backed out, and Edward sighed.
Suddenly, he perked up. He smiled one of his breathtaking smiles at me, and it was a good think I didn't have to breathe.
"Do you want to go to our meadow?" Internally, I felt myself rise.
"Of course. But won't Emmett be mad?"
"To hell with Emmett," he said, grabbing my hand and leading me out the door.
Once outside, he turned to me and grinned. I knew what he wanted me to do; I climbed on his back and rested my chin on his shoulder.
Though it didn't seem nearly as fast as it did when I was human, it still felt beyond wonderful. As I saw the trees pass by, my mind began to wander to the first time he took me to our meadow, me on his back, the wind rushing against my fragile skin. It seemed so long ago.
When we came to the edge of the meadow, Edward stopped and gently helped me down. I immediately wrapped my arms around his waist, resting my head on his chest. He held me, swaying back and forth, for so long. We didn't need to say anything-just being in each other's arms was enough to show our love to one another.
After a while, I grabbed his hand and we walked into the beautiful, open space that was our meadow.
Edward lay down on the slightly damp grass. I followed and laid my head down on his chest, using it as a pillow. His arm curled around my waist, pulling me closer. I sighed.
"What are you thinking?" he asked for the second time today as he ran his fingers through my hair.
"Always so curious," I said, but his eyes burned into mine, searching for an answer, so I went on. "I was thinking about firsts again. When you took me here that day, it was so peaceful. It's just like today." I looked up to find my favorite crooked smile painted on his face. I saw through his serene expression, and found that he looked like he needed to tell me something as well.
"And you?" I questioned, wondering what he was holding back.
"Same," he hesitated. "And I also wanted to ask you an important question."
My confused eyes were locked with his as he got up, taking me with him.
My breathing became unsteady as he slid down onto one knee. He reached into his right pocked and produced a small, dark blue box.
"Isabella Marie Swan, you are, and always will be, the only one that has ever touched my heart. I promise to never leave you again, and to love you more than everything in this world combined. Will you marry me?" He opened the case, revealing a small diamond ring coming out from the center of the cushions. He was breathing hard, his eyes anxious.
I stood still for one split second, my mind racing over what he had just said. Marriage. To Edward. For all eternity. My dormant heart began to swell with happiness as realized that he had really just said those wonderful words. Will you marry me?
After a moment of reassuring myself that this was all real, I came to life.
"Of course I will, Edward!" I cried as I fell into his arms. My hands rushed to his hair as his lips collided with mine. I had to keep reminding myself that this really was happening- that it wasn't just a long and exciting dream. I was really here, in Edward's arms, engaged.
Small droplets of rain started to fall from the sky. We pulled away from each other, and our foreheads met. I stared into his golden eyes, breathless.
"Thank you," he whispered.
I replied with a small, sweet kiss.
He looked down and swiftly retrieved the small box that he had dropped. Removing the ring with his right hand; his left hand found mine, and he gently slid the shimmering ring on my forth finger. My eyes widened as I took in the full beauty of it. The band was a soft silver, with little square diamonds all around it. The masterpiece on top was…stunning. It was it was oval-almost circle- with little princess cut diamonds sparkling in the soft light coming from the ounce of sunlight behind the clouds.
From the corner of my eye, I saw Edward looking at me anxiously, obviously awaiting my opinion.
"Edward, it's unbelievable."
He seemed to relax a little. "I'm glad you like it."
"Of course I do," I mumbled, marveling at its perfection.
He caressed my cheek, and I immediately shifted my attention from the ring to an even more gorgeous thing-Edward. I froze. The beauty in his face stunned me, and I couldn't move. All I could do was ever so slightly slide my eyes along every line of his face, studying it like never before. The shape of his jaw, the curve of his lips, his straight cheek bones, and his burning topaz eyes.
I began blinking, trying to shake off the stupor.
"I'm sorry," Edward began. "But we really should be getting back."
I smiled and stood up I hopped up on his back, and he ran through the trees.
I felt very buoyant as I leaped off Edward's back and skipped, my hand In Edward's, back to the garage. On the hood of the Volvo was a little piece of paper. Edward read the note aloud.
"You are so lucky I have my own car, you slow pokes." Edward and I giggled at Emmett's obvious anxiousness as we climbed in.
I looked back at the large, white house one last time just before it was hidden behind the trees, and then we were gone.
