4. Snow is White but Shadows are Dark

The snow is so white and cold. Everything is white.

Kanda knew that the snow was white and cold yesterday, but he wanted to make a huge snowman with his Moyashi-Chan. However, he knew that he couldn't play if he and Moyashi-Chan didn't have anything to eat.

But how was he supposed to find breakfast in this place?

First, Kanda thought that it's only a shade of pale in this place but then, he saw the Silver Fir forest in front of him.

Well, although he could see the forest he didn't know if they could eat them or not. He thought it was possible to eat the seeds, but then, he only hoped they had some seeds left in them at this time of year. Oh well, and could a human even eat the seeds of a Silver Fir?

Kanda looked pale like the snow before he heard the little voice of his Moyashi-Chan speak up.

"Kanda-nii-san, I'm hungry."

"The red-head said we must look for our own food."

"Can we leave him here and go back to the town? I think it's easy to look for food in town, but we can't find anything here... I hate that red-head."

Well now! Kanda thought his Moyashi-Chan was move clever than he, but where was the town?

"Moyashi-Chan, do you know the way back to the town?" Kanda asked although he thought Moyashi-Chan didn't know the answer.

His Moyashi-Chan didn't answer the question, only shook his head and looked at him with puppy dog eyes, and then, Kanda knew that he couldn't do anything. He had hoped he could find some birds here that he could kill for food, but there were no birds here.

Kanda didn't know what he could do, so he carried his Moyashi-Chan on his back and walked into the forest, hoping he would find something to eat. But he only found Silver Fir. He went deep in the forest, and after a half hour passed; he saw a large lake in the middle of the forest.

He hoped he could catch some fish in the lake but then he found that the water in the lake was a thick layer of ice.

Kanda thought he could cut the ice with Mugen and use Mugen to catch them some fish, so he asked his Moyashi-Chan to stay away and used six illusions on the frosty lake to cut the ice on the surface of the lake's waters.

He cut the ice. But then Kanda almost fell in the lake!

Kanda felt so stupid to not have realized that he cut the floor he stood on with Mugen as well. He didn't fall in and die in the icy lake because his Moyashi-Chan activated the innocence in his left hand just in time to catch him.

Kanda was glad that Moyashi-Chan was so strong and helped him survive, but he was upset that he couldn't help himself.

He tried to catch fish again but the water was too cold for his bare hands, so he used Mugen to catch the fish instead.

After 10 minuets, Kanda couldn't catch any fish. He was so angry that he decided to use six illusions on the fish in the lake.

Kanda was so proud that now he could catch many fish that floated on the lake. Then he thought about it. Mugen was his innocence and... well, he used Mugen to attack Akuma. Was the Akuma's poison still on Mugen? Could it have gotten on the fish he struck?

He looked at the fish and was glad to find that the fish didn't have any pentacles on them. That meant that the poison was not still on Mugen, but now Kanda didn't want to eat it.

He thought he should take these fish to make supper for the damn ass red-head named Cross Marian. But what were they supposed to eat now?

His Moyashi-Chan's stomach growled loudly, and Kanda was also hungry now.

Kanda didn't know what to do now until he heard his Moyashi-Chan say with a lovely voice, "Kanda-nii-san, why don't we leave this place?"

"Where're we going?" Kanda asked with sorrow in his voice. He had no idea where to go; he couldn't do anything for his Moyashi-Chan.

"I want to go home."

"Your home?"

Kanda's face turned very pale. He had never thought about this before. His Moyashi-Chan had a home to go back to?

Moyashi-Chan began crying, and told Kanda with a sorrowful voice, "I miss my home. Every time I got lost, the Millennium Earl would look for me and take me home. I wonder why he's so late this time. I want to go to my home. Or can't he see me clause I'm in the forest? I have to go away from this stupid forest."

Moyashi-Chan wanted to go home? But... hey! Moyashi-Chan said the Millennium Earl will look for him?

Kanda's eyes narrowed before he repeated the words out load in a serious voice. "The Millennium Earl..? Take you to your home?"

The reason that Kanda was an exorcist; the reason that Kanda became Tiedoll's pupil, was because Akuma killed his family.

He remembered that the Master of all Akuma was the one called the "Millennium Earl" and his teacher told him that the Millennium Earl was the creator that made all Akuma.

Kanda shook his head hard. Why did he think this? His Moyashi-Chan was an exorcist and couldn't be connected to the Millennium Earl: the boss of the enemy.

Kanda looked at Moyashi-Chan so seriously but his Moyashi-Chan didn't look at him; he only looked at the sky.

Before Kanda could ask anything else, he saw Moyashi-Chan's left eye change to a red color, and Kanda found there were a great deal of Akuma in the sky!

Kanda thought he needed to do something but then thought how he could he fought with the large group of Akuma. It was larger then any group that he had ever seen before!

In the middle of the army of Akuma, Kanda saw something strange. There was a fat man, or maybe not a man at all... the strange thing that looked like human and not, floated in the sky with a pink umbrella in its hand.

It landed on the ground softly then said with a happy voice with Moyashi-Chan

"Ahh, I found you Allen-Chan! We can go home now. I'm glad that filthy human didn't harm you. If anything happened I'd rather die."

Kanda's eyes opened wider with some feeling that he couldn't explain. It may be fear, anger or hatred, he didn't know.

He pulled his Moyashi-Chan closer to him, wanting to protect his brother, but his Moyashi-Chan pulled away from him and smiled at the fat thing. "Millennium Earl, please... I want to bring Kanda-nii-san with me."

Kanda saw his Moyashi-Chan look at it with his cute puppy dog eyes before it said, "Allen-Chan, I'll bring new Akuma to play with you, you don't need to play with filthy Exorcists, it's not good."

"I don't want any Akuma! You only played with Road and you left me alone!"

So his Moyashi-Chan knew the Millennium Earl, this fat thing was the Millennium earl: the enemy that killed all of his family. Moyashi-Chan knew the Millennium Earl and wanted to go back...

Kanda's eyes filled with hatred as he looked at the Millennium Earl. He wanted to kill that fatty Millennium Earl, but how could he do that?

Well, the Millennium Earl did not pay him any attention and only talked with Moyashi-Chan. "Ahhh! Allen-Chan, don't get so angry with me! You know that you are the one I love the most! I'm not leaving you again, Okay? I'll make a ton of food for you! And I'll give you a ton of candy... all the sweets that you like... especially Mitarashi dango!"

"I'm so hungry... I want it now!"

Kanda saw the Millennium Earl give Moyashi-Chan a lollipop. Before he realized that the Millennium Earl was close to him now, it smirked at him and said, "Exorcist? I must say I'm please to meet you. I'm the Millennium Earl."

Kanda wanted to kill the Earl, but he found that he couldn't move. He thought of how much he hated him, but he was to fearful of it. So much so that he couldn't move.

He thought he would die, until he saw a light, and the Millennium Earl was pushed away by a strong blast of power!

Kanda turned around and saw the red-head: Cross Marian behind him, with the gun in the strong hand.

Cross didn't look at him, instead he just said, "Do your job as his babysitter and run away with my tool now you stupid annoying brat!"
