Big Bang Theory

He can’t see her aim the pistol, but he knows the bullet’s coming. He’s waiting for where and when; he knows the why, and there is no if or but about it.

It could be his own skin he’s trying to save, but he instead he’s dialing for an old friend he was never on friendly terms with. He can see it brimming; all that passion, hatred repression, family depression.

She will burst; unpredictable as a force of nature - he never sought to control, only to understand. She’s a certain as a tornado, but not even the greatest weatherman could tell you where it’ll turn next.

His hand holds the phone instead of grasping for a lifeline outside this room glowing as her star burns brighter and hotter. He doesn’t see the bullet coming; he doesn’t know he has only microseconds left before he’s swallowed and incinerated in her explosion.

But he knows it will happen. He stays; his star is about to die and there’s no divine miracle or alien power that can change his fate. And when he goes out with a bang, it’s her supernova that knocks him down.
