Lucky day
By: Lavender Galux
Pairings: TrainxSaya
The morning was unbelievably wet and windy, the sun hidden by the dull, dreary clouds. The streets of the town were empty, though it was a Saturday. The rain pitter pattered on the sidewalk, the water rushing into the gutters.
It was silent and all you could hear was the sounds of the bins falling when as Saya ran down an alleyway, she ran through the alleyway, pushing down bins to slow down the person chasing her.
'So much for this being a good day! Darn it and this was supposed to be easy money!' She thought. Her bounty was catching up to her, laughing manically shouting, "Come here my pretty!"
'Damn! I choose a bad day to drop my gun! Darn it! This guy's going to kill me! I need help!' Saya thought pushing more bins and took a turn, apparently the wrong one because she ran towards a dead end. Saya frowned and thought, 'If I run now, I won't run into him!' But as she whirled around her bounty was there, blocking her way, still laughing manically.
Saya backed away until the back of her kimono brushed against the wall. 'I'm going to die!Noo! I'm too young to die!' She shut her eyes tightly when the sound of a gunshot was heard, she gasped. 'Someone shot me! I'm so shocked I can't even feel it yet! NOOO!'
She heard something or someone fall, she opened her eyes and stared. There stood a dirty-bond haired guy, in a black jacket, standing in front of her, his back towards her. She turned to the side a bit to see her bounty, on the ground, his blood all over the alley way floor.
Saya gasped. She normally didn't have to see that, she normally captured her bounty without using her gun to kill.
"You alright?" The guy asked, not turning around.
Saya nodded and said, "I'm fine…did…you kill him?"
"Hn, yeah," he said, putting his hands behind his head and in doing so, Saya saw his gun. A Cronos…
She hit him over the head with her hand and said, "You killed him? He was my bounty and I need food!"
"Ow, hey! Stop that! I saved your life and this is how you thank me?" He shouted back.
"Train, unlike you I need food!" Saya shouted still hitting him.
"Aw come on Saya!Ow hey, would you stop?"
She did and said, "Sorry, I haven't eaten in two days and I'm realllllyyyyy hungryyyyyyy."
"Hn, probably why you dropped your gun," He said, digging in his pocket and handing her, her pistol.
Saya felt her blood rush up towards her face and she shouted, her head going huge and her eyes going pupiless, "YOU KNEW I DROPPED MY GUN AND YOU DIDN'T HELP ME?" Train cowered and said meekly, "I thought you'd be able to handle him!"
Saya crossed her arms and said, "Hmpft!"
Train sighed and said, "If it helps…I'll buy you that mango pudding I still owe you." In a second Saya had jumped him and was now hugging onto him shouting in a sing-song voice, "THANK YOU TRAIN!"
The twosome where out of the alley and were walking towards a café nearby. It actually amazed Train that she was able to run so far without tripping, away from that clearly deranged man, especially when she was still wearing her white kimono and yet the ever so bubbly Saya still had enough energy to skip towards the café.
Train walked next to her, hands behind his head.
The two entered the café and were immediately greeted by Sven who was taking a smoke in a booth near the door.
"Hey, Train? Where'd you go last night? I tell you to look out the window to check if the rain stopped and suddenly you jump out as if the building was on fire, though I don't think Eve's cooking counts as a fire," Sven said looking at Train with a raised brow.
A blonde haired girl with pink eyes, holding what looked like a frying pan was standing behind Sven and in a swift movement she used the pan as a weapon, that gave Sven a very big booboo.
"OW! WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?" Sven asked, rubbing the back of his head painfully. Eve looked at him dully and said, "My cooking is not that bad and for saying it was I gave you a little reminder as to who the bio-weapon is."
"Hey, Princess, relax. Besides, your food is as burnt as…OW!"
Again Eve had inflicted pain, yes people, don't miss with a short blonde haired girl with a frying pan, because she will hurt you. Luckily for both Sven and Train, Eve had gone back towards the kitchen where she was watching Layla prepare food, because now Layla and the other kids, including Leon were now working and living in Train's small, quiet hometown.
Saya couldn't help, but laugh at Train and Sven's faces. They both looked like they had grown a smaller head, but luckily for Sven he had a hat to cover it with, but Train just had a very big booboo on his head for the entire world to see, and laugh at.
The two took a seat across from Sven who was nursing his head and trying to steal smokes from an old lady.
Train ordered food from that girl that worked as a waitress, though her name eluded him. "So, is this your girlfriend?" She asked gesturing towards Saya.
The two blinked, turned red and pretty much shouted, "NO!"
The waitress giggled and said, "Sure, okay then. So that's one mango pudding right?"
The two nodded, still red in the face. "Oh so you guys are sharing? Aw, that's so cute!" She said as she pranced towards the kitchen to tell Layla the orders.
Saya and Train said nothing to each other for awhile until she came back with the mango pudding and put it in between Train and Saya. "Enjoy!" She chirped and attended to a very fat looking man.
Saya cut a small piece only to notice that Train was just sitting there, staring blankly at the ceiling. "Aren't you going to have some?" She asked, taking a small piece of the pudding.
"Nah, I'm not hungry," he said, his eyes not leaving the ceiling.
Saya took another bite and said, "Yeah right."
Train's stomach growled, confirming that Train was indeed lying. Train sweat dropped, while Saya grinned and said, "Just take some…" Saya's sentence was cut off and Train looked at her. She was holding onto her throat and looked like she was gasping for air. "Uh Saya? What's the matter?" Train asked, confused as to why Saya stood up and started waving her arms around and gasping rather loudly.
Then finally everything made sense to Train. "She's choking!" He ran towards her and then performed the Harrick technique.
A couple of minutes of that and finally Saya spit out the mango piece. She coughed and said, "T-thanks, Train." He nodded, his hands sliding down to her waist. "That was a close one, note to self, listen to people when they say don't talk with your mouth full."
After leaving the café, Train agreed to talk a walk with Saya around the park. The clouds had cleared somewhat and Saya wanted to enjoy whatever time she had outside.
They walked towards the center fountain where the birds were. "Hey Saya, what is being romantic?" Train asked looking into the water to see his reflection.
Saya blinked and said, "Well romantic is when…I'm not really sure actually."
Train looked at the sky and asked, "Well then, what do you think would be romantic?"
She looked thoughtful and said, "Hmm getting kissed in the rain…"
Train became silent, but nonetheless he continued to walk.
The two decided to walk around the huge fountain because they both figured it would rain pretty soon. Saya was the one walking closest to the fountain and then she noticed something. "Oh a nickel!" She bent down only to lose her balance.
Luckily Train caught her by the waist but he too lost his balance and both of them fell into the shallow fountain, in a very…uhm…well…interesting position.
Saya was pretty much on top of Train, more or less and Train's arm was holding onto Saya's waist, but that's not the interesting part, no. It was the fact that her lips and Train's lips were connected.
They both separated, panting and staring at each other with wide eyes.
"When I said kissed in the rain, I didn't mean like this, but it will do," Saya said with a laugh. Train smirked and said, "You wanna fall again?"
Uhm how was it?
I know it sucked, but I was bored and it is my first time doing Black Cat, so forgive me for testing it out!
Uhm review?
