Artemis had seen many thing in his lifetime, he was prepared for just about anything and able to face it with outward calm. He was not prepared for a naked woman with flaming hair and wings and a black-haired man with pointed ears to walk into his office through a hole in reality. It was not the sort of thing that happened everyday, even when you associate with fairies on a regular basis. He managed to collect himself fairly quickly though and managed a respectable bluster.
"Who are you? How dare you barge into my office like this!" The woman laughed, and Artemis felt instinctive fear. If a house cat could laugh as it toyed with it's prey it would sound exactly like that.
"Isn't that cute Ravirn? He thinks he can intimidate us." She grinned, exposing pointed teeth. Rather a lot of pointed teeth.
"Ha ha. Can you do me a big favor and not make this one wet himself?" The man shook his head. Artemis swallowed then took a deep breath.
"You never answered my question." he glared at them as his hand crept towards the button that would summon Butler.
"Right. Sorry about that." The man met his eyes and Artemis nearly started at the sight of his pupils. Not only were they slit, like a cats, but they moved, they had color. "My names Ravirn and this is Tisiphone." Artemis nodded, he managed to push the button, now he just needed to wait.
"My name is Artemis Fowl, but really your names fail to answer my question as well." Tisiphone grinned.
"He's sharp." She sounded relieved. "I'm a Fury. You know from Greek-"
"I'm aware of the Furies yes, and honestly I'm inclined to take your word for it right now." He turned to face Ravirn. "And you are?"
"Complicated." He made a face. "I used to be just a part of the house of Fate, Lachesis is my many times great grandmother. However, a little while back I got mixed up with some unsavory characters, one thing led to another and all of a sudden I'm a minor chaos power, name of Raven." If they hadn't walked through a hole in reality to reach his office Artemis would have assumed they were crazy. As it was he assumed they were crazy, just less so. He saw the door swing gently open and Butler peek through. He made sure that nothing about his body language changed as Butler drew his weapon and pointed it at Ravirn.
"I see. So why exactly did you decide to barge into my office?" The conversation ended there as Butler pulled the trigger and Tsiphone, moving with blinding speed, blocked the bullet with one flaming wing spun around, grabbed Butler and threw him over the desk. She followed an instant later, her fingers transformed into shining claws.
"Naughty, naughty" she said waving one finger back and forth. "musn't shoot my boyfriend. I haven't broken him yet."
"Thanks Tisiphone." Ravirn leaned over the desk. Butler's flight had missed Artemis by inches and he was staring in awe at the woman who'd just managed to take his bodyguard down.
"See? He's just starting to learn manners too."
"Clearly not enough of them to explain what he's doing on private property." Artemis blinked, was he antagonizing them? That was not a smart move. Luckily, Ravirn just laughed.
"Your right, it's incredibly rude of me to simply walk in here but I'm not used to being the one doing the explaining"
