Chapter One A New Danger

It was such a relief to defeat MaloMyotismon. Both for the digimon and the Digidestined. And since there hadn’t been any evil in awhile a lot of romance was blooming. The Digidestined had all gotten together with couples as had the digimon.

Davis had gotten together with Anna after their battle with Magnadramon and Veemon had gotten together with a pretty digimon named Moonmon. TK and Kari had finally gotten together thanks to Tai otherwise TK would have been with Catherine as she had feelings for TK. Patamon and Gatomon had also gotten together after they realized they belonged together.

Cody had a friend who he always said that wasn’t more then friendship and that he was too young to be dating but everyone knew he liked Jeri one of the newer digidestined more then just a friend. Armadillamon was with Foximon Jeri’s digimon.

Ken and Yolei were together as well as Hawkmon and another digimon Calumon who was a pretty digimon who had joined forces with the Digidestined to help them out. She was friends with Gabumon’s sister, Renee. Gabumon had found out about a month ago that he had a sister, a Renamon that was abandoned by her family and taken into Gabumon’s. Renamon preferred to be called Renee.

Even though Gabumon had only recently found out that Renee was his baby sister the two siblings were as close as Tai and Kari. Tai had gotten over Sora when he fell in love with the now one of the newer Digidestined Serena. Agumon was with Lunamon, Serena’s digimon.

Izzy was with a computer genius like himself Amy. Amy wasn’t a Digidestined but she and Izzy had become friends when Amy moved to America and joined Izzy’s computer class. Tentomon, unfortunately was still single.

Matt was with Sora, and Gabumon was with Biyomon. Sora had liked Matt for awhile but Tai had liked her as well and she wasn’t sure if Matt liked her so she didn’t say anything for awhile. When it came to Valentine’s Day Matt had sent her an ‘I love you’ card and they had got together after that.

Gabumon and Biyomon became really close during the time the Digidestined were away. They were linked as one just like Patamon and Gatomon. While the Digidestined were at peace in the digital world there was trouble brewing in the digital world there was a new evil a powerful being formed. An evil that was more powerful then what the Digidestined were in for.

Renee was worried about Gabumon. She had a feeling he was in danger. She knew who she could see. Matt. Matt and TK’s parents were back together so she’d get to see TK as well. Renee as fast as she could got herself to a TV and transported herself to the Real World.

Matt and TK were in their bedroom talking. “So how’s things with Sora going?” TK asked making conversation. “Great what about you and Kari?” Matt replied. “Kari’s the best thing that ever happened to me.” TK said sighing and Matt smirked. His brother was so head over heels in love with Tai’s baby sister.

A knock on the bedroom door made Matt snap out of his thoughts and he was surprised when he saw that it was his digimon’s sister. “Renee?” Matt asked surprised and TK stood up whose face looked surprised as well. “Your mother let me in.” Renee said softly and Matt smiled and gave her a little hug.

“Come sit down Renee how are you?” TK asked kindly and Renee smiled. “I’m okay I’m really worried about my brother.” Renee told them. Matt was immediately alert. “Is Gabumon okay?” he asked worried for his friend’s well-being. Whenever Renee was worried everyone knew it had to be something big.

“I don’t know I hope so. He won’t talk to me anymore. Or anyone. He disappears for a couple of nights he is exhausted and has red scratch marks everywhere. I ask him if he’s ok and he just tells me to mind my own business.” Renee explained and Matt frowned and thought that wasn’t like his digimon.

Meanwhile in the digital world Patamon and Gatomon were trying to get Gabumon to talk. Despite them being a couple and loving each other the two of them fiercely loyal to their friends. “Please just leave me.” Gabumon pleaded and Patamon went and sat on his head. “You’re crazy if you think Gatomon and I are going to leave you in this condition. So the sooner you talk the sooner we’ll get going.” Patamon said firmly in a voice that booked no arguments.

Gabumon sighed. Why couldn’t they just leave him alone? “Gabumon!” a voice cried out. Patamon, Gatomon and Gabumon turned to see Matt, TK and the other Digidestined coming towards them. “TK!” Patamon cried happily at the same time as Gatomon who cried “Kari!”. Both the digimon ran up to their partners, happy to see them again.

“Hey there Gatomon looks you did find someone after Wizardmon huh?” Kari asked teasingly and Gatomon blushed. “I never thought I would fall in love with anyone after Wizardmon. But Patamon makes me feel so good. I love him so much I never thought I’d be able to say that again.” Gatomon explained and Kari smiled happy for her partner.

TK smiled at Patamon. “Congratulations buddy.” He said and Patamon smiled and hugged Gatomon. They then turned their attention to Gabumon again who was starting to talk softly. “I was coming back here when he confronted he started attacking me. He said if I told anyone and didn’t go there every fortnight he would kill all those that I love.” Gabumon said as tears ran down his eyes.

Matt hugged his friend then turned to the other Digidestined. “Any idea on who it could be?” Matt asked the newer Digidestined who all looked as lost as him. TK came down to Gabumon’s level. “Do you remember what he looked like?” he asked and Gabumon nodded. “He looked like Kari but male version.” Gabumon said and Gatomon giggled imagining her partner as a guy.

Patamon nudged Gatomon reminding her that the situation was serious and she stopped giggling. Kari glared at Gatomon a little then turned back to the others. TK was thinking deeply. He didn’t remember anyone like that? Must be some new evil trying to take over the digital world TK thought.
