KINGDOM HEARTS III “Eclipse of the Heart”
Disclaimer: God dammit...I don't freakin' own Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy or anythin like that...I do, however, own this plot and some of the OC characters.
A/N: This is hard! I'm trying to write a story with characters from a game that hasn't even been released in it!! Ah well, I applaud the two writers working on FF XIII stories!! All I'm doing is throwing them in there...hahaha...ah well, well thanks for reviewing and enjoy chapter 3 of Eclipse of the Heart

Chapter 3 “It is I Who Stand Above the Heavens and God”
“Sir…who is it that you sent Van to kill?” A small voice questioned quietly.
Prince smiled. “Rufus will be pleased…Almasy…do you care to join Van? You should know who I’m attempting to kill.”
A blonde grinned wickedly and picked up his weapon. “Of course I know Prince…I’m on my way…”
“He won’t be happy to see you, y’know?” A brute laughed.
“Sir…really…who is it?”
Prince smiled and folded his hands together, giving him a place to rest his chin. “Hanna, don’t worry…it was only a little maggot that was causing some trouble. He seems to know too much.”
Hanna blinked and looked over at the tan brute who was waving at the blonde walking out the door. “Do you know, Rai?”
Rai grinned and nodded. “You bet…but the Boss is gonna win…y’know?”
Hanna shuttered slightly. “Oh God…Prince…what’s this all about,” the SOLDIER 1st Class questioned.
Prince’s eyes turned from a dark cerulean blue to a deep crimson red. “I’ll tell you when Lightning and Mika get here…patience is a virtue Hanna.”
“You’re getting excited, are you going out on a killing spree, Prince?”
Prince’s crimson red eyes looked away from Hanna and to the door. “Ah, Lightning…is Mika with you?”
Lightning nodded. “Yes, I dragged her along. She says that she has no business with you.”
The prince smiled. “Mika, Rufus and I have a contract, right now; you’re my subordinate…hence why Hanna is here.”
Mika huffed in pure annoyance and reluctantly sat down. “Fine, now what’s going on? I have a date tonight I wish to get there on time.”
Prince laughed bitterly. “All right…listen closely…”

“How’s Cloud feeling this morning, Zack?” Tifa looked at the ex-HONOURARY Guard Member with concern and question evident in her deep burgundy-amber eyes.
Zack sighed. “He isn’t up, so I don’t really know. To me, though, he looked peaceful enough…so I’m assuming that he’s feeling pretty good…or he’s just really damn good at hiding pain.”
“He is a complete enigma!” Tifa laughed lightly, her legendary smile appearing on her lips.
Zack grinned and nodded. “Hey, I haven’t seen that gorgeous smile in forever…what’s the occasion? I think you should save it for Cloud.”
Tifa stopped laughing abruptly. “Well…he’s not up.” She muttered quietly. Tifa started playing with her fingers.
Aerith and Kairi glanced over and then went back to their conversation.
“Uhm, sorry Tifa, I’m sure Cloud’ll wake up pretty soon…no need to worry, he’s strong and you and I know that better than anyone…besides maybe Mika and his own parents.” Zack laughed at his own mistake and then gave Tifa a grin and the thumbs-up sign. “Right, so don’t be so freaking pessimistic…it makes Squall seem happy-go-lucky and Vincent like he’s on marijuana.”
Tifa burst into hysterical fits of laughter at Zack’s comparison. “My God Zack that was good!” she laughed. Tifa quickly brought her hand to her eyes to wipe away the forming tears. “You got me laughing so hard that I’m crying!” Tifa guffawed. She grinned, still laughing hysterically.
Aerith and Kairi grinned over at the two. “Did you ever think about becoming a comedian Zack, because I think you’d be very good at it.” Aerith laughed.
Kairi nodded, laughing along with Aerith and Tifa. “Yeah, I swear if Leon or Vincent heard that…they would have killed you by now!” She laughed.
Zack grinned and nodded. “Yeah, but unlucky for me…” Zack was cut off by his own laughing. “I can’t even finish a sentence!” he grinned, stumbling over his words from laughing so hard.
“And what’s so funny?” A disembodied voice from the left questioned.
The dark haired martial-artist looked over and grinned at the gun-blade master. “Well, Squall, Zack just made a really funny joke. It was hysterical.” She said, finally getting control of her laughter.
Squall quirked an eyebrow at the group and then shook his head. “How many times do I have to tell you guys that it’s Leon, not Squall.”
Tifa smiled gently at the SeeD commander. “Sorry about that Leon, it’s just a habit, y’know?”
Leon cringed at the last word in Tifa’s apology. “Thanks for the apology, but why did you have to use that last word…everyone uses it…I think they just wanna see me cringe or something.”
Tifa blinked, completely confused on what she had said to make the SeeD commander, so brave and strong, cringe. “What did I say?” She asked, her wine coloured eyes darting around the room to see who would give her a decent answer.
The SeeD commander just shook his head. “Just fold, Tifa.” He said with a humored laugh.
The young martial-artist pouted slightly. “Fine, fine,” she grumbled under her breath, earning a quick smirk from the gun-blade wielder, who still stood in the door way.
“Zack has a lead, Squall.”
Squall tensed up slightly and spun around on his heels to see who was talking to him. “What—oh, Cloud.”
The blonde ‘tched’ slightly, “Do you even know what the lead is on, Squall?”
The brunette shook his head. “No, what is it about, Cloud.” He asked, curiosity showing in his ice blue eyes.
“Rinoa.” Was all Cloud had to say before the brunette jumped the gun on him completely.
“Rinoa?! What about her?! What did Zack find out?!” Squall demanded, his voice filled with hope and just a bit raspy.
Cloud shook his head. “Just a lead, Squall, nothing major…sorry if I made you jump to conclusions,” the blonde mumbled quietly.
The commander huffed in disappointment and leaned against the doorframe once again. “Ah, well…I’m sure she’s safe…”
“No, you more of ‘hope’ she’s safe.” Cloud stated simply, oblivious to how cold-hearted his words came out as.
Squall visibly flinched at the sound of the Ex-SOLDIER’s cold, words, though he knew he was right. Cloud had a lot of experience when it came to this, after all, he still didn’t know where his own sister was, and even if she was remotely safe. Though, Squall really did wonder where Zack’s lead was to…he was curious and of course, he wanted to see his beloved Rinoa, safe and sound. “And it’s Leon, Cloud, you know that.” He quietly stated, no hope left in his voice.
Cloud shrugged it off. “Yeah, yeah, I know, but Squall was your birth name and that’s what I’m going to call you…weather you like it or not, so just deal with it.” The blonde ex-HONOURARY Guard Member grabbed Leon’s shoulder and pulled him toward him, close enough so he could whisper something in his ear. “Meet me at the Gummi Hanger, I’ll explain everything there…how ‘bout around 12:30? Keep quiet and bring your gun-blade…you’re going to need it.” The blonde whispered in the most hushed don’t-tell-anyone voice he had ever heard.
The steel blue eyed commander nodded at the Mako blue eyed blonde. “Yeah…” he muttered.
“And stay quiet, you got it?” Cloud hissed.
Leon quickly nodded, knowing full well that if he didn’t Cloud would have his head over his dinning room table, enjoying Sangria and eating a filet mignon under his own head, even though the blonde wasn’t even twenty-one.
Cloud smiled maliciously, and gently patted Squall on the back. “Good, then at 12:30,” he said softly as he exited the room.
“Cloud,” Tifa called to her “secret” lover.
The blonde turned around and gave Tifa a faint smile. “Yes, Teefy is something wrong?” he inquired.
“How are you feeling?” She asked concern obvious in her light, airy voice.
Cloud gave Tifa his rare, signature, genuine smile. “I’m fine, don’t worry about me.” And with that the blonde gave Squall a quick ‘don’t forget’ look and disappeared through the doorframe, leaving so he could go back to the comfort of his own bed.
!!
12:30 came very quickly for the brunette. He awoke at the sound of his alarm beeping annoyingly in his ear at about 12:15. Yawning, the commander persuaded himself that Cloud was doing him a favor and he should go and meet him at the Gummi Hanger. Squall finally pushed himself out of bed and trudged over to his dresser, pulling out his signature outfit…his black jeans, belts, thigh guards, arm guards, gloves and white tee-shirt. He then trudged, even more slowly to his closet and pulled out his original bomber jacket. Squall quickly dressed and rushed down to the Gummi Hanger, adrenaline taking over now.
As he pushed open the doors, Squall noticed Cloud concentrating on maps and papers in front of him. “What are you doing?” The sleepy brunette inquired, slowly walking over to Cloud and peering over the blonde’s shoulder.
Cloud glared up at Squall, agitated at his entrance and the fact that he was peering over his shoulder. “A. I’m doing some algorithms for the flight and B…you don’t have your shoes on. Were you that tired?”
Squall made a quick face at Cloud and then turned for the door. “I’ll be back in a minute…don’t leave without me…ok?”
Cloud merely nodded and went back to his work. Of course he wouldn’t leave without Squall. A minute passed quickly and Cloud finally heard Squall’s footsteps…this time with his regular boots on them. “Ah, so he returns with shoes on.” The blonde teased in Leon’s general direction. “Are you ready? We’re going to meet Zack at a place called The Dark Rose…you sure you wanna go?” he asked.
Squall nodded. “Yeah…anything for Rinoa…”
A smirk pushed its way to Cloud’s lips. “Good…that’s exactly what I wanted to hear…so lets get going then, take the maps.”
And with that said, the duo departed, secretly and quietly from Hollow Bastion.
A/N: THE END! No, I’m kidding. I’ll get chapter four up as fast as possible. I just realized that this is my favourite chapter so far. :3 thanks for reviewing!
