A/N: I'm so sorry that it took me this long to update and I'm so sorry to keep my readers hanging at a cliff hanger. I hope you like this chapter as much as I have written it. Let's get on with the show.

Summary: Dearka has gone missing on one of his mission. Miriallia has found out about these 3 months later, when Kira and Lacus come to Orb. How will Miriallia handle this news? Who is this blond hair man that looks exactly like him and also has the same surname as Dearka does? And why is Miriallia's name on the top five, must killed, list? Is there another reason behind the list that Dearka had found on his last mission?

Since the accident happen a week ago, the local policemen have went on extra patrolling around the city to confirm that there are no terrorist around the Mexico City. The police had also reassured the citizen that the little bombing accident was only a little mishap that Lowe and the Junkies had caused due to their little error in calculation.

But thanks to this little mishap, Liam had managed to find someone that may lead them to the information that they are looking for. Lowe and Liam had made several contacts with this unnamed person to get more details about the new plantation of the Ultramarine Flower. But the information that they have gathered so far was not cheap. They have a list of price that either Kira or Athrun is going to pay the next time they meet.

And today, their intelligence person is going to get them some solid proof about the factory that's replanting the Ultramarine Flower. And this is also their last time that they will be having any contact with him as well.

"So you are saying that this mystery group of assassin is going after Miriallia's life because of some photos?" Kisato asked.

Lowe nodded as his answer.

Kisato tilted her head and asked, "Why Miriallia? I doubt that she has the photo that they are looking for".

Lowe and the Professor sigh in defeat at how dumb Kisato can be.

"Have you even been paying attention at what I'm saying Kisato?" Lowe asked. Kisato shook her head. The brunette sighs and said, "Do you remember that Miriallia had show us her first batch of photos she take when she first join the Co and Ed magazine company?" Kisato nodded. "And do you remember that I've mention that there is something strange with some of the photos?"

Kisato nod again and this time, lights had shed on the blond. "So you are saying that those strange pictures that Miriallia is holding are the things that they are looking for?" she asked.

"Finally, our blondie has catch up to our conversation", the Professor teased. Kisato pumped up her face to show that she's angry. The Professor smirked at her reaction and said, "But can we really proof that those are the photos they needed? Or is there something else?"

"We are not that sure. We will confirm our conclusion when Liam comes back", Lowe said.

"And speak of the Devil, the Devil appears", Glenn, ReHOME's holographic commander, said.

The group's attention turn to the entrance of the control room as the door slides opened. Liam walked through that door and said, "Are you guys talking about me just a moment ago?"

"Yes we are!" The Professor said without hesitation. "So, did you get the package Liam?"

Liam looks at the group that has a serious look on their face and nodded. He took out the package from under his coat and shows it to the group. He took his seat besides Lowe before he opened the package and took out a bunch of photos. He then laid them on the table so that everyone could see it.

The group, especially Lowe, was shocked when they saw the population of the Ultramarine flower that was supposed to be extinct. "Well, I guess that concludes our first assumption", he said and everyone look at him. "We now know that someone had managed to resurrect the Fable Ultramarine Flower from its eternal slumber".

"And using it to make dangerous drugs", Liam said. Everyone look at him with a puzzled look. "Take a look at this".

He took out a few photos that show the laboratory. It was not just any laboratory, but the laboratory that the Blue Cosmos had used to create the Extenders.

"Are this the present or the past Liam?" the Professor asked when she saw the laboratory.

Liam looks at her and answered, "It's the present laboratory". Lowe and Kisato were shocked. "It seems that the scientist had not abandoned their project in creating the perfect fighting machine even though the wars had ended".

"Haven't they abandon their laboratory when the ZAFT went to check on them in the past?" Lowe asked.

"They did abandon the laboratory but they did not abandon their project", the coordinator replies. Lowe gave his a puzzled and angry look at the same time. "I know what you are thinking and I have the answer to your question. When the scientist abandons their previous laboratory, they were abandoned by the Blue Cosmos and the LOGOS. But is seems that they have found a new sponsor to sponsor their project with a much more lethal drug".

"Then, do you have the name of the drug or their sponsor's information? Did the guys spill any beans at all?" the brunette asked as hope was building up in him.

"Yes and no!" Liam answered, and Lowe's smile quickly turns into a frown. "I do not have any inside information of the new drug. But I do have the name of their sponsors". The group looks at him with a hopeful look, all except the Professor. "It's a secret association called the Co and Ed"

It has been a month since Dearka's MIA after the explosion of the Mendel Colony. The Supreme Council had suggested placing Dearka Elsman as KIA since there was nothing left to search at the destroyed colony.

But with Lacus's persuasion and Yzak's stubbornness, the Supreme Council had given the silver hair commander and his team three months to conduct a search for the missing blond captain. But so far, the other councilmen and councilwomen had not received any positive result to this search. They have had meeting in the past to call off this search but with Yzak's and Lacus's strong stand, the council could do nothing to oppose the search from continuing. And soon Councilwoman Eileen Canaver and some other councilmen had joined in their party in agreeing to the search for the Dearka Elsman.

Another week had passed by and today the Supreme Council had called up another meeting regarding the search of the missing blond captain. Lacus, Yzak and also the supporting council had once again won the meeting. But they do not know how long they could hold up since time is not at their side.

The double door of the meeting room slides opened and the councilors came walking out while talking to each other. Yzak and Lacus were the last to came walking out from the meeting room when the double door closed together.

Yzak sigh. "How much time do you think we have left before the three months period is up?" he asked.

"I would have to say roughly less than a month and a half", Lacus replies. "Do you think we can ask them for some extension?" she asked.

Yzak look at her with a surprised look and saw that she had a smile on her face. Then he realizes that she was trying to cheer him up. He sighs once again and said, "This is not an assignment given by the professor Lacus. And I appreciate you for cheering me up as well".

"Well, at least one of my tactics works" she laughed.

Yzak smiled and said, "Thank you!"

"Hmm! The always cool and cold hearted commander Joule actually smiles for once", the pink hair coordinator teased.

Yzak blush ten shades. "Wh-Wh-Wh-What are yo-you talking about? I don't know what you are talking about", he said, stumbling at his words.

"It seems that something marvelous had happened in there", a voice said from behind them. Lacus just know who that voice belongs to as she quickly turn around and gave the brunette a hug. "It's nice to see you too Lacus, Yzak. So what did I miss?"

"Nothing in particular", Yzak said in an annoyed tone. "Since you are here Yamato, I'll be taking my leave then. I still have to my ship's and my crew's needs".

"Wait Yzak!" Kira called, just before the silver hair commander wanted to leave. He turned around to face him with a puzzled look. "Do you have a minute? There's something you and Lacus needs to know. It's about … his safety in the Earth".

Yzak and lacus exchanged a few curious look before they nodded.

"Let's go to the Elappella Café. I can get a private room so we can speak in private", Yzak suggested.

Both Kira and Lacus nodded as they followed Yzak into his car.

The Elappella café's owner was an old friend to Yzak and he had always visited that café when he need some quite time. The Elappella cafe was just a few minutes of drive from the meeting hall.

The bell, which was hanging by the door, rang when it opened. "Welcome to the Elappella Café. How may I help…" the bartender trailed off when he saw Yzak, Kira and Lacus walked in. "The usual Commander?" Yzak nodded. "Then what will your … companions have then?" he asked, as he looks at Kira and Lacus.

Yzak turned to look at them and said, "We just need a place to talk".

"Understood! Please follow me then", James said and show them their way into the private room that their silver hair friend always used on his visit to the café. James excused himself and closes the door as he exit the room.

The room is furnished with some attach to walls couches and a rounded table in the middle of the room. There was a hi-fi set and a large LCD television, where Yzak would always used if he wishes to hear some soothing music. But today, it was remain switched off because he is not alone and he is not here to hear some soothing music.

"So, what is it that you need to speak in private Yamato?" Yzak asked.

Kira placed his laptop on the table in front of them and turned it on. "I'm sure you still remember the Junkies that had save Dearka's life", he said.

"How could I forget that brunette Natural and the long hair Coordinator", Yzak said, as he crossed his arms on his chest. "I hope you didn't call me here to see some of the ridicules photos of him and his companions"

"Well, not quite. I have asked them for some help in gathering some information about the group that was gathering at the Mendel Colony before Dearka's incident and it seems that they have found some rather disturbing news", Kira said. He shows them the letter and photos that Lowe had sent him earlier today. "Take a look at the things that they have found".

Kira Yamato,

I have gathered some information that you were looking for but they were not pretty like I thought they were. Just like you have presumed, someone had managed to bring the Fable Ultramarine flower back to life and it's using its juice to develop some lethal drug. It seems that someone is planning to develop some more Extenders for some illegal benefits. I'm not sure who these people are at the moment but I will try my best to dig out some more information. Here are some pictures that I have gathered and the laboratory's facilities. Oh and lastly, keep an eye on Dearka and Miriallia's safety. There's someone out there that wanted both of them dead for some reason. Well, that's all I can give for now. I'll contact you as soon as I find something new.

Lowe Gear

Both Lacus and Yzak gasped when they finished the letter. They were even more shocked when they saw the pictures of the flower field, the facilities and the corpse that were used as guinea pigs.

But the most shocking bit was not all those. Someone is out to get Dearka's and Miriallia's life for some reason that they do not know of and what are they still doing sitting here.

"What are we still doing here for?" Yzak practically shouted, as he slammed both his hand on the table. Thank god that the room that they are in is sound proof so they do not need to worry that someone out there might hear what them. "We need to get down there now and tell Zala about this so he could take some action about it"

"And you wish to come along as well?" Kira asked, matter-of-factly.

"Of course I'm coming along. Dearka was once my subordinators, my best friend in fact. I have to go and-"

"No Yzak!" Lacus cut Yzak off before he could finish.

Yzak look at her with a surprised look. "N-No? What do you mean no. Dearka is in trouble down there and if we do not bring him back before the deadline, he will be listed as KIA and would not be able to return if he wants to. Would you be able to tell him that?"

"Then would you rather see Dearka being used as a toy by the Supreme Council?" Lacus asked. Yzak flinched when he heard her question. "Think about Dearka situation Yzak. He had not recovered all of his memories yet and if we bring him back right now, he would sure be asked for questioning about the explosion of the Mendel Colony. What will he answered when he could not remember what happen back then?" she asked.

Yzak Joule - the survivor of the first and second Bloody Valentine war, the always cool headed commander of the Voltaire and the Rousseur - lost his cool for the first time. The silver hair coordinator slumped back down onto his seat, rest both his elbow on his knee and his temples on his hands.

"Then… what do you expect me to do?" he asked.

"I need you to stay here and try to convince the councilors to hold up their time", Lacus said. Yzak looked up with a depressed look and met her serious look. "I'm sure the council will try their best to place Dearka as KIA once I'm gone so I want you and Councilwoman Eileen Canaver to keep pushing the other council until the deadline".

"I understand what I must do here", Yzak said. "But what excuse will you use to visit the Earth? The council will go crazy if you do not present them the right material before you leave".

Lacus gave Yzak a warm smile. "I'll just ask Cagalli to do me a favor. Can you contact her as soon as possible Kira?" she asked and looks at the brown hair coordinator.

"I'll try but I'm sure she won't be very happy to hear from me so soon though", he answered. Then he turns his gaze to his silver hair friend and said, "Don't worry Yzak. Athrun and I promised you that we will protect Dearka and Miriallia no matter what happens".

Yzak nodded and mouth a silent thank you to the brunette.

"Ian, I need a copy of these documents. Can you please prepare them before the end of your shift today?" Athrun asked.

Ian Stagfield used to be an ace pilot for the ZAFT but he had resigned his post due to his parent's need to relocate to Orb. Ian was sad and lost when he first arrive at Orb but after meeting his former soldiers and commander, Athrun Zala, his life when on a new turn.

Athrun, who was an admiral rank in the Orb navy fleet, had asked him to join his team and also assist him in training some rookies in the academy. Ian did not think twice and quickly gave Athrun the answer the following day. And that's how they end up as of today. With no more wars around, Ian had been demoted, through his point of view, an office clerk and a professor if he was ever need.

"I'll try my best to compile them Admiral Zala" he said. Ian came into his office earlier today for his signatures to some of the documents of the Morgenroete's supplies and mechanics' need. He took the documents from his admiral's hand. "Is there anything else Admiral?" he asked.

Athrun sigh when he heard the formality in his friend's tone. "Didn't I told you to skip the formalities when we are alone?" he asked.

"Sorry Athrun. I guess I just could not get use to doing office work", Ian replied. "If I had known what was install for me here I would have just applied a job at the garage instead".

"But you did not after you had set eyes on her did you", Athrun teased.

At the mention of his girlfriend, Ian's face began to heat up. "Get off my case, will you? And what about your relationship with the Head Representative Attha? It seems that you have yet to be accepted by the Senates until today" he said.

The blue hair coordinator sigh and Ian just sweat drop seeing his expression. "I guess you are right. Then do you have any good ideas to how I can impress the senate's like you impressed her parents?" he asked with a sly smile.

"Athrun please!" Ian said, as his face was as red as a tomato.

Athrun laughed. "Alright! I'll get off your case then. You can leave once you finished with the copies Ian", he said.

"You mean it?" he asked, with a hopeful smile on his face.

"You have a date with her tonight, weren't you? So you need to get ready" his admiral replies.

"Thank you Athrun! Thank you!" Ian said. He was about to hug him but Athrun spare him to that. They had wanted to continue with their conversation but Athrun's cell began to rang had stop them from continuing. "I'll take my leave then Athrun. I'll hand you those copies before I leave later on" Ian gave him a bow and then turned around and headed to the door.

The blue hair admiral answered his cell once he confirmed the door was firmly closed. "Athrun Zala speaking"

"Hey, Athrun! How are you doing back at Orb?" Kira asked from the other side of the line.

"Quite busy since you left Kira. So what's the news for calling me today my friend?" he asked.

Silent had fall between them before Kira spoke again. "Did you receive my message earlier?" he asked in a serious tone.

Earlier that day, Athrun had received an e-mail from Kira through their personal line. He was puzzled at first until he noticed that it was a 'forward' mail. The real sender was not Kira but Lowe Gear, the person Kira had asked to help them with their search of the Ultramarine Flower incident. Athrun quickly unlocked the mailed and began to read the content. He did not like what was written in the content one bit.

"Yes I did and I did not like what I see. Are those for real? The population are way bigger than we had expected", Athrun said, in a disbelief tone.

"I know. But nonetheless, those are still weeds. To get rid of them will be an easy task after we have managed to locate the whereabouts of the green house", Kira said.

Athrun could senses that something was not right in his childhood friend's tone. "And the disposing of those weeds were not on your worried list, isn't it Kira?" he asked.

"…"

Athrun sigh. "Whatever you need I'm sure she's not going to like it", he asked.

Kira chuckled from the other side of the line. "I know what you mean. That's why I called you for the request rather than calling her".

"I'll get the request done as soon as I can. Be ready to receive it at anytime alright", Athrun said. "Take care and I'll see you soon", he said and turns off his cell. "I'm going to get one heck of scolding tonight".
