A/N: So I've wanted to write a vampire fic for like three years. When I went to visit FastForward like in September of... 2007(?) and we went to AnimeEvolution, I wrote out an entire outline for a potential fic on the program (still have it actually). I was watching SYTYCD this summer and heard the song "Eyes On Fire," so I just put the song on repeat and came up with this little thing. Which, while it's complete on its own... it's not worth much, I guess, and I'm embarrassed cuz it's a song that's apparently on the Twilight Soundtrack. No, not a fan of Twilight for the record. But I do like this song. Give it a listen. Band is Blue Foundation.
The room was eerily dark, couples were mutable shadows, a song with a beat like liquid fire played in the background. The air smelt of burning candlewax. They clung to each other like immovable forces. Pulled apart and pushed together at the same time. The beating of their hearts seemed to move in sync, calling out to one another in the only way they could. Each fighting to tear through ribs, muscle, and bone in order to touch. A tongue traced the skin just above his collarbone, nipping. They held each other tightly, dancing in a small circle. Naruto’s chin pressed into Sasuke’s shoulder. He could feel the hair tickling across his collarbone. Hot breath that slipped between a parted mouth, sharp teeth that grazed along the base of his throat, teasing him. Naruto’s hand slid from the small of Sasuke’s back to glide along his spine, pausing to tangle in his hair. The song went on for what felt like forever. Naruto bit down on his lip as the teeth sunk in deeper. Not enough to draw blood, but it was like a request from Sasuke: I want this. Do you want this? Naruto nodded, his hand tracing downward along Sasuke’s back again, finding home in a jean pocket. Sasuke hissed as Naruto tilted his head to the side but rested his chin on Sasuke’s shoulder, eyes casually roving over the ones who stared out from the darkness. Those watching from the tables, the loveseats, the chairs. He didn’t care who watched. Neither of them did. He squeezed Sasuke closer as he felt the teeth sink into his throat. Naruto sighed out of contentment. He could feel the lift of Sasuke’s lip against his stinging skin.
“What are you smirking for?” Naruto whispered into the other man’s shirt, wearing a smirk of his own as he nuzzled against the scent of Sasuke’s subtle cologne.
“I like when you let me do this while they’re watching,” Sasuke said silkily, lifting his head as he lapped at the blood oozing from the two puncture wounds.
They kept moving, a continuous, slow-moving dance. Candles glowed dully from the tables where the small crowd silently watched.
“Even if I said no, it wouldn’t stop you,” Naruto mouthed into Sasuke’s shirt, knowing anyone could hear them if they chose to. “Besides,” he said, raising his head and meeting Sasuke’s glazed eyes, “I can wait for my turn."
Sasuke grunted and smirked. Naruto’s gaze dropped to the other man’s mouth, the exposed fangs tainted a ruby red. Naruto could smell his own blood on Sasuke’s lips. He leaned in, closing the distance, and licked Sasuke’s bottom lip. Sasuke’s eyes shut, a small, lustful gasp being sucked out of him as Naruto brought their mouths together, tongue searching out any traces of blood that lingered. Sasuke curled his fingers around the base of Naruto’s neck, fingers running through the hair at the back of his head. They kissed more fiercely, clinging to one another, parting only to bite at each other’s lips, breathing out sighs intermittently.
“You always taste so good,” Sasuke breathed, lowering his head to kiss right under Naruto’s jaw. Naruto chuckled into Sasuke’s hair.
“Likewise,” Naruto commented, grasping a hold of some of Sasuke’s hair and tugging it harshly. He didn’t give Sasuke much time to react before he sunk his own teeth into Sasuke’s neck with little preparation. Sasuke groaned as the teeth slipped all the way through, rough and quick like Naruto knew he enjoyed. Sasuke’s blood was always so hot. Hotter than any blood Naruto had tasted. It was almost scalding, like boiling water as it gushed into his mouth and on his tongue, then down his throat, warming his belly.
Sasuke writhed, skewering himself further upon the teeth. Naruto reached up and held the side of Sasuke’s face, tilting the other man’s head so he could sink his fangs in deeper, licking at the bleeding wounds with relish as Sasuke’s fingernails began to dig into his back. Naruto didn’t know when the hand had slipped under his shirt. He closed his eyes as he tasted Sasuke. Colors began to appear behind his shut eyelids. He felt warm and dizzy as he drank, wondering at the fact he was taking the blood back he’d just given Sasuke. After what felt like forever, dreamy music still wafting like smoke, Naruto retracted his fangs. He felt full and lethargic as they swept across the floor in another circle. No longer dancing really. Just hips swaying on beat. One following as the other was leading. Sasuke licked an appreciative trail up Naruto’s jaw and along the shell of his ear.
“Show’s over?” He whispered in low, nearly inaudible tones.
Naruto shivered, pressing Sasuke into him with the hand on his back. “Show’s over,” he said, grinning, eyes scanning a murmuring crowd. Their hands slid together, fingers linking as they left the dance floor and headed toward the exit. They let their hands fall to their sides. Naruto pocketed his as he followed Sasuke up the stairs. He gave one last glance, hoping to catch the eyes of those spying on them. Naruto flashed a wicked smile before ducking his head to hide under his bangs. All that could be heard was his deep laughter as it echoed from the stone stairwell and out onto the floor as they let the heavy door shut behind them with a slam that rocked the brick building’s aged foundation.
