12 Years Ago:
“Mr. Raines, I wasn’t expecting you till later.” The young woman smiled as she opened the door for him. She looked past Claude Raines toward his vehicle. “I got the impression there was going to be two of you?” She asked him.
Claude stood for a moment thinking. Could he really do this- betray the company? It wasn’t too late, he could change his mind now-do away with the girl and walk away. But, once he told her what the company meant to do with her, it would be too late.
He reached into his pocket-bypassing his gun-and pulled out the ticket.
“Here.” He handed it to her. She took it reluctantly after throwing her dish towel over her shoulder.
“What’s this?” She asked, knowing full well it was a plane ticket.
“You have to leave. Quickly.” He walked past her, into her home and into her bedroom. He grabbed her suitcase and began throwing random clothing into it.
“What are you doing…?” she tried to stop him but he paused long enough to answer her.
“There were supposed to be two of us. We were supposed to eliminate you. Company’s orders.” He went back to feverously throwing things in the case. “My partner will be here shortly to make sure that job gets done.”
“Company? Why would…I don’t even know them?” She tried her best to pull Claude out of her room.
“I don’t know why.” Claude continued thru her meager efforts. “But, I assume it has something to do with your power.”
Leigh Ann stopped. Her eyes grew wide. “How do you know about that? I never told anyone…” Claude turned to face her.
“You’re not the only one with powers, Ann.” Then, he disappeared right in front of her eyes.
She raised a single hand out to touch where he had been. Her hand found his shirt. He was still there, but invisible. He reappeared in that moment. “Lets get you someplace safe, yeah?” He asked in his British accent. She nodded, looked down at the ticket to New York, then went to grab her makeup bag.

Present Day:
“Corporeal-relating to the physical body rather than the mind or spirit.”
The last school bell of the day rang, students began jumping up from their seats. “Remember, I want all definitions in by Monday.” She yelled after the students as they piled out of the room.
Leigh Ann Mettle rubbed her eyes and sat down at her desk. After a sigh, she began grading the large stack of papers she had accumulated this last week. Before long, she realized she had been there over an hour and her and the janitor were the only people still left at the school. She began to put the papers away when she heard something. One of the desks in the back moved.
Her head shot up and sitting in the back row was a man. Dark hair and dark eye brows were the only features she picked up on at first. Must be a parent. She told herself, but why would a parent sneak in and sit there, watching her?
“Can I help you?” She asked him. A slow smile crept up on his face.
“You know, Leigh. I believe you just might.”
