Disclaimer: I don't own High School Musical, E! News or even Hairspray for that matter. But however, I do own the storyline and Clark, Troy's agent.

Summary: Troy is a famous movie star, but wears the bad boy image. So when his new agent comes around, he's sent to East High in Albuquerque to prepare for his next movie. However, he sees that the other side might not be so bad when he falls for Gabriella Montez.

A/N: This has been an idea that's been constantly bugging me for the past month or so. I'm sure a few of you who may read this now can recall how I asked what you thought of it when I put up a trailer. So after a month, this story is finally here! Now I know the first few chapters maybe somewhat slow and short, but they're only short introductions for now. Tell me what you think of Troy! This is my first story centered around him and I want to know what YOU think of his nasty character so far. Anyway, please read, review and enjoy the first chapter!

Chapter One

Troy Bolton

Thousands of adoring movie fans were all gathered amongst the people who longed to get a quick glimpse of Hollywood’s latest rising star. He had been making a name for himself in the past two years or so. Many teenage girls screamed his name, as they jumped in the air as high as they could because he was finally here. The paparazzi and reporters that had gathered here also turned their attention to the silver limo that had just arrived and parked up in front of the red carpet. The screams became evidently louder, as the star of the show finally stepped out of the limo.

Donning one of the most expensive black suits armed with a gold chain, white shirt that had the first few buttons undone, black pants, slick shoes and black sunglasses to match, Troy Bolton was a superstar. He was quite literally bringing sexy back. The girls screamed louder, as he extended his hand to touch their fingers. Just one touch almost made some of them see their lives flash before their eyes and faint. Some of them had to be taken away for emergency treatment. Others were being crushed in the meantime, no matter how hard the security were trying to hold them back.

Paparazzi kept on taking pictures of him, which, thankfully, hadn’t blinded him. Troy wouldn’t attend his new movies without wearing his shades. There were hundreds of flashes a minute coming from the photographers – and it didn’t do him well either, considering that he had to ensure that he was able to see at all times. Already, reporters were asking him questions. Most of them, he would ignore and love to keep them in the dark at times. He wasn’t much for letting people invade his private life. His private life remained private. Heck, he hadn’t allowed MTV to check his crib! Neither had he been Punk’d by Ashton Kutcher or his crew because his bodyguards wouldn’t allow it whatsoever.

“Another success with the popular teenage heartthrob has brought his fortune to millions!” one reporter was beaming at the camera, whilst holding her microphone. “Troy Bolton is guaranteed to be one of the youngest talents to earn over a cool ten million this year after it was alleged that he was paid five million dollars to play the role of Link Larkin for his new movie, Hairspray.” She glanced at Troy, who was standing a metre away talking to another reporter. “And we’re standing right next to him now!” Troy was walking when he stopped and winked at the reporter. “Could we possible snatch you for an interview, Troy?”

“Absolutely,” he said, smiling his one million dollar smile. “You’re E! News, right?”

“On to the point, how did you mentally prepare for this role?”

“Well, I had to gain five pounds for the role and also had to brush up on my singing. It was a little hard for me to actually put on the weight and not exercise because, well, what seventeen-year-old wouldn’t want to stay in shape? But I did gain the weight eventually and we filmed in Canada for three months as well as another month to record the soundtrack.”

“The soundtrack is so phenomenal that it reached the number one spot in the chart! How did you feel when you heard the news?”

Troy laughed. “Well, I felt awesome as usual,” he grinned. “But I also realised that maybe I should start a singing career if everybody’s anticipating an album. You know what I mean, right?” The reporter nodded eagerly. “So who knows? Maybe that could happen in the future, maybe it might not. We won’t know yet. But what comes around goes around, I guess.” That means my chance of a singing career is still going ahead. Let’s admit it – what record label can resist me? All I gotta do is wait for those offers to come rolling in. “But singing in the movie was sensational, I’ll tell you now. Who wouldn’t like to sing, dance and act all in one movie?”

It dragged on forever. As soon as Troy got his interviews, waves to the strong army of teenage girl fans and got his picture taken by the paparazzi with his fellow co-stars of the movie, he went inside. But instead of watching the full feature movie, he opted not to watch it. As soon as he sneaked through the back door, his agent was already waiting in the driving seat of Troy’s silver Volvo. When he saw Troy making his way angrily towards him.

“Get out of my seat, you moron!” he hissed as not to alert anyone to his presence. “Clark, I told you to always get out of the driving seat as soon as you got here! What’s wrong this time? Did you just happen to be admiring what happened to be my DNA on there?” Clark was about to reply, but he was cut off, unfortunately. “You know what? Shut up, Clark. I’m not in the mood to talk anymore.” He got into the driver’s seat the moment that his agent was in the passenger’s seat. “Ohhh, look at this. Your filthy mustard got all over my driving wheel again. You’re crossing a fine line, Clark.”

“Mr Bolton! I didn’t –” Clark tried to cut right in.

But Troy was quick enough to be the bossy one yet again. “Clark! Take responsibility for your own actions. Gee, I’m a movie star here! Would I be so foolish to get some mustard on my own steering wheel? Let’s get real here. I’m the special one here, you’re the one that makes all the mistakes.”

Clark lowered his head, feeling embarrassed. He shook his head, knowing that the nightmare hadn’t finished, even though Troy was already driving back to his house a few miles away.

“I told you that I wanted to meet Will Smith today! But you lost his number!”

“I’m sorry, Mr Bolton! Please don’t fire me!”

“My mind was made up last week – you really ARE fired as of now!”

“Sir, I’m sorry! I – I won’t do it again! I can do better! I need this job! PLEASE!”

Troy was furious. He was so used to getting his own way – and he ensured that through getting Clark to arrange everything for him, despite the fact that he acted as his agent. Several times, Clark suggested that he should get a PA, but of course, Troy rejected because he didn’t want some lousy blonde doing all the work for him. And he wasn’t in the mood for his PA to flirt and make out with him. He never had time for women, if he should say so himself. He was just … never in the mood.

“I shouldn’t have to repeat myself!” yelled Troy. “Get out of here now before I call security!”

Clark gulped; he wasn’t lying. The famous (and perhaps infamous at the same time, too) Troy Bolton wasn’t taking any chances. Clark was hardly dangerous, anyway. He decided that leaving quietly would be the best shot that he had. However, he had a different perspective in his mind. He picked up his car keys and files. As Troy went to sit down at his desk and turned on his laptop, Clark walked over to his former boss, knowing that this was the only time to get a piece of his mind out.

“You know something? Don’t you ever think that I wasn’t there for you when your career took off,” he growled, prompting Troy to glare coldly at him. “Because if you do, then you’re wrong. In your head, you can deny it. But in your heart? Well, using your head and heart are two different things, Troy.” He usually called Troy by Mr Bolton, but of course, that wasn’t appropriate anymore. “And let me give you a little bit of advice. If you continue to be cold, cruel and selfish, then you’ll never find what you’re looking for in your life. No one will ever love you if they knew the sickening truth about your antics.”

Before Troy had chance to fight back, Clark was already out of the door, leaving him somewhat speechless. When he pulled himself together and told himself that he didn’t mean it at all, Troy picked up the cordless phone and dialled a specific number.

“Hey, Max,” he said. “Yeah, of course it’s me! Who else is it going to be? Listen, I need you to do me a really big favour …” Barely a minute later, Troy burst out laughing. “What’s in it for you? Why is it that everyone wants something from Troy Bolton? Ohhh, that’s right! Because I’m actually someone in this world! Let’s put it this way, shall we? If you help me, then I’ll give you a major boost on your club downtown in Boston.” He nodded his head a few seconds later. “That’s right, Max. I’ll officially put your club on the map and everyone will come pouring in when they see Troy Bolton’s there.”
