Chapter 1

Alex's POV

Shit, its 11pm, she must be online.

I threw my just washed clothes that I should be folding onto the bed and headed over to grab my laptop. I turned it on and grabbed and sat at my desk.

Come on, come on, load already damn shit.

After 5 minutes it loaded and I quickly signed onto msn. She's still on.

ARP says: Oh, I see your still on, waiting for me?

What? I ain't gonna sound desperate and make her think I came on for her. Ok, sure I did, but i'm not going to let her know that, now am I?

ARP says: Sure. Forgetting that, how was your day? Figure me out yet?

We have been talking about 7 months now, on our school chat room, and yet I have no idea who she is. I can't believe she is a girl that goes to my school, because she is nothing like the girls in our school.

ARP says: i'm trying, but its hard. Theres no one like you at our school.

Shit, I wasn't supposed to say that to her. And now she isn't typing. Hello, where are you?! I have scared her away.

ARP: I came onto this chatroom to talk to people, well to students who also hide who they are. But then when I came here, people only wanted to talk to me if I revealed who I am. But...I just wanted to talk to someone and be real. Be me. School, it changes who you are. Everyone is a fake, they hide who they are...even me. I read over it, unable to finish the sentence I clicked send and signed out.

Next day...

"Yo, Alex, where have been this weekend?" my friend Austin asked as I walked into the school grounds.

"Oh, nowhere, just at home, lazying around, you know how it is" I shrugged.

Truth?

I had been home all weekend. However not lazying around, doing work, and no not as in school work. I work for a local newspaper, part time of course, and I write for them. I had to finish up an article. If my friends knew I would never hear the end of it. I can imagine people talking already.

"Alex P, a writer? But...he's on the football team, he's like...an athlete"

An athlete, thats how i'm seen, thats my thing according to the world that is our schoo-

"Alex, baby, you even listening?" what?

"Oh hey Anya, didn't see you. Sorry" my girlfriend. Of two years, and in everyones view, the 'it' couple of the school.

She pouted. God I hate that pout. "Thats ok, but I missed you this weekend"

Now, she seems nice, and she is...sometimes. Well to anyone she likes. And she likes me. But truth be told, since she came into my life. Well, I look at me and Anya, and question why we are together.

"...Alex! Your not even listening!"

"Sorry, what were you say-

"Talking about the lame dance, forget that man, lets leave the chicks to gossip, and lets go for a run, then we can get some game in before class" Austin said interupting me.

"Well actually-

"No, no excuse, we didn't see you all...

I actually have to go see my english teacher, he's the one that got me the job, he got me the job, and I just needed him to proof read my stuff.

"...and then the extra hours you missed training over the weeken-

"If I say yes, will you shut up?" I asked. Sigh. What can I say...i'm too nice.

"Yes"

"Then lets go" Nothing like a morning run to start your day right? Well I had a run already, my everyday 6am run.

Just then my our other friend Joe showed up, he's also on the team. We were then about to leave when Anya grabbed my wrist.

"No kiss?"

Right.

I kissed her, and our kisses...well they didn't mean anything to me anymore. I think shes great, but she's...well she's not he-

"Alex?"
