Please read: I’m going to start reposting some of the earlier chapters in this story (obviously this is the first one). What I have planned is that I’ll repost one of the earlier chapters if I don’t get enough reviews for the newest one. So, if you want newer chapters, you got to review. Also, I’m going to post the character description on my profile instead.
Another new thing, I’m also going to start adding the honorifics, so if you’re new to reading this don’t be surprised if some of the earlier chapters have them and the others don’t.
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, any of the characters, or its plot. However, I do own Mika, and any other OC’s that may appear in the future.

“Nee-chan, why can’t you come today?” Sasuke-kun asked me.
“I’m sorry about that Sasuke-kun, but I have a mission today and chances are that I won’t be back until late this evening. It was Itachi-kun himself that had it requested that it was me that did this mission and it can’t be put off,” I apologized, somewhat sadly.
It was Sasuke-kun’s first day at the ninja academy. He had wanted me, his older sister, to be there to pick him up after school that day. But I was busy, just like Itachi-kun usually was lately. That was strange for me to do though I’d usually try and get out of it for him. I didn’t have a say in the matter this time though.
“Nee-chan, why have you been acting weird the last few days? It’s not just you though, Nii-kun has been acting strange too,” Sasuke-kun asked.
“And since when have I ever acted normal unless I absolutely had to?” I replied, smiling a bit.
“Nee-chan, you know that I meant that you’re acting weirder than you normally do.”
“Well, it’s mostly because of Itachi-kun. It feels like he’s keeping something away from me and you know how it bothers me when he does anything like that. Also, I just became a chuunin a few months ago so it could have something to do with that. But could you please promise me something?”
“Sure, but what is it exactly?”
“If Itachi-kun were to do something really drastic and then leave Konoha. Don’t get all with me if I leave Konoha too, ok? It wouldn’t be up to me, well not completely anyways.”
“Ok, but why do you think something like that might happen?”
“It’s just a gut feeling I have, so you shouldn’t worry too much about it; you’re too young to be worrying about that kind of thing anyway. Well then, I have to go do my mission now.”
“Bye Nee-chan!”
I left, leaving a very confused little boy that goes by the name of Sasuke-kun alone in my bedroom.

It was very late at night by the time I had gotten home to the Uchiha clan from that day’s mission. The entire time I had been very nervous and had one time almost thrown up; it was still there though and growing with each passing minute. I walked quietly into the Uchiha compound; secretly dreading with all my might what I knew had more than likely happened. It was oddly quiet as I walked down the first street, trying to get to my home, not one single person in sight. I almost silently walked down the next street that was on the way to mine and my family’s home.
I took a small breath and held it for a few moments but ended up quickly letting it out; the sight of so many different Uchihas dead wasn’t all too surprising to me right now. My entire clan, not including myself and at least 1 other people, had been most likely killed tonight. I quickly ran to my house and home; desperately avoiding all the dead bodies on the ground; as I realized something very important. If anyone at all had been spared, chances are that it had been Sasuke-kun.
When I had finally had gotten there, I ran straight to the back of the Uchiha main house (which was my family’s). My parents were lying down; they were definitely dead, there was no doubt about that fact. Lying down beside them was, of course Sasuke-kun. I watched him very closely for a few seconds or so, and sighed in relief as I saw his chest rise and then fall. At least he had not been killed in this place, after witnessing such a complete nightmare.
“Don’t cry Mika, you’re not allowed to cry in front of Sasuke-kun. Even if he’s not awake at the moment,” I murmured to myself, as I looked at the frightening scene.
Quickly, I picked Sasuke-kun up off of the floor and brought him to his room, which was untouched by the bloodshed. Carefully, I put him down on his bed, the only reasonable place in the house at this time.
“I’m so sorry about all of this, Sasuke-kun,” I whispered to him, before leaving the room, probably never to return.

An hour and a half later, I was walking out of the front gates of Konoha. All I had was my weapons, some food, a few extra sets of clothes, some money that had been given to me and a picture of Itachi-kun, Sasuke-kun, and me all by the lake together. I knew full well that I was just on the verge of becoming a missing ninja; I had planned on that happening, for there was no other choice.
“Nee-chan, where are you going?” someone called after me.
I turned around to see the one and only Sasuke-kun standing there, looking very confused.
“Sasuke-kun, come here,” I said, kneeling down.
He ran into my arms, starting to sob, he really was very scared about all of this. I hugged him, trying to comfort my crying little brother.
“Sasuke-kun, I have to go now, ok?” I told him softly, as his crying decreased.
“What?! Why do you have to do that now?!” he cried, looking up at me.
“Because there are too many memories, too much hurt. I’m older than you by 6 years or so I’ll have many more memories of this place, of doing stuff with people, constant reminders. It would be so much harder for me to not start crying if I even just walk by the compound or anything small like that. I know you are only going to remember the bad times with Itachi-kun but sometimes you need to remember all of the good times too. Remember that and please don’t be mad at me, Sasuke-kun.”
“I-I’m not mad at you, Nee-chan. There’s no way I could ever be mad at you.”
I smiled softly at his comment, knowing that it could happen and silently knocked him out, it was better for him not to have to watch you leave. Then there wouldn’t be another bad memory lingering in his mind.
Third Person –
It was morning by the time Sasuke woke up again and this time he was at the hospital. He was immediately fussed over; everyone wanted to know what had happened just that night. It wasn’t until they had left that he noticed the note that he’d been clutching tightly in his hand. Cautiously, he opened it up and read it.
“Dear Sasuke-kun,
I’m sorry that I had to leave like that but it is as I had told you. I took some food, weapons, and clothes. Once again, please don’t be angry at me or try to come find me. Also, if anyone asks about me could you tell them I had died in the massacre and that you have no idea what else had happened to me. The reason for that is that my body won’t be found with the rest, actually it won’t be found at all (obviously). The third Hokage knows that I’m alive and well, he can also get a hold of me, if I’m needed badly enough.
Love,
Mika Uchiha.”
