This is a short one-shot for my best gal friend (from school) Rose-chan. It's her birthday present. I was suppose to post it last Saturday, the day of her birthday, but I got home late from her party and I didn't have time this whole week... Anyway, I'm going to post a different one-shot for her birthday present, but not soon.

I hope everyone likes it because this girl was about to kill me in the damn jumper! Yeah... I used her crushes name in her... and then the last part... and yeah... (Gomene Rose-chan...)

“We finally arrived to Konoha…”

My name is Rose Akai.

I know I know, but my father’s last name was Akuma and my mother’s was Ai. They wanted my last name to have a little something of both, I guess. So they combined the first two letters of their last name. It’s ironic though, because it was my father’s idea to combine their last names, and he died the next day. Scary on how fast things could happen so fast…

Anyway, I’m officially 17 years old. I turned 17 an hour ago. I was born on October the fourth at 7:19 a.m.

My mom and I had decided that we would move to Konoha the day that I turned 17. We’ve been planning this ever since I was 11. We use to live in the land of fire. It was a nice place to live, but too many people started attacking us about a week ago. (Ironic)

“Yes. Finally.”

My mom has yellow hair and it goes right below her mid-back. You would never know though because she always has it in a bun. Her eyes are crimson and, at first glance, people thought that she was part of the Uchiha clan. It’s funny how people stay away from her, and others are attracted to her by her eyes. She’s a nice person to get along with. She helps you out on most of your problems and she loves to try anything new. I’m really glad I have her for a mom.

I, on the other had, have green hair. It’s cut sort, to my shoulders, and my hair is wavy. (My dad had blue hair and had it curly. My mom has her hair straight. (blue+yellowgreen; curly+straightwavy.))

We started walking to the gate of the village and a guy asked us,

“State your names and what is your business?”

“I’m Rose Akai and this is my mother, Maron Ai. We’re here to see Lady Tsunade to ask if there are any apartments that we could buy.”

The guy just stared at us for a long minute before coming up with his answer. He let us pass, and we were amazed of the village. It was beautiful. It’s better than what we, my mother and I, imagined. We walked in about two steps when someone yelled,

“WAIT!”

I turned to my right and saw a blond guy, my age, running towards my mother and me. He seemed to be looking up instead of where he was going. I jumped in front of my mother, put my arms out, and stood fiercely on the ground.

The guy bumped into my hands, and I pushed him back a couple of feet. His back hit a brick wall of a building.

“ROSE! You shouldn’t be doing things like this when we just came here!” my mom whispered.

“Sorry…” I replied

I ran to the blond kid. He was opening his eyes when I said,

“I’m sorry about that. You were about to bump into my mom and I just thought on my feet. Please forgive me…” I bowed in respect

The blond kid smiled at me and stood up-right. He said,

“It’s okay. It’s my fault for not looking. By the way, I’m Naruto Uzumaki. You are?”

“OH!” I stood straight now, “My name is Rose Akai. My mother is Maron Ai. It’s very nice to meet you. Is it okay if I call you Naruto?”

“Sure. So, Akai-chan, where are you headed to? I know I haven’t seen you… are you new in the village?”

“My mother and I are headed to see Lady Tsunade. We’re going to look for a place to stay. We just came to the village when this happened…” I gestured my hand to the cracked wall behind Naruto. “I am terribly sorry about that. I never meant for this to happen.”

“No worries. No damages done.”

“Yeah… Not to you, but what about the wall? Won’t Lady Tsunade get mad about this?”

“Grandma might get mad, but I can guarantee that you get a place to stay.”

“Oh my gosh! Really?”

“Yup. Just follow me. Can you and Ms. Ai run fast?”

“Yeah we do. Let’s get a move on!” I said excitedly.

“Fine! Naruto just shut the hell up would you?!”

My mother and I flinched as Lady Tsunade rose her voice…

“Arigatou Obachan!”

“Yeah yeah. What ever. Miss Akai, Ms. Ai, please sign these papers and Naruto will show you to your new home.”

“Yes ma’am.” My mother and I said in union.

A couple minutes later, we left the Hokage’s office and walked into our new home…

“Oh Wow! This place is amazing!!” I squealed

“Rose, please don’t too excited.” My mom said

“Okay, I won’t…” and then I giggled. “Um, I’ll just be a minute Naruto; I just have to change clothing first.”

“Okay.”

Then I left the room.

Naruto had invited me to go to a party. It was suppose to be a “huge” party, but I doubt it. No one ever says that they have big parties and then have ‘em. Usually when they say that it’s because they don’t want people to think oh, it’s one of those crapy parties. I don’t want to go. Why can’t they have a big party instead? And that’s why people say that it’s a “big” party.

I walked into a room and shut the door. I took out my backpack and started to change clothing. I had taken out a mini jean skirt (don’t kill me…) and a black tank top. I got dressed and put on black converse, a dark red necklace, dark red earrings, and a dark red bracelet. I didn’t need to do my nails because I had painted them black this morning and they weren’t messed up. I released my hair from the ugly bun I had and brushed my hair. I split my hair in the middle and put a black rose hair clip in my right side. When I was satisfied, I left the little room.

I went back to where Naruto and my mom where and asked,

“So? How do I look? And be honest…”

They both turned to look at me.

“Honey!” my mom said with a smile “You look wonderful dear!”

“Thanks. Naruto? Be honest.”

“Eto…” his face was bright red and his eyes were widely open. His mouth was open really big and he just continued to stare at me.

“N-Naruto…?”

He shook his head and said…

“You look… nice.”

I giggled because he turned away with a red face. It was cute to watch him like that.

“Okay… You ready?”

He got up, walked to the door, opened it, reached out a hand and said…

“After you.”

I walked up to my mom and kissed her good-bye.

“Even though Lady Tsunade sold us this place with the furniture, don’t think that they’re too old and buy more. Okay?”

“Fine… Have a nice time dear.”

“You too. And don’t get lost mom.”

I went over to Naruto and took his hand.

“So, you’re new here? How do you like Konoha so far?” asked Ino.

“I love it. Thanks for asking.”

I’ve been introduced to everyone at this party. This party is to celebrate Neji’ coming of age or something. I’ve been introduced to Neji, Hinata, Hanabi, Mr. Hyuga, Sakura, Saskue, Ino, Choji, Shikamaru, Gaara, Temari, Kakuro, Kiba, Shino, Tenten, Rock Lee, Gai, Kakashi, and Iruka. I met more people, but I didn’t pay any attention to their name. I was staring at a certain someone at the time.

I was brought back from my thoughts when someone pulled me from where I was standing.

“HEY! What do you think you’re doing!?”

“HN” was all he said

“Where are you taking me?!”

“Just shut up and follow me.”

“Fine…”

The idiot let go of my arm and walked faster. I follow the jerk into a garden of some sort. He stopped and turned around to face me…

I stopped and just glared at him… I finally spoke…

“What do you want? I was having a good time where I was.”

“…”

“Well? Aren’t you going to speak? Or does this particular loud mouth Hyuga know when it’s a good time to shut their trap?!”

I looked at him and he looked back at me… he started to move closer and, tightly, grabbed my shoulders….

“IODIOT! That hurts!”

His grip just got tighter…

“LET GO OF ME!!” I kicked him in his special place and he fell to the ground. I smirked, but then something wrapped around my waist…

“I knew you were going to do that. Did you purposely think that it was going to be me down there?” he whispered in my ear.

I looked to where the Hyuga was, and it disappeared in a puff of smoke…

“UGH! What in the name of hell do you want?!”

“Just listen to me… Please…”

“You have ten seconds to tell me whatever you want to tell me… starting…NOW!”

“Okay, first of all, I want to say thank you for coming and, even though I don’t know you, you’re a pleasure to have around-”

“Five.”

Then he turned me around, looked me in the eyes, and said

“And you look marvelous tonight.”

I stopped counting and turned my face. I felt my face getting hotter, and I didn’t want him to see the blush that was coming…

‘SHIT!’

He grabbed my face with both of his hands and turned my face so that I was staring at him.

“Don’t turn away.”

I looked down…

“Why won’t you look at me?” he sounded hurt

“Because I don’t know you that well and saying that I look marvelous from a stranger is kinda weird…”

“How about if we get to know each other better then?”

My eyes went wide when I felt his lips on mine. This would piss me off if this was my first kiss that was stolen, but apparently it wasn’t. (Rose,DO NOT GET MAD AT MEFOR THIS!) My first kiss was with my first boyfriend, Jason. He was a sweet heart, but then he moved and so we broke up. To tell you the truth, he’s a better kisser than Jason…

I kissed him back for like two seconds before I remembered that Tenten liked him. I pushed him back.

“DUDE! You like some other girl for heaven’s sake!”

“I did, but then she got a boyfriend and so I don’t like anyone but you…”

It shocked me, because Tenten wasn’t with any guy at the party. She was always with some of the girls… She was occasionally with Naruto, but I don’t think that counted because Naruto was making out with Saskue a while ago…

Neji then snaked his arms around my waist again and kissed my cheek.

“I’m sorry for that. I didn’t mean to kiss you. You obviously have a boyfriend or something.” He whispered in my ear…

He was removing his arms from my waist when I noticed what he did. I got his arms and put them back on my waist.

“No, I don’t. We broke up a week ago, but he got a girl the very next day… it hurt me so much, but I don’t know if I can handle being alone again…”

I rested my head on his chest and hugged him. His embrace tightened, but it felt good. I’ve had Jason for about four years, and I guess that I got use to having someone hugging me and kissing me…

“Can you please consider the idea of us being together? I really do like you very much. I couldn’t take my eyes off of you throughout the whole time you were here at the party… I also noticed that you couldn’t either…”

“That’s true, and I guess… I guess we could, but you have to remember that I just broke up with Jason…”

“Of course.”

He bent down and kissed me again. I didn’t flinch this time and so I kissed him back…

“So, you guys just met and you’re brining him to your house today?”

“Yup. He’s a sweet guy Naruto; I don’t see why you hate him so much…”

So, today’s the day after the party and Neji was coming with a birthday gift for me and a house warming present for my mom. Last night, we were together for the whole party. We were mostly holding hands and he would have his arms around my wais sometimes. Turns out, Shino was Tenten’s boyfriend.

“He thinks he’s all that!”

“What ever Naruto… Hey! How’d you get in my house anyway?”

“Your mom let me in. I think she thinks that we’re dating or something…”

“Why do you think that?”

“Because she’s always saying that you and your boyfriend just broke up and that you need someone better than him to be yours.”

“What do you expect from her?”

“Well… yeah…”

Doorbell rings

I checked myself in the mirror before I got to the door. I had put on a pair of fading blue jeans, a white see-through top (with a black top underneath), and my black with white ‘ZOO YORK’ (all rights reserved) shoes. I had left my hair down.

I went over to the door and opened it.

“Hey, good morning beautiful.”

“Good morning handsome.” I smiled and he hugged me. I hugged him back and let him inside.

“Rose dear? Who’s that at the door?” my mom asked from the kitchen

I lead Neji into the kitchen and said…

“Mom, this is Neji… Neji, this is my mom, Maron Ai.”

“Good morning ma’am.”

“OH! Hello!”

“Mom, Neji’s my boyfriend…”

“He is? But, what about Naruto?” she sounded sad…

“Mom, Naruto is gay…” I told her. She turned red and said…

“I didn’t know…”

I left the kitchen and let Neji in my room. Naruto had left a couple minutes after because Saskue had invited him to go to some movie…

“So, your room is… not what I expected…”

“This junk was already here when we moved in…”

There was a knock on my door…

“Yeah?”

“Honey, I’m going to go out shopping. I really need to get a couple of things. Do you need anything? Clothing? Jewelry?”

“No thanks mom…”

“Okay. Bye sweetie…”

“BYE!” I yelled as she closed the front door.

“Neji… if my mom finds out, I’m in so much trouble… we have to clean up my room…”

“Okay, but you might want to get dressed first… I’ll make your bed.”

“Thanks.”

...

And that’s how my life started in Konoha. Neji and I lasted and my mom wanted kids so me and him were trying not to think about that every time we were around her. I blushed every time she brought up the subject and he’d just put his hand on my thigh just to tease me…

He did turn out to be extra sweet, and Jason called once in a while. It turns out that he got married to the chick and got a divorce from her. He wanted to get back together, but I told him that I was engaged… I laughed every time I told him that because it was a lie, but the look Neji gave me whenever I said it around him…

I did have kids, but I won’t say if it was from Neji or some other guy… my life turned out to be rather good and my mom got remarried. I now had two adopted little sisters and an older brother that was from my new step-dad. I love the way my life is… and I hope that it never changes…
