Chapter 1 - Not Boarding School

“Sakura, Ino, could you two please give that magazine a rest and come down here, we have something important to tell you” called Sakura's mum from downstairs.

“Coming mother” sighed Sakura. “Hey Ino, do you think they’ve decided to move to the Hidden Leaf village so we can go to Leaf High?”

“Who knows, but I sure hope so” Ino sprinted down the stairs with Sakura close behind. The kitchen was bright with the smell of cooking food. “What do you have to tell us?”

“Well honey” Ino's mum said, “we’re going to send you to Leaf High but" before she could finish Ino and Sakura started screaming and jumping around in joy “Sakura, we’re going, we’re going”

“Guys, you’ll be going but... you’ll be going to boarding school”

“WHAT!?” they said in unison “BOARDING SCHOOL!?”

Ino's Pov.

Sakura and I bid our parents goodbye and pushed through the overly large crowd dragging our overly packed bags behind us towards the bus to the Hidden Leaf village. On the bus I recognized several familiar but not so familiar faces. There was Hinata Hyuga sitting next to Neji Hyuga, her elder cousin. Behind them was Sasuke Uchiha and a hyperactive Naruto. Further along there was Shikamaru Nara sitting alone and Rock Lee and Tenten behind him. I didn’t really know any of them but I knew that they went to Leaf High.

I wonder if any of them will talk to us... They must notice new faces... right? I was interrupted by a yell from somewhere behind us. I turned my head to see it was Tenten.

“Hinata come sit over here, at the back with me.” Tenten called from the back. Hinata shyly walked over to her briefly glancing at Sakura and I. Shikamaru shifted and seated himself next to Neji and started lazily listening to Naruto ramble on and on about his holidays.

My head smacked into the seat in front of me as the bus unexpectedly jerked forward. The person sitting in that seat turned his head round, “You ok there?” he asked.

“Yeah, I’m fine” I replied nervously.

“You’re Ino Yamanaka, right? The girl who works at that flower shop”

“Yeah, and this is my friend Sakura Haruno” I said gesturing to her.

“Cool, I’m Kiba Inuzuka. Nice to meet you ladies” he turned his head back towards the front and started talking to the guy sitting next to him.

“Looks like we’ve already made a new friend, eh Ino” smile Sakura.

“Yeah”

As soon as the bus arrived me and Sakura dragged our bags and started following everyone else as they knew where they were going. ‘This place is so big; I don’t think I’m going to be able to find my way around.’ The crowd led to a large room that was filled with couches, beanbags and cushions of many different sizes. There were two large doors on the far wall, presumably leading to the girl’s dorm and the boy’s dorm.

Everyone was clustered around a small piece of paper that had the room assignments on it. Sakura was at the front scanning it to find her name and hopefully mine. I waited for her to squeeze her way out of the crowd.

“Ino we’re in the same room!” she cheered, bouncing up and down, “along with Tenten and Hinata Hyuga”

Tenten and Hinata had heard Sakura and made their way to us.

“Hi, I’m Ino Yamanaka” I held out a hand.

“Tenten” she shook my hand briefly and glanced at Sakura. “And you’re Sakura, yeah?”

“Yep” Sakura replied happily. “And you’re Hinata, correct?” She asked to the shyer girl next to Tenten.

“y-yes” Hinata stuttered.

“Don’t worry about her” said Tenten “she’ll get better once you get to know her. So is this your first year at Leaf High?”

“Yeah” I said, feeling a lot less nervous than I had before. I glanced around to see that everyone had gone to meet their new roommates except for four guys, they looked about the same age as us.

“Cool, I was here last year and so was Hinata and…” Tenten glanced over at the four boys, I followed her gaze “so were they, Sasuke Uchiha, Neji Hyuga who is Hinata cousin, Shikamaru Nara and Naruto Uzumaki.” I saw Tenten's face fill up with disgust as they glared at us.

Neji and Sasuke's glare was a lot icier than Naruto's and Shikamaru's. Neji seemed to be looking straight at me as if I was his worst enemy. What’s wrong with him? I glared straight back, which earned me a glare from the rest of them. Tenten and Hinata gave me a funny look and Sakura looked at me with some concern in her eyes.

We continued glaring at each other for about five minutes until Neji decided that he was bored and went to check out his dorm, the others following behind him whilst muttering things to each other.

“Ok, spill. What the hell was going on between you two?” Tenten's voice was overly demanding.

“What? Nothing I don’t even know him” I choked out.

“We’ll let you off this ti..."

“T-Tenten I think that... Maybe… N-Neji was looking at her first… L-like he was checking her out” Hinata stammered and blushed deeply.

Wait… What did she say…? Neji Hyuga, one of the sexiest guys was checking me out… Its must have been a mistake… Not me… Never me…

Tenten’s Pov.

Ok, I think Hinata’s gone crazy, Neji checking Ino out, not to put her down or anything but I can’t even get his attention. Wait am I jealous? I can’t be I got over Neji ages ago, or am I just pissed because she got Neji's attention and I didn’t and I was trying to get it for so long? Arggh! I’m so confused, I pretty sure it the second one but what if its not?

I glanced at Ino who was now staring at a map of the school with Sakura; I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder. Hinata was looking at me with those eyes which said ‘I-know-something’s-wrong-Tenten-so-spill’; she sat down and signaled me to sit next to her. We were out of earshot (of Ino and Sakura) but we still whispered.

“Tenten what’s wrong? I haven’t seen you that spaced out since you actually liked Neji. Do you still like him?”

“I don’t know Hinata, I think I’m just mad because she actually got his attention, but I think there’s just a tad bit of jealousy.”

“Well even if Ino likes him, I’m sure she’ll stay away because you made it clear that if they want to be our friends then they have to hate them. There’s only going to be a problem if Neji likes her, which I doubt he does.”

“But what if he does? I don’t like him anymore, but what if he starts to make a move on Ino, do you think she’ll be able to resist the temptation? And I don't think we told the our rules.”

“Hmm... I don't think we did, we'll tell them later. Anyway, she seems strong, I’m sure she will and we’ll be by her side all the way won’t we? Besides, I like her; I think we’ll be good friends.” Hinata smiled at the thought of getting some new members into their group.

“Yeah” I let out an unsteady laugh. “And what if Temari starts to suspect something, do you think we can handle it?”

“I don’t know, it was pretty hard last time and she’s probably got better now… But we also have two extra pairs of hands this time.”

“Her brothers are here this year though and that doesn’t really even things out since they’re guys.”

Ino and Sakura had finished analyzing the map and were now talking to the dorm head about the dorm rules. They were looking slightly bored and I can’t blame them, the dorm heads as boring as -well you can’t really compare her to anything since she’s that boring.

I wonder why she’s so boring, how can anyone be that boring? I’ve seen less boring rocks. But I guess someone must find her interesting, not everyone can find her boring, well at least that’s what I think. Hmmm… I wonder if Hinata and Naruto are ever going to get together, because I see her staring at him every second she gets. But I guess she’s holding it back because of our rules… Like I did, when I liked Neji. I hope that she fesses up soon, because I don’t want to have to get angry at her. Uh oh I’m spacing out again. Why do I keep doing that?

“T-Tenten, you’re spacing out again” Hinata stuttered tapping my shoulder softly.

“Sorry, I’ve just got a lot on my mind”

Hinata’s Pov.

Tenten’s been spacing out a lot, I don’t know what’s on her mind, but I’ve never seen her like this before. I hope she’s alright.

“Oh look, Ino and Sakura have finished talking to the dorm head”

Ino’s Pov.

“Can I have the bed by the wall which hasn’t got the door on it?” I asked as soon as I stepped into the room.

“Sure” muttered Tenten, throwing her bag onto the bed closest to the window.

The room had four beds, one by the wall in the corner, one right under the window and two on the wall with the door. The walls were painted a soft yellow with matching spongy carpet. There was a flat screen against one of the walls along with an empty bookshelf. There was a drawer under each bed and a bedside cabinet next to each. There was one closet on one of the other walls, which I presumed was for dresses and things that needed to be hung up.

“Wow, we get a flat screen” squealed Sakura childishly.

Tenten and Hinata burst out laughing, “Yeah all the rooms have one, it’s because there was trouble about the television last year and how everyone kept fighting over it.” Tenten explained, “Hinata did you bring any movies?”

“Yeah, I went shopping in the holidays and bought like 50, that should last us the year” she giggled. “But Neji chose half of them so I guess we’ll talk through them.”

“Well that’s what you’re meant to do isn’t it?” I asked puzzled.

“Yeah” laughed Tenten and Hinata.

Somehow Sakura was done unpacking her own bag and mine. “Hey do you want me to put the DVDs on the shelf?” she asked Hinata.

“B-but don’t you have to unpack?” she turned her head and saw Sakura's empty bag. “Wow, well sure then” she handed Sakura a bag packed with DVDs that Sakura started sorting out into alphabetical order.

“How did you unpack so fast?” asked Tenten. “It takes me at least half an hour.”

I laughed. “She’s scary like that, she even did mine”

“Aww… Lucky, can you do mine?” begged Tenten playfully.

“Sure” smiled Sakura, putting the last DVD on the shelf.

“I hate you Sakura” mumbled Tenten, “and I was just kidding, I’ll be fine.”

“Ok, but its going to take you a lot longer” Sakura teased.

Hinata pulled out a gorgeous deep lavender dress that matched her eyes “hey Sakura could you put that in the closet for me.” She passed Sakura the dress and Tenten handed Sakura a knee length black dress.

“What are these for?” Sakura asked awed.

“The upcoming dances, if there are any this year.” Replied Tenten, who was now sticking pictures on the wall.

“Aww… I didn’t bring anything to wear to a dance” I complained. “I saw a mall on our way here; I think I’ll go get something later”

“Good luck getting out. The rules are tight; they don’t give us much freedom”

What might happen next time

Not All My Classes

Ino starts her classes; she has most of them with her friends, Tenten, Hinata and Sakura. But she has all of them with a certain someone…

Ah… Well I might take a while to get that chapter up, but hopefully not. I’m sorry for how crap this story may or may not be… And there are probably heaps of mistakes… But if you can spare me, could you please give me at least 5 reviews or more DX
